  1. I should hope so. Kuwait vs. Iraq is like comparing the gdp and size of Rhode Island vs. New York State.
  2. That might be a good way to trick them into coming in to work for a change. Tell them there's going to be a holiday vote.
  3. No better time than now to RV and put a damper on Maliki

  5. With the ousting of Mugabe who turned Zimbabwe into an economic disaster, it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out with their currency as the new leaders allow the white farmers to come back in and get their farms back which were not being developed properly if at all. I would assume, as they get their economic act together and slowly go back to their own currency, they'll burn the old bills and design new legal tender leaving the old currency that's still floating around for collectors to buy and sell amongst themselves.
  6. I agree with that one. I've thought that myself. At least it got Maliki out of that position.
  7. Indeed been in this pretty much since the beginning. I did one thing yesterday to bolster my confidence in 2018 I closed out my safety deposit box and took my dinars home. Haven't seen them since I got them. Thought I was going to find them all decomposed into dust At least now I'm ready for the pop and save myself an extra trip to get them out.
  8. Yeah, one can only hope. If it wasn't for the ISIS issue, I'm sure we would have been out of this this year which I thought that's when it would happen but I'll take 2018.
  9. I don't see it getting past 2018 without an RV. The election is tentatively scheduled for May so it would have to be before that if a lot of them want to get reelected without a fight.
  10. Ah corruption. You'll never be able to eliminate it. Just take a look at our own country and its corruption. To me it's a feeble excuse. The issue with ISIS now that is/was a more concrete excuse. I'm going for 2018 based on one thing that I mentioned before in past comments that I remember reading an article from Iraq, think it was around 2011-2012 that I came across, that specifically stated either 2017 or 2018 for currency revaluation. It probably would have been 2017 if not for the issue that arose from ISIS. I can't see them at this point going past 2018 without making a move on their currency. I'm sorry I never kept all those news links on backup so I could easily relink it but if I do rediscover that article I will post the link.
  11. If they want to get reelected, I suggest they bring their currency "back to its former glory" before the elections takes place. Can't think of any better campaign talking point than that.
  12. Let's hope Iraq does something positive with this very soon such as RV before we end up where they were in Chapter 7
  13. Iraq, you should hang your head in shame. Your currency has been around since 2003 and it is only worth a little more now after 14 years than it did then. Meanwhile, bitcoin has only been around since 2009 with no intrinsic value behind it and it smashes your currency into the depths of the Earth only after 8 years in terms of value. For shame Iraq for shame. Just wanted to vent a bit.
  14. Saudi Arabia is going to be in the same boat around 10 years from now.
  15. I was excited at first until Jesus Christ not another study. How many studies do you guys need to to. It's do or do not there is no study.
  16. Was going to post this link the other night but he had taken it down and just re-uploaded it a few hours ago. Pretty good break down.
  17. It'll happen when we are least expecting it and looking and it'll catch us by surprise. That's how things like this usually work.
  18. He's Iraq's version of Hillarious Clinton (who is about to receive an Award for Advancing Human Rights)
  19. When I saw the first gif in the thread I was waiting for the cat's paw.
