  1. I sincerely hope no one on this site spends the time to validate this statement. Just keep looking ahead, have patience, and trust that it will happen.
  2. Thanks for the post; very informative!
  3. No one knows but I think not.
  4. I hope for the sake of the Iraqi people that these guys will stop their adolescent behavior - but, as I indicated, that is only a hope.
  5. Plus, I heard that Ali has his own stash which is quite substantial. In other words, he has more than enough. There are still people in this world who are not motivated by greed and avarice, and I would put Ali into that category.
  6. I wish these guys would give it a rest. I hope that those of us here who will be blessed by our new-found wealth will, after thanking God, get involved in THEIR government. We cannot depend on BO and Big Sis to go after these thugs who are living among us.
  7. Thanks for the post; very intriguing!
  8. Thanks; this is always good information to have. I just wonder if the dynamics will change at the state level if more states fall into default like Mexifornia - I mean California - has.
  9. If they'd used Clearasil, there would be no zits - just silky smooth skin and no bumps. But what good is a roller coaster ride without bumps?
  10. It would be donwright funny if it wasn't so true to make my blood boil.
  11. And if we are indeed approaching the end of days, this is our opportunity to eliminate our debts and to set ourselves right with God (and to help others to do the same).
  12. Not sure about that, since I had my bank in the US (Huntington) wire money to a country with an exchange rate of 1 Som (Kyrgyyz money) = .40 in US currency, SWIFT Code and all. Regardless, I agree with your advice to stay calm.
  13. I agree, and yes all US Citizens should seek out and purchase goods made in the US. To solve the problem in total, though, I see the matter as very complicated. The US Government would have to 1) stop printing money, 2) cut government spending and eliminate government departments and programs, 3) deport all illegal aliens in our prisons and those we can apprehend on the streets, 4) lower the corporate tax rate to be competitive with other countries, 5) incentivize businesses to expand and build in the US and hire only those authorized to work in the US, 6) give breaks to families who want to start family or co-op farms to grow as much food as we can locally, 7) drill for oil in ANWR and the OCS and fast-track new nuclear plant approvals and construction, 8) impose tariffs on all Chinese imported goods, 9) complete the border fence and station US troops along the borders and at all ports and authorize them to use deadly force against all intruders, 10) eliminate the anchor baby provision. These are just the starters in my view and they don't address the social degradation among many of our citizens, but they all contribute to the reason the US Dollar is losing its status as a reserve currency. Savage's book Trickle Up Poverty has a more comprehensive list. Even though Soros has lots of dough, I think we can unite to thwart his efforts and bring him to justice. On that cheerful note, I wish everyone a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. It could be our last if the enemies of this country have their way.
  14. Jac, thanks for the post. It is a reminder of how far we have strayed but also of what we can once again become as a God-fearing nation. Happy Thanksgiving.
  15. Tim, thanks for posting this thread, and thanks to all who have responded. Prayer is indeed what is needed now more than ever, and as you put very well, especially after the RV occurs. God hears those who turn to Him in faith.
  16. NCW, good post. My take on this is that DV is a victim of its own success. We have built and online "rep" that has propelled this forum to be the recognized go-to- place for all things RV (and in some cases, even unrelated matters). I continue to be astonished at the number of people who become members every day, let alone the huge number of visitors that come to this forum, looking for nuggets of truth served up with a touch of inspiration. As our membership has grown, it stands to reason that the sheer amounf of information and conversations posted here presents a challenge worthy of a professional moderator team. There are so many levels of knowledge about what is going on with this investment that it's impossible to keep up with everything. This disparate environment also causes news, opinions, and links to be re-posted even though every member knows that he or she is advised to search before posting. As someone who works in the Online space with search engines and who has a graduate degree in library science (no, I don't catalogue my underwear but I do organize my dress shirts by color), the best search engines in the world would have a hard time serving up relevant search results. Given this situation, it's not at all surprising that side conversations and conference calls spring up, and even Adam and his dedicated mods can't keep up with it all. Someone here said to just chill. I couldn't agree more. Someone also said that it will happen when it happens. Again, sage advice. Apologies for this diatribe, but everyone is doing the best they can with what they have. Let's just take a moment to breathe and to thank God for what we have during this time of year.
