This is good news, Iraq joined the WTO (World Trade Organization) several days ago, the government is in place, and putting a value on the Iraqi currency is in progress my husband just recieved this from a friend in iraq that he worked with and thought i would pass it along

Haha! Right on cbs71... last time I was on a roller coaster was at Cedar Pointe in Ohio. Lost all my money! It came flying out of pockets (I was younger then). Hope that doesn't happen this time.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they have to have a standardized currency for 30 days before they can join the WTO and where their currency is at now is not considered stanardized. I'm not 100% on this but pretty sure.

"tradeable currency" are the key words right? Let me just ask....since they are not yet on the WTO and since they are in control of their own government, couldn't they just do away with the present currency and start another before they went on the WTO? They seem to be giving "tenders" for gas, etc., so is this a possibility? Enlighten me please!
