Iranian official calls for negotiations with Washington in Iraq

Although  Donald Trump  pledged to tear  the nuclear deal  with Iran  if he came to power in the White House , the international political conditions and the multiplicity of decision-making in  Washington  forced him to delay the implementation of his decision and change tactics in the game, instead of tearing apart the agreement - Is trying today to push Iran out of it.

It can be said that the game of tension and relaxation in the decision of Trump on support for Iran's commitment to the nuclear agreement, playing the nerve of  the international community in  general and Iran in particular; today is a strategy to prevent the collapse of the nuclear agreement, and practical shredded without being torn.

In contrast, the Iranians - armed with experienced diplomats such as Foreign Minister Mohammed  Jawad Zarif - read the steps of US policy more clearly than even Trump himself, who did not work in politics before winning the presidency.

Escalation and calm

Many foreign diplomats in Tehran wonder  why Iranian officials have been so cool about the  sharp verbal attacks on them by Trump. The answer is that Iranian politicians see these acts of sedition as displeasing to the international community, and therefore they do not need to confront them in the same way What they consider Iran's oppressors in the world.

"Many foreign diplomats in Tehran wonder why Iranian officials have been so cool about the harsh verbal attacks on them by Trump. The answer is that Iranian politicians see these acts of sedition as disliked by the international community, and therefore they do not need to confront them as it makes it easier for them to show what They regard it as an oppressor of Iran in the world "

Perhaps the best example of this was Trump's stern speech at  the United Nations General  Assembly , where North Korea threatened to  annihilate its people and wipe it out, and then threatened Iran and several member states of the organization.

Trump did not Aa then that the goal of the United Nations to establish is to promote international security and peace, and that world leaders must come to its forums to talk about their plans to contribute to the promotion of it, not to threaten the destruction of other countries, and even the Iranians -alven officials believe in the need to erase  Israel  from Have not once threatened to destroy Israel directly from the UN platform.

After this speech, Iranian President  Hassan Rowhani found  himself in an unenviable position . He had to change some paragraphs of his speech at the United Nations to be more moderate, because he found Trump very easy.

In fact, it is no secret that the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the "5 + 1" group were negotiations between Iran and the United States attended by five other countries as witnesses and signed by the United Nations as a guarantor, because the dispute was practically between Tehran and Washington, and US sanctions were blocking any deal Economist with Iran. Therefore, it can be said that America's exit from the nuclear agreement in any way means the end of this agreement.

It can be said that the bulk of what Iran may be obtained from the agreement is to break the international isolation that was imposed before signing , and an end to the international consensus on sanctions over its nuclear program. Even if the rest of the 5 + 1 countries continue to abide by this agreement, the companies, banks and businesses of these countries would prefer to boycott Iran for fear of US sanctions.

In these circumstances, Iran has one way to deal with economic institutions that do not deal with the  United States , opening up banking lines to deal with local currencies with other countries, and this is probably the most possible nuclear agreement to achieve for Iran.top-page.gif

Tehran options

practically today there  are two options for Iran are only two: either follow in the footsteps of North Korea or continue to adhere to the nuclear deal . It seems that the Rouhani government has decided to proceed in the second way, in the hope that the conditions will change, but there is a very strong Iranian trend that believes that moving on this path is futile and that Iran must impose the status quo on the Americans because they only understand the language of force.

Washington's exit from the nuclear agreement - or its suspension in any way - would strengthen the hard line in Iran, which has always advocated that there is no point in negotiating with America because it does not honor its commitments. This trend is betting that international conditions and economic conditions of America do not allow it to enter into a war with Iran, considering that the escalation of US military threats whirlwind in a cup.

"Washington's exit from the nuclear agreement - or its suspension in any way - would strengthen the hard line in Iran, which has always advocated that there is no point in negotiating with America because it does not honor its commitments. This trend is betting that international conditions and economic conditions of America do not allow it to enter into a war with Iran "

They adopt them in their position on the Iranian presence in  Syria , Iraq  , Lebanon  and Afghanistan , and say that the security and American military hardware well aware that the entry of their country in any war with Iran is not as easy as imagined by Trump, and that Iran will inspire the entire region with its missiles and its allies, and then become Washington 's allies dropped , especially Israel  Saudi Arabia - and US forces in the region are targets for Iranian retaliation for any US attack.

They rely not only on Iranian ballistic missiles, but on tens of thousands of short- and medium-range missiles that are difficult to deter, and are deployed throughout the region.

Iran's ballistic missile tests or defiance of the US naval movement are a challenge and an irritant to the Americans because, according to the "spirit of nuclear agreement" - as the Americans call it - the US administration promised the Iranians to halt all   US economic sanctions against Iran,  Congress , and stop any pressure on companies and financial institutions cooperating with Iran.

Provided that Tehran - in return - in cooperation with Washington to resolve controversial issues between them in the region, and stop the escalation through ballistic missile tests or threaten US forces in the region.

The reason for not including the terms of the "spirit of nuclear agreement" in the text of the agreement is that the US negotiating delegation claimed that its government can not lift sanctions imposed by Congress, and can only suspend the implementation of these sanctions. On the other hand, the Iranian delegation gave only verbal promises, considering that the negotiations were held to resolve the nuclear dispute only, and that other matters should not be discussed because that would impede reaching agreement.top-page.gif

Controversial commitment

has not dried ink signature on the nuclear deal; even the United States has imposed sanctions on people who want to travel to Iran, which limited the possibility of travel of a large number of officials of the European companies to hold trade agreements with Iran, and continued pressure on companies andinternational banks to discourage them from dealing With Iran  in  US dollars .

Washington also continued to demand that international companies obtain US Treasury approval before any deal with Iran or impose financial sanctions. Thus, the majority of the trade agreements signed between Iran and other countries - particularly the European ones - have practically remained a dead letter.

"The Iranians know very well that Trump will refuse to recognize Iran's commitment to the nuclear agreement sooner or later, to throw the ball in the courtroom of the US Congress or to come out of the nuclear agreement altogether, and know very well that it is no trick to them to push the Americans out or block this agreement,

As the United States affirms its commitment to the text of the nuclear agreement, the Iranians also confirm their commitment to it only, but the problem is that the Rouhani government says it has carried out most of its obligations and has done so even before the dates set out in this agreement to reflect its goodwill.

Tehran accuses the American side of failing to implement most of the items even after the scheduled date, and even the Congress issued sanctions covering the US commitments to the nuclear agreement, which is a clear violation of the agreement, it can be said that the Americans practically do not implement the agreement.

The Iranians know very well that Trump will refuse to recognize Iran's commitment to the nuclear agreement sooner or later , throw the ball in the courtroom of the US Congress or get out of the nuclear deal altogether, and know very well that it is no trick for them to push the Americans to get out or block this agreement that they do not actually implement.

This could make it possible for the Iranians to re-establish their nuclear program or raise their threats to develop their former program so that the West will not back down from exerting pressure on Iran.

The Iranians are betting that the Republicans will lose the upcoming congressional elections because of their actions. The latter will not be able to reach the White House in a second term because of its low popularity. It is better for them to continue implementing the nuclear agreement with a new Congress and a new president. That moment.

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday slammed the deal between the superpowers and Iran over its nuclear program as a "very bad deal" a few days before his decision on whether or not his administration would continue to respect the pact.

"This is the worst agreement ever," Trump told Fox News.

On North Korea, the US president said he was thinking of North Korea when he described a meeting of military leaders last week as a "pre-storm calm."

In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, Trump was asked what he meant by that ambiguous phrase, which raised fears that the United States and North Korea would approach the war.

"We can not allow this to continue," Trump said in response to the question. We can not do that, 'adding that China has helped the situation well. And he said '

Trump made the statement 'Pre-storm calm' during taking pictures before dinner with US military commanders and their wives on Oct. 5. The dinner came after a meeting in which Trump and the military leaders discussed issues of Iran, North Korea and Afghanistan, and the fight against a sympathetic organization.

White House: Trump administration intends to change Tehran's behavior

Twilight News

The US White House said Friday that Iran's "reckless" behavior was one of the most serious threats to US interests and that the administration of US President Donald Trump was planning to change Tehran's behavior.

On Friday, Bush is expected to deliver a speech announcing a new strategy for dealing with Iran.

"The reckless behavior of the Iranian regime, in particular the Revolutionary Guard, is the most serious threat to US interests and regional stability," the document explains the White House's position on Iran: "The Iranian regime has used regional conflicts and instability to expand its regional aggressive influence and threaten its neighbors."

"The new US strategy on Iran focuses on neutralizing the destabilizing impact of the Iranian government and putting an end to its aggression, especially its support for terrorism and insurgents," he said. "We are strengthening our traditional alliances and regional partnership as a point of reference against disruptive Iranian activities.

The White House said, "This happened recently after the emergence of" a dodge "of the vacuum created by the departure of the Obama administration is more cautious than the region.

"The full spectrum of the Iranian regime's aggressive actions goes far beyond the nuclear threat posed by it," including the development of ballistic missiles, material and financial support for terrorism and extremism, support for the Assad regime's brutality against the Syrian people and hostility to Israel, Especially the important strategic Persian Gulf, and cyber attacks against the United States, Israel and other US allies and partners in the Middle East, the flagrant violation of human rights, as well as the arbitrary detention of foreigners, including citizens of the United States. Trump declares his position on the nuclear deal with Iran

Khandan -

US President Donald Trump on Friday announced his decision on a nuclear deal with Iran, either by ratifying Tehran's commitment to the deal or withdrawing it, leaving the fate of the agreement to Congress.

Trump has repeatedly criticized the nuclear deal and said he would work to cancel it because Iran in his view violated the "spirit" of the agreement.

Under US law, the president must report to Congress every 90 days whether Iran respects the agreement "fully and transparently" and whether its text remains in line with the US national interest.

Since his arrival in the presidency, Trump has twice admitted that Tehran respects the deal signed in July 2015 between Iran on the one hand and the United States, China, Russia, France, Britain and Germany on the other.

If the US president decided on Friday to "withdraw the recognition" of the nuclear deal, Congress would have 60 days to decide whether to keep sanctions lifted or re-imposed on Tehran, which could mean the end of the nuclear deal.

The agreement with Iran, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan, came into effect in January 2016. It lifted the international sanctions imposed on Iran over its nuclear file.

Trump is widely expected to announce that the agreement does not match the national interest of Washington, AFP reported.

Good Morning, Yota, and Thank You for bringing this and all the other articles You tirelessly bring over!

So, OK, I pointed out an article last night that mentioned Colin Powell as the Secretary Of State who served during Bush Jr.'s Presidential term.

Now, this article mentions Bush that could be Bush Jr. The article does start out mentioning US President Donald Trump.

I'm kinda getting the impression this is all previously scripted and the news releases haven't been updated entirely with the current cast of characters before release.

Maybe just me.

Rohani: Trump's speech full of youth and we will abide by the nuclear agreement (expanded)
(AFP) - Iranian President Hassan Rowhani said Friday that US President Donald Trump's speech was full of rootless accusations and accusations against the Iranian nation.

Rohani said in a televised address in response to Trump's claims: Trump does not seem to realize that he can not cancel international agreements. He does not seem to know that the nuclear agreement document is not a bilateral agreement.
"Trump does not seem to know that his country supplied the Saddam regime with missiles to use against the Iranian people. Trump does not know that the United States led a military coup to topple the Islamic revolution. Trump does not know that his country participated in the military coup and brought the shah back to power and overthrew the legitimate government, .
he continued: The US president forgot that his government supported the bombing of bombs and chemical weapons against the Kurds in Iraq.
The president said Rowhani: I call on Trump to read history and study of international conventions and literature.
He pointed out that the only country that used the nuclear bomb and provided the Israeli entity with nuclear weapons is the United States and is not qualified to stop nuclear proliferation.
In Trump's speech, he said, there were only a series of insults and accusations and he had launched many lies and fabrications against the Iranian people.
He said that what President Trump had said proved that the nuclear agreement had become more firmly established and that America was more alone in its position than at any other time.
"We will abide by the agreement as long as it guarantees our interests and we will continue our cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the framework of our national interests. What we have heard today from Trump is only a repetition of what we have heard from American officials for 40 years," Rohani said.
The Iranian president said that the Iranian people would stand against any plot against him and that he would continue the path of economic prosperity in the context of the confirmation of the leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on the resistance economy.
"We will respect the nuclear agreement and continue our efforts to increase our military capabilities," Rowhani said. "You express your concern about the Iranian missiles while receiving missiles and bombs at the Yemeni people.
"The Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Iraqi, Syrian and Yemeni people will continue to fight terrorism and terrorists," he said. "The Iranian people support all the strength of the IRGC and you can not find a gap between the Iranian government and the people who will not bow to American arrogance."

The major powers declare their commitment to the nuclear agreement

After Trump's threats, Rouhani promised a strong response

Washington / Agencies

US President Donald Trump, who threatened to scrap the nuclear deal with Iran, said in a joint statement that Russia and the United Nations Secretary-General were opposed to the US president's statements.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macaron and British Prime Minister Theresa May said in a joint statement: "Maintaining a comprehensive joint action plan falls within the scope of our national security interests." The nuclear deal (with Iran) was the culmination of 13 years of diplomacy, "We therefore encourage the US administration and Congress to consider the consequences for the security of the United States and allies before taking any steps that might undermine the overall joint action plan, such as imposing sanctions on Iran, T Filed under this Agreement. »
For his part, the Elysee Palace announced that French President Emmanuel Macaron is considering going to Iran at the invitation of Iranian President Hassan Rowhani. Had the visit been made, it would be the first visit by a French head of state or government to Iran since 1971. The Elysee said that Macaron spoke with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rowhani and assured him of France's commitment to implement the agreement on Tehran's nuclear program.
For its part, Russia said after Trump's position not to ratify Iran's nuclear agreement: "International diplomacy has no place for hostile statements and such methods are doomed to failure," adding that "Russia is still committed (to the nuclear agreement) and will continue to implement its obligations under the agreement. We call on all parties to do so. "
The British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, stressed that Britain will seek with its allies to maintain the nuclear agreement through joint cooperation.
 International agreement
IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano also stressed Iran's commitment to all its obligations in the nuclear deal.
Amano said: "The commitments related to the nuclear issue of Iran under the comprehensive joint action plan is implemented," noting that Tehran is subject to the most comprehensive nuclear verification system in the world. "For its part, European Union Foreign Minister Federica Mugrini said that the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program, "We can not allow ourselves as an international community, and certainly Europe, to dismantle an agreement that works and pays off," she said. "Trump has no authority to put an end to this agreement at any time," he said. American agreement Day in the hands of Congress.
"This agreement is not a bilateral agreement. No country in the world can unilaterally abolish a UN Security Council resolution adopted unanimously."
The US president said in a speech from the White House that he would not recognize the international nuclear agreement with Iran, stressing that if no agreement is reached with Congress or America's allies, it may eventually withdraw from the agreement.
The Iranian response was soon expressed by President Hassan Rowhani, who pointed out that if the nuclear agreement does not achieve our interests, we will respond strongly, and no item or any other comment can be added to it.
UN
Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his hope that Iran's nuclear deal would be maintained after US President Donald Trump refused to ratify Tehran's commitment to it.
"The Secretary-General has repeatedly pointed out that the conclusion of the Iran nuclear agreement was an important achievement in consolidating the nuclear non-proliferation regime and enhancing global security and stability," Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric said in a statement.
"He (Guterich) is pinning high hopes on maintaining this agreement," he said. Trump Crisis Former US Secretary of State John Kerry said President Trump, by deciding on a nuclear deal with Iran, was creating an international crisis and jeopardizing national security interests and the interests of Washington's allies. It is known that Kerry participated in the work of the international deal on the Iranian nuclear file. In a tweet on Twitter, Kerry described the decision as "the reckless abandonment of facts by the president, in favor of vanity, egoism and ideology." As described.

The former minister said he did not understand why the current US president refused to admit that Tehran was committed to the nuclear deal, while the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), US allies, and members of the Trump administration insisted it was, "but for whatever reason, Is that the president and by violating the stability of the agreement, will weaken our position, and will remove us from the allies, and will strengthen the position of the Iranian conservatives, and will further complicate the solution of the crisis with North Korea also, and makes us approach the military conflict. In his turn, US Senator Bob Crocker said that President Trump, with his sharp statements about North Korea and his rejection of Iran's nuclear deal, "publicly" appoints his secretary of state to undermine his diplomatic efforts.
In such an interview with the Washington Post, the senator said such actions by the head of state were leading the country into a dangerous choice: either to plunge into the war, or to see Pyongyang and Tehran able to threaten America with a nuclear weapon.
Crocker, who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, noted Tillerson's successes in developing diplomatic relations with Beijing.
"The biggest diplomatic activity we have is with China, and these relations are the most important," he said. "These relations have made remarkable progress. Some of what has been achieved can be described as enormous."
"This is a way to launch dialogue," the senator said, adding that Congress could maintain the nuclear deal and establish more negotiations with allies and Tehran, which would be difficult given the opposition of the Democrats and European leaders to Trump's demands.
The Iranian response
Meanwhile, Iranian President Hassan Rowhani said in a phone call from his French counterpart Emmanuel Macaron that he refused to renegotiate the nuclear deal, noting that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is the only authority in determining whether Iran is committed to the nuclear agreement or not.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasimi said that Trump and his policies are pushing America out of the international community.
He noted the reaction of European foreign policy chief Federica Mugrini, who said that the quick response to Mugrabi on Trump's claims proves that the international community, Europe and other world actors can not justify Trump's policies and that if he does not reform his policies, he must wait a day in which America will live in complete isolation
.
Iran's Majlis speaker Ali Larijani called on the UN Security Council to discuss the United States' failure to comply with international agreements and to denounce them by the countries of the world, pointing out that if no action is taken to limit the unilateralism of the United States, it will cause serious problems as it withdrew from the Paris Treaty And the UNESCO «which is causing chaos» as he put it.

Iran is an alternative budget in case of failure of the nuclear agreement

Mawazine News - Follow up

Mohammad Baqir Nobkhat, head of Iran's Planning and Budget Organization, said that the organization would present an alternative budget plan in the event of a US withdrawal from the nuclear deal.

In an interview with the local Fars news agency, a member of the Islamic Shura Council, Hojjat al-Islam, an Azadekh, revealed that Nubakht had submitted a report on the draft budget for the next fiscal year (beginning 20 March 2018) during a closed session of the Council.

MP Azhakahoah quoted Nobkhet as confirming that there would be an alternative budget project if America disengages from the nuclear agreement, to neutralize the drafting of the budget from any obstacles and to protect it from shock in the event of a possible US withdrawal from the agreement.

He also explained the problems facing the preparation of the budget such as low oil prices and limited resources.

US Treasury Chief's Trip to Region Aims to Up Pressure on Iran

Alawmaker said the planned visit of the US treasury secretary to the region is aimed at forming a regional front against Tehran to create further snags for hindering Iran's economic activities.

"Challenging the economic capabilities of Iran is one of the goals of the US secretary's trip to the region," lawmaker Mohammad Javad Abtahi told ICANA on Monday.

US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will embark on a four-leg tour to the Middle East on Wednesday. He will meet top officials from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Israel during the trip.

In a statement on Friday, Mnuchin said he "will engage partners in the Middle East on the Trump administration's new strategy toward countering the [alleged] destabilizing influence of Iran in the region."
Abtahi described the trip as yet another push by the hostile US President Donald Trump's administration to throw a wrench in the works to impede the 2015 Iran nuclear deal by spurring the regional countries to stand up against the agreement.

"The US tries to have the support of regional countries at a time it wants to add more restrictions on JCPOA and calls for the Iranian military sites to be inspected," he said, adding that the hostile policies reveal the animosity of the US toward the Iranian nation.

JCPOA stands for the official name of the agreement, Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

The Saudi visit is set to witness Mnuchin commemorating the Terrorist Financing Target Center partnership's inauguration.

TFTC is a memorandum of understanding signed between the US—during the maiden foreign trip by Trump—on one side and the Persian Gulf Arab states on the other. Its objectives are purportedly to identify, track and share information regarding terrorist financing.

Mnuchin's trip comes against the backdrop of a US drive to designate Iranian Revolution Guards Corps as a terrorist organization. This is while the group has been instrumental in fighting back the self-styled Islamic State terrorist group in Iraq and Syria.

The inclusion of Saudi Arabia in a group to counter terrorism has been derided by many observers.

The oil kingdom has been the main source of moral and spiritual support for the IS extremists, while there have been many reports suggesting that the group has received financial support from Riyadh.

A former imam at the Grand Mosque in Mecca has said the IS group follows the same distorted brand of Islam as officially preached by Saudi Arabia, Middle East Eye reported. By pushing to impose more economic constraints on Iran, the US tries to aggravate problems such as unemployment and high inflation in Iran, Abtahi said, adding that such plans are doomed to fail.

"The unity of the Iranian people will become stronger in the face of US hostile measures," he concluded.

When was Lebanon's interest a priority for Hezbollah?

BEIRUT (Reuters) - Lebanon's Hezbollah guerrillas on Thursday condemned a package of sanctions passed by the US House of Representatives on Wednesday against individuals and governments that provide financial and military support to the party.

"The financial sanctions law is a blatant interference in internal affairs and a violation of national sovereignty and an unacceptable targeting of the Lebanese people," the party's parliamentary bloc said in a statement.

She added that "the US administration deliberately impose the guardianship of States and peoples through legislation that exceeds the limits of authority and trying to dictate to States."

"The aim of this aggressive behavior is to impose Lebanon on Lebanon, to provoke unrest and to deprive its people of development and development and to keep the sword of threat on its present and future."

On Wednesday, the US House of Representatives unanimously approved a new package of sanctions targeting people and governments that provide financial and military support for the organization of Hezbollah.

The sanctions package includes three projects of different laws, paving the way for individuals and governments providing financial or military support to Hezbollah to enter the US sanctions list.

While the second condemned the use of the party, civilians as human shields in some areas.

The third project called on the European Union to consider Hezbollah a terrorist organization.

The European Union, the military arm of Hezbollah, is a terrorist organization but not its political arm, which is part of the Lebanese government.

The United States listed Hezbollah as a foreign terrorist organization in 1997. This month, Washington offered a multi-million dollar reward to help capture two Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas while the Trump administration is formulating a strategy to counter Iran's growing influence in the region.

Since 2013, Hezbollah has been openly involved in the war in Syria in support of the regime's forces, along with Iranian, Iraqi and other fighters from Afghanistan and Pakistan, whom Iran has brought to Syria.

Iran Paving Way to Abandon Nuclear Deal, Fortify Missile Program

Iran has taken steps in recent days to file what it claims are 18 instances in which America violated the landmark nuclear agreement, a move that could set the stage for Tehran to abandon the deal and lay blame on the Trump administration, according to regional reports and sources familiar with the matter.

On the heels of an effort by the Trump administration to tighten the nuclear accord while still upholding U.S. commitments under it, the Iranian Foreign Ministry has submitted to European Union leaders a plethora of information recounting what it claims are 18 separate violations of the deal by the United States, according to Iran's state-controlled media.

The latest move is said to be part of an effort by Iran to abandon the nuclear agreement and save face by blaming the United States for its decision, according to national security insiders closely tracking the situation.

As the Trump administration makes moves to sanction Iran for its ballistic missile program and regional support of terrorism, Iran is increasingly frustrated with the United States' aggressive stance, which is being spearheaded by President Donald Trump and his congressional allies.

Iran's foreign ministry submitted a report to the country's Parliament outlining what it claims are at least 18 instances of the United States violating the agreement. The accusations come just days after Trump decertified Iranian compliance with the nuclear deal.

"The recent report is specifically about the Americans' efforts to derail the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action], so much so that the foreign ministry has delineated 18 blatant cases of breach of the agreement made by U.S.," Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh, an Iranian member of parliament, told the country's state-controlled media organs on Tuesday.

Iran's foreign ministry is said to have forwarded this information to Federica Mogherini, the EU's high representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, one of the international organizations monitoring compliance with the agreement.

"The foreign ministry has forwarded ten letters to Ms. Mogherini in this regard, and the base of the report is on the continuation of sanction-era situation in areas of maritime transportation, oil and gas export, and the return of the revenues," according to Falahatpisheh.

While the Trump administration has withheld from commenting on Iran's increasingly aggressive rhetoric, officials told the Washington Free Beacon that the United States continues to uphold its commitments under the deal and will continue to do so.

"I'm not going to comment on every statement by an Iranian official," a State Department official told the Free Beacon after reviewing Iran's accusations.  "The United States continues to meet its commitments under the JCPOA and will hold Iran strictly accountable for its commitments."

One veteran congressional adviser who has helped craft Iran policy during the last two administrations told the Free Beacon the Islamic Republic's latest moves are meant to distract from its widespread cheating on the nuclear accord.

"Iran was never going to stay in the deal the full time," the source said. "They were going to cheat as much as they could, pocket as much as they could, and then bail as soon as anyone tried to enforce the deal."

As the Trump administration works to tighten the deal and hold Iran accountable for its continued nuclear endeavors, Tehran may see an opportunity to abandon the deal before its clandestine activities are exposed.

"Now they see the Trump administration is working to fix the verification loopholes in the agreement, so they know the clock is ticking on how much longer they can cheat with impunity," the source said. "So of course they're already making up excuses to leave and fabricating U.S. violations."

The Trump administration's efforts to hold Iran accountable for its repeated violations of the deal, as well as its support for regional terrorism, has sparked outrage among Iranian leaders, who have lashed out at the U.S. president in vitriolic terms and vowed that Iran will continue its massive military buildup.

"We have previously declared, and once again we declare that the defense capabilities of the country are non-negotiable and not to be bargained for," Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday.

Khamenei promised to continue building Iran's ballistic missile program, which has been an ongoing source of international tension.

"That they ask, why we have some defense facility, why we produce them, or why do we conduct research; these matters are non-negotiable!" Khamenei was quoted as saying. "We won't negotiate with the enemy on matters that provide us with our national sovereignty."

Baghdad / Sky Press

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran's president rejected a US request for a telephone call with his US counterpart Donald Trump on September 19, hours after a speech at the United Nations that attacked Tehran and its policies, a US newspaper said on Saturday.

The Washington Post quoted US and other unnamed officials as saying that the US administration and Foreign Secretary Rex Tillerson had requested mediation from French President Emmanuel Macaron for the call, rejected by Rohani.

"The Iranians responded to the request with a firm rejection," the newspaper said in its report, "Arab21," quoting a "senior official" in the Trump administration. "The Iranians do not trust your seriousness. They see this as a kind of deception. "He said.

The newspaper said that before the request, Trump had already proposed the idea of centralizing France between the two countries during a bilateral meeting with the French president, just one night before the Trump speech at the United Nations.

According to a senior administration official, Trump told Macaron "you have good relations with Iran." "Can you use your relations to see if Tehran is ready to see if the Americans want to talk to them?"

President Trump announced last month a new strategy for dealing with Tehran, in which he said he would withdraw his acceptance of Iran's commitment to the nuclear agreement signed with major powers including the United States and Russia in 2015.

Trump extends US sanctions against Iran another year

07-11-2017 01:14 PM

The Euphrates -

US President Donald Trump has decided to extend sanctions against Iran in 1979 for another year.

The White House announced that relations between the United States and Iran were not 'printed', and Trump decided on that basis 'to extend the emergency regime, which was announced in accordance with Executive Order 12170 on Iran'.

It is noteworthy that Islamic students calling themselves the 'students of Khomeini' (Leader of the Islamic Revolution), stormed the US embassy in Tehran on the fourth of November 1979, under the pretext that the US diplomatic mission is a 'nest spy and conspiracies against Iran'.

Khomeini's students took the guards' arms and detained about 90 people. This has led to the United States severing its diplomatic relations with Iran, and has not resumed to this day.

Baghdad News -

US State Department spokeswoman Heather Naewert said the United States was trying to keep Iranian influence away from Iraq, noting that Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi had taken steps in that direction.

"America is seeking to lift the Iranian hand on Iraq, and the good relations between Baghdad and Riyadh are proof that these steps are going well," Nawiret told a news conference.

"The war against an oppressive organization is still ongoing, and there is a need to start rebuilding Iraq," she said.

"We have common interests with both Saudi Arabia and Iraq, especially with regard to fighting an organization that preaches and distances the influence of the mullahs' regime from Iraq and prevents its expansion and stability in Syria, Iraq and throughout the region," she said.
