I must admit it seems to me that all of the good news are coming to fruition right around the time "Liberation Of Mosul" is expected to be announced this weekend. The people have suffered so darn long they need some news that will surely change their lives forever. Keeping the faith til the very end..... tigergorzow Posted May 19, 2017 Report Share Posted May 19, 2017 Iraqi lawmaker calls for issuing laws to curb kidnappings May 18 2017 12:43 PM Askandar Watot Askandar Watot, member of Iraqi parliament's Defense and Security Committee, said on Thursday that the National Alliance called for issuing laws to reduce kidnappings which have witnessed a big upsurge recently. He declared the intention of the Alliance to submit a request to the Iraqi cabinet to expose the organizations responsible for such kidnappings. He added that the complicity between the government and such organizations to frighten the activists and journalists is unacceptable as the government is supposed to pursue equality when it comes to enforcing laws. Haider Abadi, Prime Minister of Iraq, stated on Wednesday in his weekly conference that armed groups like ISIS and IMIS militias carried out some kidnappings Iraq for political purposes as the investigations proved. King Bean Posted May 19, 2017 Report Share Posted May 19, 2017 I'm sure a new law will do it !! They don't know it's illegal to kidnap and kill people, but Parliament (at least the 167 that show up) will throw together a law post-haste, and the GOI will push this through, as they extended their session an extra month for SOMETHING.
