ronscarpa
REMEMBER, no one really knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ... RON Goldilocks Article: "Viet Nam's Minister of Finance and Central Bank Governor and other ASEAN counterparts engage in discussions with international business councils to strengthen financial ties and promote sustainable growth in the region" Quote: "As Vietnam continues to expand their economy, these new demands on their currency will justify new price actions on their currency." Militia Man They are ready to resume exports at any time. Why? Because they have the systems in place. Iraq's natural resources are phenomenal...these guys have so much natural resources it's not even funny. 1 1

We have a minimum buy of 200 pounds here if you order on line. I bought £400 worth which gave me over 11 million dong. I don't think it will rv at the same time as iraq , but you never know, but I think it is worth having a small amount. Even if it went to 25 p I would get a fantastic return. If it doesn't I can use it for a holiday to Vietnam. I think they are maybe a Yr or 2 away from an rv. Apparently before the war 1 dong was 10 bucks or there abouts Edited April 6 by BETTYBOOP

If you can buy a small amount at a time and gradually add to it , at least then you have some if it goes quicker than I expect

Could you provide the link/ sources where you get that rate before the war from?
BETTYBOOP
@rvmydinar it was many years ago I read it when I was research the dong before I bought any. I don't remember the website I have had long for about 10 yrs. I do not expect it to ever be that high again but I would be very happy at 25 p it would give me around 2.5 million pounds. Not to be sniffed at. I would never by as much long as I have dinar. What you need to remember is Iraq is an import country. Almost everything they need, they need to bring into the country. Due to this they benefit if they have a higher e change rate. Vietnam is primarily an export country so they benefit from a low exchange rate. So it could go higher but it won't be in even the dollar range. Vietnam is part of the wto. because they have the proper laws in place and they comply with the rules of the wto. Also importantly there currency is traded internationally despite the poor exchange rate. Vietnam is a well developed country compared to Iraq It engages with western society.. Iraq is still trying to do that. You can by the song in most currency exchanges across the world.. Travelling on holiday to Vietnam is relatively easy. You can't by dinar in currency exchanges across the world. You need to go to a dealer and would you want to going to Iraq any time soon on holiday? I have been to many Muslim countries on holiday and never felt in danger but iraq will never be on my.list any time soon. All of this needs to be considered as part of why the dinar still has not RV'D. It is a very small part of a very big picture. It is not as.easy as just flipping a switch which, unfortunately it was put across as that by any dealers and gurus in the beginning and some continue to do so. It is in fact a very complex process and we as investors don't have all the information or knowledge to answer all the questions. I do believe it will happen bit as many have said be fore we don't know when and we have no real idea of the rate. I don't believe it will lop. So like the restnof us , ypu can only wait. Good luck 1
