Al-Kalabi advises the Prime Minister: Corruption is a war, but it can not be left to others
(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) Member of the Committee on Parliamentary Integrity Youssef Al-Kalabi, the prime minister's advice on fighting corruption.
"On March 9, 2019, the Prime Minister was hosted in the House of Representatives in a special session to provide support and full support to him in order to fight corruption seriously and real," Al-Kalabi said in a statement.
"I was told how to fight corruption by the Integrity Commission or the Financial Control Bureau and they run it by proxy," he recalled. "They sent their names and the council is ready to vote on them and now if I want to."
"The prime minister [the head of the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption] also calls himself a promise that within a week or two and a maximum of 45 days will be done if he could not finish the deadline on June 30," he said.
He pointed out that "the problem is that the head of the Integrity Commission God gave him an accident and here was the shock the Prime Minister commissioned the head of the Office of Financial Supervision to head the agency acting as a president on Monday."
Al-Kalabi asked, "Where did you promise, Prime Minister ?, Where is Ayna?" He pointed out that "I will advise you to God these days to advise you that you hear; corruption is a war that needs all elements of war and is easy and in front of your eyes if you can not leave it to others" .
Al-Kalabi concluded by saying: "What hit the gambling halls and drug dealers is only evidence that the task is easy, but you need to depend on God, the people, the sincere intention and the true determination, so trust in God because history is ruthless."

On 22/2019, the Iraqi Council of Representatives voted to adopt the Electoral System 1.9 by the St Lego system in the upcoming local elections scheduled for the spring of 2020.

Saint-Lego is a method invented in 1912 by French mathematician André Saint-Lego. The aim of this formula is to distribute the votes on the electoral seats in the multi-seat constituencies and reduce the resulting defects between the asymmetry of votes and the number of seats obtained. Large parties at the expense of small blocs, and the St. Lego modified is a modified image intended to distribute seats in a more equitable manner.

This formula was used for the first time in the Iraqi parliamentary elections in 2014 and through this formula the distribution of parliamentary seats in Iraq, as well as the provincial elections for the same session, and the results that the small lists got seats in the Iraqi parliament and provincial councils, and generated chaos and division in the blocks And political coalitions, because of fluctuating positions of these small blocs, and change their views depending on their political interests.

At that time, the Electoral Dimension 1.6 was adopted. One of its drawbacks was that it showed a lot of electoral lists, which were endless, and the spread of massive electoral propaganda.

Public-Private Partnerships

REVIEWED BY WILL KENTON

 Updated Mar 28, 2019

What Are Public-Private Partnerships?

Public-private partnerships involve collaboration between a government agency and a private-sector company that can be used to finance, build, and operate projects, such as public transportation networks, parks, and convention centers. Financing a project through a public-private partnership can allow a project to be completed sooner or make it a possibility in the first place.

This is an awesome move toward decentralization and a move toward privitization and free markets.
