REMEMBER, no one really  knows what will happen, or when.  They're simply stating their opinions based on what they perceive to be happening in Iraq... So, take everything with a grain of salt ....  RON 

 

 

Mnt Goat   They have...fully de-pegged from the US dollar, meaning the program rate will soon no longer apply. The dinar is now on an “informal” managed float inside Iraq. They have changed the entire structure of the currency auctions with the new Electronic Platform. They have moved the rate from 1450 to 1320 and now to 1132... if you read the 5 years redevelopment plan issued 5 years ago, they are right on track. Sorry Goat, but I don't see that anywhere...The CBI website today still shows 1310...RON

Ron I do not believe they have lowered the rate to 1132. I fell this is a mis interpretation of wording. As Pimpe says  you take away the one  making it 132 and then add a zero bingo you right back at 1320 as what they had lowered it to,  Just my opinion of course.

Iraq is de-dollarized...not de-pegged.  There's a huge difference, here.
