Turkey’s Erdogan & Russia’s Putin Begin Talks to Resolve Situation in Idlib, Syria

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin meet in Moscow to discuss a ceasefire in Syria; Receiving no help from Europe, Erdogan threatens to let more refugees into Europe; Erdogan: I hope there will be a ceasefire swiftly established.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday in Moscow to begin discussion of a ceasefire in Syria after both nations suffered serious loss last week. While Turkey is giving aid to some of the Syrian rebels, Russia backs the Syrian government led by President Bashar al-Assad. The two country’s involvement in the Syrian civil war is now causing them to meet head-to-head.

Early in their discussion, it’s reported that Putin expressed remorse for the several Turkish troops that were killed in strikes by the Syrian Army in Idlib last week, hoping they can avoid anything similar moving forward. Both countries are considering what steps they can take to ease the tension. Prior to speaking with Putin, Erdogan stated, “I hope there will be a ceasefire swiftly established.”

Over 34 Turkish soldiers were killed in an airstrike last week which led Turkey to declare a new military operation against the Assad regime known as operation ‘Spring Shield’. Since implementing its new military operation, Turkey boasts of destroying several Syrian targets.

On top of the drama surrounding Idlib, due to lack of response from Europe regarding requests for assistance from Turkish President Erdogan, Ankara is now threatening to release hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees into Europe. Such a move would be catastrophic for Europe who is still struggling with the aftermath of the current immigration crisis as well as the spread of the coronavirus. Sadly, the victim in all of this is these refugees who are being either slaughtered in their hometown or driven from their country.

Turkish UAV Strike Kills 21 Syrian Soldiers in Idlib Prior to Ceasefire

Turkish UAV strike(s) on Thursday destroyed Syrian Howitzers and rockets launchers and killed 21 soldiers in Idlib, Syria; The strike on Syrian soldiers came after two Turkish soldiers were killed on Thursday.

Hours after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan travelled to Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin on Thursday to discuss a ceasefire in the Idlib province (Syria), two Turkish soldiers were killed by Syrian government forces leading to a severe retaliation from the Turks.

In response, Turkey carried out a strike on the Syrians via an Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV), killing 21 Syrian soldiers and destroying two Howitzer tanks and several rocket launchers. It’s reported that the exchange of casualties came prior to the official ceasefire announcement between Russia & Turkey that was to commence at midnight.

Speaking to the nature of the ceasefire, Galip Dalay, the IPC-Mercator fellow at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs stated that “This deal isn’t designed to last, rather it is designed to fail – and I am afraid in the not too distant future. Any ceasefire arrangement in Idlib, unless it has a no-fly zone dimension, is bound to fail. Deals in the past never de-escalated. They merely froze the crisis until the next escalation.”

The ceasefire between Russia & Turkey comes after last week when both countries suffered military loss, most notably when over 30 Turkish soldiers were killed in a strike. While most reports indicate that Syria is responsible for that strike, others believe the Russians are to blame. Regardless, the Russians back the Assad regime while Turkey has been supporting the Syrian rebels throughout the Syrian civil war.

Idlib, the epicenter of recent conflict, is the last Syrian rebel stronghold.

ANOTHER Insanian IRGC Leader TAKES A DIRT NAP!!!

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force Commander Assassinated in Damascus

Quds Force Commander assassinated in southern Damascus on Friday; He was reportedly killed in close proximity to the IRGCC regional headquarters.

Islamic Revolutionary Guards Force (IRGC) Quds Force Commander Farhad Dvirian was killed on Friday in Damascus, Syria, according to reports. Dvirian is said to have been primarily responsible for overseeing the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq & Syria (ISIS) in the region but certainly had other responsibilities.

Dvirian is reported to have been killed near the regional headquarters of the IRGC in Sayida Zainab which is located in southern Damascus. He is also said to have been a close friend of Hassan Nasrallah, the leader for the Lebanon-based Iranian terror proxy, Hezbollah.

News of Dvirian’s death is another blow to the Quds Force, who lost their chief leader Qassem Soleimani in early January after the United States carried out a deadly airstrike via an unmanned air vehicle (UAV). Additionally, the IRGC lost another senior member in February when Asghar Pahsapour was killed in a fight with Syrian rebels.

Details surrounding how Dvirian was killed are unknown at this time.

[UPDATED] Three Casualties After Rocket Attack on Camp Taji in Iraq

Two US soldiers and one soldier from the UK died during a rocket attack at Camp Taji in Iraq on Wednesday; Multiple additional injuries reported; Approximately 15-18 mortars were used in the attack.

One US soldier and one US contractor alongside a soldier from the United Kingdom were killed on Wednesday during a mortar attack on Camp Taji that was carried out by Iranian-backed militia inside of Iraq. Reports indicate that approximately 15-20 mortars were fired from the militia.

A US official responded to the attack stating, “Three Coalition personnel were killed during a rocket attack on Camp Taji, Iraq, March 11. The names of the personnel are withheld pending next of kin notification, in accordance with national policies.” UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson also showed his disappointment with the news and added that “Our servicemen and women work tirelessly every day to uphold security and stability in the region—their presence makes us all safer.”

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned that there would be a response. Hours later, Syrian news media reported several airstrikes near al-Bukamal via an unidentified aircraft. Al-Bukamal is of great significance to Iran and is a key location for where they move their militia and weaponry. It’s located just west of the great Euphrates River.

*The Russian Ministry of Defense later revealed that the strikes carried out in al-Bukamal were done so by the Israeli Air Force, not the US.

An Unprecedented Number of Locusts Dominate Southern Iran in 2020

Reports from inside of Iran say that the number of locusts is seven-fold compared to that of 2019; The agricultural and economic ramifications are critical.

As of February, a vast number of locusts have infiltrated the southern region on Iran, creating serious agricultural and therefore economic issues for the already struggling country.

Making matters worse, there really isn’t anything that can be done to counteract the damage or slow down the effects of the locusts except for the use of pesticides.
Even then, another problem arises. Reze Mir, who is the spokesman of Plants Protection Organization, stated that “The density of locusts in the swarms is so high that a 10 to 15-centimeter layer of dead locusts forms on the ground after spraying pesticides.”

The head of the Agricultural Jihad Organization, Keykhosrow Changalvai, made a very revealing statement last week when he confirmed that in 2019, the swarms they were dealing with had a span of 1-1.5 kilometers while the swarms they’re experiencing in 2020 range from 7-10 kilometers. He would even emphasize that the dangerous effects of these locusts are just as alarming as the global pandemic of CoVid-19.

Alongside Iran, Africa has also been battling an array of locusts this year that are wreaking havoc on their crops.

Locusts & the Bible

When then Israelites were enslaved in Egypt, pending their exodus to the land God had promised them, several plagues were poured out on the land of the Egyptians as result of Pharaoh’s stubborn heart and refusal to let the people go. One of the plagues God poured out was locusts, and surprise, they did exactly what they’re doing today! They destroyed the crop of the land (Exodus 10)!

Interestingly enough, the Bible communicates to us that God will use a different breed of locusts in the future when he pours out his wrath, not on Egypt, but the entire unbelieving world (Revelation 9).

Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah Reported to Have Contracted CoVid-19

Hezbollah’s leader is reported to have contracted the coronavirus after meeting with a group of delegates from Iran.

On Tuesday, reports from Arab news outlets surfaced indicating that Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, has contracted CoVid-19. Hezbollah is the Lebanon-based Iranian proxy on the Mediterranean coast. Nasrallah is reported to have contracted the virus after meeting with a group of delegates from Iran.

Several individuals within the Iranian regime have contracted the virus. Some have even died from it, including Hossein Sheikholeslam, who was involved in the 1979 Iran hostage crisis. Most recently, the deputy health minister and vice president of women and family affairs were diagnosed with the virus.

Adding to this, reports indicate that Russian and Syrian soldiers are distancing themselves from Iranian militias in an attempt to safeguard their health in the midst of the Syrian civil war.

Iranian-backed Interests Targeted by US Strikes in Response to Attack on Camp Taji

The United States has responded to the Iranian-backed mortar strike earlier this week that killed two US personnel and a soldier from the UK and wounded several others.

US officials have confirmed that on Thursday, several retaliatory airstrikes were carried out on Iranian-backed militia inside of Iraq after a fatal mortar attack on Camp Taji earlier in the week that killed one US soldier, one US contractor, and a soldier from the UK. The US officials verified that several US aircraft were used to strike five different weapon storehouses in an attempt to prevent attacks in the future.

US Defense Secretary Mark Esper stated, “The United States will not tolerate attacks against our people, our interests, or our allies…As we have demonstrated in recent months, we will take any action necessary to protect our forces in Iraq and the region.” This follows suit with President Trump’s declaration at the recent State of the Union address where he vowed:

“If you threaten our people, you forfeit your life.”

Claiming that the primary target in these strikes was the weapons, a US official reported that they expect a lower number of casualties overall. Strikes were conducted in Al-Musayib, Arab Nawar Ahmad, Karbala, and Jurf al-Sakher; all in the region of Baghdad.

A statement from the Pentagon contained the warning that “These terror groups must cease their attacks on U.S. and coalition forces or face consequences at a time and place of our choosing.”

Satellite Images Reveal Mass Graves Being Prepared in Iran Amid CoVid-19 Death Toll

Newly released satellite images reveal that Iran has been preparing mass graves for the victims of the Coronavirus; The Iranian regime has been repeatedly accused of covering up the actual death toll from the virus; The reported number of deaths is well over 800 but is likely significantly higher.

Newly released satellite images of burial pits inside of Iran verify concerns that have been growing amid the outbreak of CoVoid-19 over the last couple of months. The burial pits that are being referred to are located in the Behesht-e Masoumeh cemetery in Qom, Iran, where the outbreak marked its initial victims.

While the current official number of deaths being reported out of Iran is over 850, the Iranian regime has been repeatedly accused of covering up the actual death toll in recent weeks after sources from within Iranian hospital(s) confirmed the number of deaths they were witnessing. In fact, shortly after denying these claims, Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi tested positive for the virus.

It’s worth noting that the Iranian regime has suffered quite a blow from the virus. It has taken the lives of several high-ranking officials with the regime and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Additionally, it is affecting countless Iranian and Iraqi militias that are fighting inside of Syria. Hundreds of militias are reported to have died so far.

Due to copyright laws, Behold Israel does not have permission to repost the photo(s) of the burial sites.

Alternative Title: Qum

Qom, also spelled Qum, city, capital of Qom province, north-central Iran. The city lies on both banks of the Rūd-e Qom and beside a salt desert, the Dasht-e Kavīr, 92 miles (147 km) south of Tehrān.

In the 8th century Qom was one of the centres of Shiʿi Islam. In 816 Fāṭimah, the sister of the eighth imam of the Twelver Shiʿah, ʿAlī al-Riḍā, died in the town and was buried there. It became a place of pilgrimage in the 17th century, when the Ṣafavid rulers built a golden-domed shrine over Fāṭimah’s tomb.

The modern city has the largest madrasah (theological college) in the country, where students can specialize in Islamic law, philosophy, theology, and logic. It was at Qom that the Iranian army surrendered to Islamic revolutionary militia in 1979. Following the Islamic Revolution in Iran early in 1979, the revolution’s principal figure, the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, again took up residence in Qom, whence he had been exiled by the shah, and made the town his seat.

Some 10 kings and 400 Islamic saints are interred in Qom and its neighbourhood. Shāh ʿAbbās II is buried there in a special mausoleum richly adorned with 14 fine silk rugs, dated 1666. On the southern side of the city is a group of five mausoleums (mostly 14th century) distinguished by remarkable polychrome stucco ornaments.

Qom has developed into a lively industrial centre owing in part to its proximity to Tehrān. It is a regional centre for the distribution of petroleum and petroleum products, and a natural gas pipeline from Bandar-e Anzalī and Tehrān and a crude-oil pipeline from Tehrān run through Qom to the Abadan refinery on the Persian Gulf. Qom gained additional prosperity when oil fields were discovered at Sarājeh near the city in 1956 and a large refinery was built between Qom and Tehrān. Rural populations migrated to the growing township, and its economic growth accelerated with new investments in the textile industry and the establishment of petrochemical, cement, and brick-making industries. In the 1970s several dams were completed on the upper reaches of the Rūd-e Qom.

The city has road connections to Tehrān, Arāk, Kāshān, Sāveh, and Yazd and is on the Trans-Iranian Railway. There are many Muslim shrines in the area. Kebar, 15 miles (24 km) south of Qom, is the site of an ancient vaulted dam. Wheat, barley, oilseeds, vegetables, fruits, and cotton are grown in the surrounding area. Pop. (2016) 1,201,158.

How COVID-19 is Impacting Iran and the Islamic State

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is telling its militants to refrain from Europe for the time being; Iran can’t seem to slow down the virus; How the virus is impacting the agenda of both regimes.

Iran

While the virus known as COVID-19 continues to essentially put most of the globe on temporary lockdown, it’s also significantly hindering the regimes of both the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Iran can’t seem to slow down the spread of the virus and ISIS is hesitant to act for fear of it entering and spreading through their ranks.

Since the virus struck the city of Qom, Iran, and spread rapidly from there, Iran hasn’t been transparent regarding the actual numbers of infections and fatalities (much like China). As of yesterday, Iran reported the number of fatalities from the virus to be close to 1,000, but the number is actually much higher. Bear in mind the massive graves Iran is preparing in Qom in addition to sources inside of the hospital(s) who claim that the death rate is much higher than what’s being reported.

With those of higher age being at a far greater risk to this virus, Iran is facing more problems because of the ages of many within the regime. Several high-ranking officials have fallen ill and some have died, including leaders within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Earlier this week, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei went into a full quarantine after being exposed to someone who has the virus.

Not only is the virus creating internal problems for the regime, but it’s also slowing down its mission to surround the Jewish State and acquire nuclear weaponry. Israeli officials believe and have reported that this virus, if nothing else, is putting a temporary pause on the activity of the world’s number one sponsor of terror.

Sadly, according to Iranian leaders, even if Israel were to create a vaccine and/or a cure for the virus in the coming weeks, they wouldn’t purchase it from Israel because their hate for the Jewish State is far greater than their concern for their own people. They said they would wait until they could buy it third party or on the open market (because that somehow doesn’t support Israel…).

ISIS

The Islamic State is at a crossroads because they’re determined to do what is necessary to advance their agenda but they know they’re putting the entire evil movement at risk if they act in a careless manner while this virus rips through the Middle East and Europe.

ISIS leadership has told their militants to avoid any activity in Europe due to the current outbreak of the virus in that portion of the world. It also indicates that some of their militants may already be infected inside of Europe. Due to their lack of communication and transparency with the outside world, there are no exact statistics regarding how the virus has affected ISIS thus far.

In a recent ISIS newsletter, the writer referred to Europe as ‘the land of the epidemic’ and described the virus as a weapon being used by Allah to kill whoever he wants. He called the virus a “torment sent by god on whomsoever he wills…Illnesses do not strike by themselves but by the command and decree of god.”

An Iranian leader recently made similar claims regarding the virus and how it will kill whoever God sees fit to die.

He died this week.

European Union Likely to Implement 30-Day Travel Ban in Attempt to Reduce the Spread of COVID-19

French President Emmanuel Macron announces a 30-day suspension on travel to the European Union (EU) in an attempt to combat the spread of COVID-19; Their hope is that this will relieve the stress on the EU healthcare system and slow down the virus.

Though the proposal is technically waiting for its final approval, the European Union (EU) is poised to close their borders for 30 days in an attempt to combat the spread of COVID-19. G-7 leaders met on a conference call on Monday where EU President Ursula von der Leyen made the proposal. This is a critical move for the EU that is likely coming too late as the epicenter of the virus is now located in Europe rather than in Asia.

President von der Leyen made it clear that another goal of this move is to reduce the stress being put on the EU healthcare system right now, something that could have been prevented had they taken earlier precautions. Not only is the EU dealing with an outbreak of the virus and stress on the healthcare system, but Turkey is now allowing the flow of approximately 140,000 Syrian refugees into Europe amid the Syrian civil war.

French President Emmanuel Macron stated, “All travel between non-EU countries and the European Union will be suspended for 30 days.” Note that this travel ban prevents people from outside of the EU to enter. France is dealing with a host of issues themselves regarding the virus, which has forced the country into a near lockdown.

I believe I heard years ago that the song came about during one of the plagues.

I heard the people would hold posies ( flowers) under their noses because of the stench of all the dead bodies claimed by the plagues. The line" ashes to ashes we all fall down" referred to death.
