The Kurds are more than happy to allow US troops to stay on in Iraq and have gone on record as saying so. After all, without US presence, they are under continuing threat not only from the Sunni and Shia factions in Iraq, but from Iran and Turkey. Since 2003, the Kurds have experienced a building boom and are actually making money selling oil for the first time in decades! In fact, the Kurdish area of Iraq is one of the only areas of Iraq that is, for the most part, violence free and without weekly suicide bombings. There have been many articles written this past year about the US pull out at year's end, but I think this LA Times article from June this year does a good job of explaining why there has been no consensus yet within Iraq itself: U.S. willing to leave 10,000 troops in Iraq past year's end, officials say I highly recommend watching Anthony Bourdain's show on his travels through Kurdistan, and into Kurdistan Turkey, for some wonderful insight into the Kurds thoughts and feelings on why they want US troops to stay. I appreciate Adam keeping this thread going. I know I'll be following it with great interest. To note, I've known through gut instinct who the tawdry bedfellows have been all along and I've avoided them like the plague. Religion and money do not make good bedfellows and neither do investment opportunities set up by MLM people wishing to cash in on peoples hopes and fears. With that said, I am somewhat concerned about the across-state lines money laundering references in some of the posts on this thread. How does that affect people who have purchased dinar across state lines or does this only relate to dollar profits made (and then shifted from state to state) from selling the dinar? This dinar water seems to be getting a bit warm. Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I'm coming to this discussion rather late. I did try to read every post on this thread. Very, very interesting.

Agreed. I pulled the photo into Photoshop and blew it up and saw cuts and signs of pasting and pixelation overlay of the cut and pasted areas (including the numbers themselves). It looks like it's been faked.

Thanks Maynard. I agree wholeheartedly. I've pulled waaayyyy back from this forum simply because there is so much nastiness. I don't need the stress. I do understand that so many people can't handle this speculation and feel tremendous emotional upheaval due to it. But many people tend to take it out on others here on this site. I for one, don't need it. I have mainly been just looking at the news as a guest and forgoing all the rumors and other stuff simply because I just don't care for all the meanness. It's sad. I hope everyone will just take a step back and realize that NO ONE ON THIS SITE HAS THE ANSWERS! We're all in the same boat and doing the best we can. Keep heart, my friends. I keep telling my family that I have no doubt that dinar will revalue, but when and for what still remains total speculation. There is simply no sense is getting all bent out of shape over this. I vote that one moderator be assigned to all newbies and that each of them be required to read the LOP forum postings before posting any new threads about a LOP. Not that I mind at all. I live with three grandchildren. "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" I have patience that a lot of people on this forum don't have. But I am getting tired of all the high blood pressure this is causing. The whole darned thing is tiring, especially with all of us on the edge. Can one moderator be assigned to those threads and do a cut and paste post to direct those people where they need to go? The rest of us just hang back and don't respond. Ignore, ignore and move on.

IMO nothing to worry about. Talibani is on board with Maliki. Allawi will continue to squawk because he has to for his party. All systems go!
