"A number of political blocs demanded Adel Abdul Mahdi to postpone the meeting to next Thursday, in order to discuss the curricula vitae of the candidates and agree on them," Awad al-Awadi said in an interview. 
He added that "the Prime Minister insisted on holding the meeting today and vote on the candidates, in respect of constitutional terms." 
It is noteworthy that the political blocs held a meeting with Abdul Mahdi in the office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hassan al-Kaabi. 
Abdulmahdi handed over the curricula vitae of the eight remaining ministers in his cabinet to the Presidency of the House of Representatives.

Parliament speaker Khadija Ali confirmed on Tuesday that there are no signs of holding a meeting today by the House of Representatives, while noting that most of the deputies sit in the cafeteria. 

"The parliamentary session was supposed to take place at 12 noon today, but the lack of a quorum prevented this," Ali told Al-Ghad Press. "Most members of the House of Representatives are in the cafeteria and refuse to enter the meeting hall."

She explained that "the current political scenario is the refusal of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan to attend because they demand the Ministry of Justice and consider them of their share," indicating that "the Christian deputies reject the minister imposed on them by the President of the Council of Adel Abdul Mahdi, Hana Omanuil, which they consider not the candidate of the component, Not to attend the Turkmen component to the meeting because of depriving them of the ministerial cabin. " 

She pointed out that "there is also a rejection of the national axis will not be allowed to pass the ministerial cabin of the Ministry of Defense if the candidate Faisal Jarba, as well as the refusal of others to Faleh Fayadh to the Ministry of Interior." 

It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives postponed, earlier in the day, held its meeting for half an hour and the completion of the quorum.
