Baghdad / Al-Raq News Network - The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee revealed on Monday the suspension of operational budgets by the Ministry of Finance for the Ministry of Health and the rest of the institutions and only the payment of salaries of employees despite the approval of the three-year budget, stressing that ambulances cannot buy a single liter of gasoline. "The tripartite general budget law is in force for three years (2023, 2024, 2025) and the Ministry of Finance argues that the new tables have not been approved, and that these tables are mentioned in the budget law when there is a need," he said, stressing again that "the text of the budget law is in force for three years." "You can buy one litre of gasoline for ambulances," he said, adding that "the government should discuss this issue in the weekly cabinet meetings and disburse funds and allocations to ministries and state institutions."

Shafaq News / The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee revealed, on Monday, the suspension of operating budgets by the Ministry of Finance for the Ministry of Health and the rest of the institutions and only the payment of salaries of employees despite the approval of the three-year budget, stressing that ambulances cannot buy a single liter of gasoline.

The head of the committee, Majid Shankaly, told Shafaq News Agency, "Most health institutions in the Ministry of Health, and non-health institutions in other ministries, suffer from a lack of funding, because the Ministry of Finance today only disburses the salaries of employees and stopped the operational budget without knowing the reasons."

"The tripartite general budget law is in force for three years (2023, 2024, 2025) and the Ministry of Finance argues that the new schedules have not been approved, and that these tables are mentioned in the budget law when there is a need," Shankali added, stressing again that "the text of the budget law is valid for three years."

"The government and the Ministry of Finance should send financial allocations to all state institutions, especially health institutions," he said, noting that "today the Ministry of Health and its institutions cannot buy a single liter of gasoline for ambulances."

"The government should discuss this issue in the weekly cabinet meetings and disburse funds and allocations to ministries and state institutions," Shankali said.

I was talking about not having ambulance service. I have NO IDEA what these people are doing or thinking and I am not sure anyone else ( especially the poorus) do either!! So we wait!
