On Sunday, the spokesman for the International Coalition, Wayne Maroto, praised the efforts of the Iraqi forces to arrest the perpetrators of the Sadr City bombing.  

 

  

Maroto said in a tweet followed by "Nass" (July 25, 2021), "Great job, our partner forces are tracking the ISIS terrorists responsible for the bombing of Sadr City on July 19."  

"We remain committed to bringing justice to those responsible for killing innocent civilians and disrupting peace in the region," he added.  

  

  

  

On Sunday, the first deputy of the House of Representatives, Hassan Al-Kaabi, called on the judiciary to impose the maximum penalties against the perpetrators of the Sadr City bombing.  

Al-Kaabi said in a tweet followed by "Nass" (July 25, 2021), "We greatly appreciate the efforts of our heroic security forces in arresting the terrorist network that planned and carried out the bombing of the Al-Wahilat market in Sadr City."    

He added, "We call on them to launch more severe operations for anyone who begs him to intimidate the security of the citizen and destroy the pillars of stability in the country."    

He continued, "We also demand the judiciary to impose the most severe penalties on the perpetrators of this brutal crime."    

  

On Sunday, the Security Media Cell published the confessions of the perpetrators of the Al-Wahailat market bombing in Sadr City, east of the capital, Baghdad.  

A statement by the cell, which Nass received (July 25, 2021), a copy of, stated that "the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior succeeded in overthrowing two terrorist networks in the provinces of Kirkuk and Anbar responsible for the bombing of Sadr City, which occurred on July 19."      

The statement added, "The two networks were planning to support the perpetrators of the Al-Wahilat market bombing and the continuation of terrorist bombings in Baghdad, specifically the Al-Bab Al-Sharqi area, in addition to targeting innocent innocents in other areas of Baghdad and the provinces with the so-called (Eid Battle)."      

The statement stressed that the security forces were able to "thwart their despicable plans and bring them to the judiciary to receive their just punishment for the crime committed by their hands against the sons of our honorable people."      

The cell presented the confessions of two members of the two networks, which indicated that one of them carried out reconnaissance operations in the areas of Bab Al-Sharji, Al-Sadr City, New Baghdad and Al-Sidiya to carry out bombings.      

While the other said, "He was in charge of carrying out a suicide operation in the capital."      

  

  

On Saturday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi announced the arrest of those involved in the Al-Wahailat market crime in Sadr City.   

  Al-Kazemi said in a tweet on “Twitter” and followed by “Nas” (July 24, 2021): “With the tears and anguish of the hearts of our people, the families of the martyrs of Sadr City, it was our way and our beacon to carry out the arrest operation of the whole cowardly terrorist network that planned and executed the treacherous attack on the “Al-Wahilat Market,” and they will be shown today. before the law and before our people, and they will be an example to every wrongdoing aggressor.”
