Arabic.Net - Ramadan Al Saadi

According to Iranian agencies, the black market of the currency in the Iranian capital, "Tehran" stopped selling and buying foreign currency because of the sharp rise, as the prices of the dollar and the euro and the pound reached levels before the nuclear agreement.

The interest in the economic news, especially the currency in Iran, such as the site of "weight" that the price of one dollar exceeded 41 thousand riyals, which caused fear and confusion in the # black market in Tehran # where the exchange offices in Tehran did not buy and sell the dollar and foreign currencies.

Some analysts regard see # Alaguetsada_alaarani that the declaration of the budget deficit in the first half of the current Iranian year and trading reports about the "manipulation of the foreign currency exchange market to offset part of the budget deficit , " led to a rise in the dollar in foreign currency and the rest in front of the Iranian rial.

The head of Iran's Central Bank, Aliullah Saif, attributed the rise in the foreign currency against the riyal to the new US sanctions against Tehran. Washington imposed sanctions on Iranian entities and personalities linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards after announcing the new policy of Donald Trump to the regime in Tehran on October 13, the past.

The talk again about the price of the Iranian currency and the possibility of collapse against the dollar, to the era before the nuclear agreement, as the Iranian "Rial" continued its decline against foreign currencies and fell to an unprecedented level, especially during the past months.

The price of gold in Iran has risen to an unprecedented level in the country during the past two years, where the price of the so-called "full rail in Iran," a piece of pure gold, to ten million four hundred thousand riyals.

Economists had expected the nuclear agreement between Tehran and the six powers to have a positive effect on Iran's markets, but that did not spare the Iranian economy, which was mainly corrupt and mismanaged, and worsened President Trump's opposition to the deal he described as "bad" and "Stupid".

Experts warned the United States of the consequences of focusing its attention on the fate of the nuclear deal in the context of determining its options in dealing with Iran, and stressed that Tehran poses a serious threat to global and regional security because of the continuation of its missile program and support for terrorism.

The warning came at a seminar organized by the Trends Center for Research and Consultancy at the National Press Club in Washington, entitled 'Iran: The Art of Agreement'.

More than 40 representatives of the US government, foreign embassies, the private sector and universities in the United States attended the symposium.

The participants sought to answer questions raised in the United States and abroad about the next step Washington might take in dealing with the Iranian regime after US President Donald Trump refused to sign a resolution on Tehran's commitment to the nuclear deal and referred the file to Congress.

Experts ruled out the possibility that Washington would scrap the deal, fearing such a move would be a setback to the progress made so far in non-proliferation efforts.

But the director of research and communication at the Center 'Trends'

"There is no reason to believe that Iran will not continue to seek nuclear weapons," noted Percell. "Historical precedents confirm that any country trying to acquire nuclear weapons continues its efforts to achieve the goal of acquiring these weapons."

The senior researcher at the Center for Stimson, Ambassador Lynken Bloomfield, explained in detail the activities of the Iranian terrorist regime inside and outside the country.

"It is known that this regime is smuggling young people from Afghanistan to Syria to fight with the Iranian-backed militias in Syrian territory. The Iranian regime is responsible for many executions of political opponents and is involved in war-like activities. "

Bloomfield expressed his firm belief that Iran was 'deliberately pursuing a nuclear program that supposedly uses civilian energy to provide energy,' while Iran is a country with sufficient oil and gas reserves to carry out its development projects. It is clear that continuing access to nuclear technology is intended to acquire nuclear weapons. '

"Iran's continued involvement in the development of ballistic missiles and its support of terrorist organizations throughout the region pose major threats to regional and international security," the spokesman said.

Iraq clarifies its reservation from the final statement of the Arab foreign meeting
[Ayn-Baghdad] The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iraq's reservation on the final statement of the emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers, which was held Sunday at the headquarters of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital Cairo on the "Iranian intervention" in the countries of the region.
"The delegation of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry participating in the emergency meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States held the position of reservation to paragraphs [8 and 9] of the resolution issued by this meeting entitled Iranian Intervention in Iraq, Internal affairs of Arab states ".
"The above paragraphs included a direct indictment of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah for sponsoring and supporting terrorism."
Mahjoub pointed out that this accusation "is inconsistent with Iraq's clear position and stems from the realistic and accurate definition of terrorism and the definition of its ideas, means, tools and hostile performance of peoples and humanity, which requires a distinction between the political position of some parties towards others and the explicit accusation of terrorism without tangible document. The first of the decisions of the Arab Ministerial Council

Hezbollah withdraws from Iraq, recognizing its sabotage role

  • Cairo - statement, agencies
Date:21 November 2017
ximage.jpg.pagespeed.ic.s5veE87Zq8.jpg

Yesterday, the first session of the Arab Ministerial Council came into being, one day after it was issued. The Lebanese Hezbollah, which the Council classified as a terrorist, announced its intention to withdraw its armed militias from Iraq, while recognizing the intervention and sending militants to other countries.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Tehran's key tool in the region, has indirectly acknowledged his militia's role as a saboteur aimed at destabilizing the region. "Those who withdraw from Iraq will return to any other arena that requires them," he said.

He admitted in a televised speech that his party sent large numbers of its leaders and armed cadres to Iraq, in coordination with the Iraqi government at the time. His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, stressed that Iran's missile program and Hezbollah are the cause of instability in the region.

Bahrain confirmed that only Iran and its agents are jolting and barking against the decision of the Arab League. Saudi Arabia said it was considering going to the Security Council to offer Iranian interventions, saying there was an understanding with the United States, which imposed fresh sanctions on Tehran. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a call from US Secretary of State Rex Tilerson to discuss efforts to strengthen security in the region.

Extremely interesting statement basically admitting to being a terrorist organization in the region to destabilize (Iraq???) and admitting to being a tool of Iran.

Why would they say this? Implications, maybe, of what is on the way for Iran and getting the IRGC with Qasem Soleimani out of Iraq and, possibly, all the other ME countries???!!! Distancing themselves from Iran???!!!

Maybe when the "all clear" of ISIS announcement is made, the IRGC, Qasem Soleimani, and all the other Iranian elements in Iraq will get "special attention" with T Rex "masticating" them and Mad Dog Mattis chomping on "their hind quarters"!!!

Here is hopin'!!!

US Treasury sanctions ‘large-scale’ Iran counterfeiting ring

November 21 2017 10:38 PM

U.S. Treasury Sanctions 'Large-Scale' Iran Counterfeiting Ring

The Trump administration on Monday imposed sanctions on what the Treasury Department describes as a “large-scale” Iranian counterfeiting ring that it says is run by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and potentially worth hundreds of millions of dollars, Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday.

The action against the network affiliated with the IRGC, an elite military wing that has taken over swaths of the Iranian economy, is part of a broader strategy by the administration of President Donald Trump to escalate sanctions pressure on Tehran.

Treasury officials said the network used deceptive means to bypass European export control restrictions, buying advanced equipment and materials to print counterfeit Yemeni bank notes potentially worth hundreds of millions of dollars for the IRGC and the group’s overseas branch, the Quds Force.

“This scheme exposes the deep levels of deception the IRGC-Quds Force is willing to employ against companies in Europe, governments in the Gulf, and the rest of the world to support its destabilizing activities,“ Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said. ”Counterfeiting strikes at the heart of the international financial system, and the fact that elements of the government of Iran are involved in this behavior is completely unacceptable.”

Officials at Iran’s United Nations mission didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

As the US considers upending a 2015 nuclear deal it criticizes as ineffectual, the administration is ramping up punitive actions outside the scope of the agreement. It is targeting the IRGC in particular, trying to loosen the group’s grip on power in the Persian nation, and is pressing its European allies to similarly squeeze Tehran.

“This counterfeiting scheme exposes the serious risks faced by anyone doing business with Iran, as the IRGC continues to obscure its involvement in Iran’s economy and hide behind the facade of legitimate businesses to perpetrate its nefarious objectives,” Mr. Mnuchin said.

This looks pretty ominous for the IRGC-Qud Forces outside Iran and for Iran itself. The strike on the IRGC and Iran could be lightning quick and precise. I suspect more "good news" about IRGC, Qasem Soleimani, and Iran being neutralized in the Middle East is forthcoming!

Nouri al-Maliki

US President Donald Trump is following the financial crimes of former prime minister Nouri al Maliki as well as his cooperation with Iran, well-informed sources at the US administration told The Baghdad Post on Thursday.
The sources added that Trump is studying Maliki's crimes against Iraqi people including ignoring Iran's violations in which Tehran looted 17 billion dollars of Iraq's oil revenues (14 percent of the annual revenues). This money enabled Mullah's regime to avoid international sanctions imposed against Tehran.
Trump is also following up Maliki's financial support to Hezbollah with 18 billion dollars, the sources underlined.
The sources also said that eyewitnesses including former Iraqi finance minister Baqir Jabr Al-Zubeidi raised to Trump a number of document that criminalize Maliki and his regime.

I was riding the fence on where Syria would fall. My perception is Syria is a significant Russian ally and strategically important to Russia in the Middle East Landscape. Russia has had some serious military operations in Syria for the past while so I suspected Russia would retain a politically controlling interest in Iraq. For Trump to say via the Baghdad Post that Russia's puppet Assad would be removed by the end of 2017 (less than one month away) is a really, really big deal. This suggests Syria will pivot West and away from Russia. I would like to wait and see on this one. Overall Syria pivoting West would likely favor reconstruction, possibly with a Marshall type Plan. It would make sense to get Syria all cleaned up and reconstructed so they are stable, too, on the heels of Iraq provided Syria has reasonable natural resources and economic potential. Syria is likely a high potential for the Silk Road (I forget the alternate name - hey, I haven't had my coffee, yet, this morning :o) so is critical for international commerce reasons. I suspect Lebanon will get further cleaned up as well since Lebanon has sea ports. I am still really hacked about the 220 American Marines, 21 American Service Personnel, and other Peace Keeping Forces that lost their lives by a senseless bombing of the barracks in Lebanon on October 23, 1983. I didn't think we did the necessary deed then so maybe, finally, justice is being served on these rats now, too, and Lebanon just might pivot West. This indicates to me that Iran is the huge loser in all this with potentially Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and (possibly) Yemen falling out of their hands. I would like to see Yemen as well get pounded to pivot West due to the USS Cole incident so justice is served there as well. Saudi Arabia would likely want their neighbor amicable, too. (Hey, Ole Donald got that trendy yacht and flashy sword from Saudi Arabia a few months back just for showing up :o) The down side is Iran may turn into a wounded Gorilla and use whatever it has to render death and destruction. However, Iran has been teetering internally with Iranian populace dissatisfaction with the hardliner Mullah Regime so maybe things are underway to transition Iran to a more amicable, yet outsider, entity.

I agree, NewbieDA!

Never know what Ole Donald, T Rex, and Mad Dog Mattis have been "strategically" planning! I agree, wait and see. One month, though, is a really small window for Syria to get ISIS free and reduce the Russian presence in Iraq for Assad to be removed. The question is then, "Who will replace Assad and what type of government will be rolled out in Syria to include any governmental transition plans?"

The other piece is what implications this has on the global financial landscape. BRICS has been a huge implication of late so I wonder what we will see on the financial landscape and how much momentum BRICS has and will have.
