Parliamentary sources suggested that the response of the Prime Minister, Haider Abadi, to attend a meeting of the Council of Representatives, on Wednesday, to discuss the budget this year, which exceeded the first reading, after some of the blocks required to meet their demands or "break the quorum of the  session." 
Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri announced during a meeting yesterday to call on Abadi to attend the parliament session to discuss controversial points on the budget, which includes a deficit of 20 percent. 
The MP, Majid al-Ghrawi told "Sabah" that the Council put during its last call the Prime Minister to Parliament to discuss the paragraphs and topics related to the demands and benefits of some provinces, expressing his hope to meet Abadi to call for change what can be changed in the paragraphs of the budget in line with these demands to Blocks can vote on the budget.

Council of Representatives resumed on Wednesday, held its eighth session under the chairmanship of Salim Jubouri , is scheduled to witness the hearing questioning Minister of Electricity Qassim Fahdawi. 

A parliamentary source said in an interview for Alsumaria News, "The House of Representatives resumed its eighth meeting chaired by Salim Jubouri." 

The source, who asked not to be named, that "is scheduled to witness the hearing questioning Minister of Electricity Qassim Fahdawi." 

It is worth mentioning that the House of Representatives ended, during its eighth session held on Monday, the first reading of the budget law, while decided to resume the meeting on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi will attend the parliament building at 1 pm to discuss the financial budget for 2018

MP Abbas al-Bayati said that the prime minister will attend today's meeting on the government's justice statement on the budget issue and the distribution of revenues, as well as presenting a review of his participation in the last Davos conference, preparations for the donor conference in Kuwait.

Al-Bayati said in a statement to Mawazin News that "today's meeting is a resumed session and does not require a quorum, although we hope that the presence of large and good is expected with the arrival of the Prime Minister."

"There are important votes that need a quorum," al-Bayati said.

He pointed out that the differences on the budget focused on three differences, "the first 12 percent allocated to the Kurdistan region and the Kurdish blocs to be 17 percent," and the second is "the issue of compensation of the provinces affected by terrorism and I mean here Salahuddin, Anbar and Nineveh" The third dispute focuses on " Demanding the southern provinces of Dhi Qar, Maysan and Basra with a petro-dollar theme. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Wednesday the government's reliance on population ratios on the province's share in the general budget for 2018.
