  1. Nope you're wrong. I worked in Kuwait as a contractor as well, from 2004 to 2006, then I was transferred to Iraq from 2006 to 2009. If you notice, all the kids go to the malls in Kuwait City on Wednesday night, because that is the equivalent to our Friday night in the US. But don't take my word, go see for yourself, if you're truely over there. May I suggest the Marina Mall in Kuwait City.
  2. One day, it may get to the point where these over-confident people such as Obama just may have to depend on the veterans again, to defend them on our home soil. All I can say it would suck to be him. My dad, who was in WW II basically said the same thing. He was offered coffee for free behind the lines by the Salvation Army. If you wanted coffee from the Red Cross you had to pay. From then on, he never donated to the Red Cross, only to the Salvation Army. I agree though, we all should be extending our hands in thanks to these brave veterans...from ALL wars.
  3. The gurus forget that Thursday and Friday is actually the weekend in the Middle East. Thursday is equivalent to our Saturday, and Friday is equivalent to our Sunday. The first day of their work week is actually Saturday. They should have set their sites on Wednesday or Saturday and it would have been much more believable. Or let me say it like this: if their banks close for the weekend, like ours do....then their banks are closed on Thursday and Friday.
  4. I can't say anymore than what has been said already. All I can say is that I'll keep your family in prayer. Just remember Ms. Patty that you are loved and God is in control.
  5. This has been done for years (taking pics of dead bodies and body parts), just the media needs to get out of the military's business. Also, where is the backlash where they were dragging US soldier's bodies in the streets of Iraq a couple of years ago? I'm getting pretty tired of the media playing up to the sides of the terrorists. Makes me wonder whose side they're really on. They don't mind burning our bibles, but if a Koran gets burned, then it's an international incident with all kinds of protest held. Let the soldiers go and do their jobs, then hurry and come back home. News media, all you have to do is for you worry about who is wearing what in Hollywood.
  6. I agree. But not only should government assistance recipients have to pass drug screens, I also feel it should also be required for Senators, Congressmen, Mayors, any person who recieves a check from a taxpayer....to also include District Attorneys, Judges, all their staff, police, fire, EMS, PRESIDENTS, ect.
  7. Pickle juice is good....the actual pickle juice itself is brine....or salt water. If you have a sodium problem, this will definitely help.
  8. Ms. Patty: Usually leg cramps are the result of an insufficient amount of normally either sodium or potassium in the body. They usually manifest themselves first in your calves. This is especially true if you take a diuretic ( a medicine that makes you pee) such as Lasix or the generic version is furosemide. The "old school" remedy is to eat bananas and cucumbers, or you can even drink some gatorade. Beside what your doc told you to take, (I'd never go against a doctor). This should help you some, hope you feel better soon.
  9. Well, 1% to 3% usually for established countries....but Iraq is getting on it's feet again. I really feel this IQD is gonna hit when it does revalue. So keep your chin up and don't be bummed. I really hope all these "experts" are wrong and it has a really big RV, like above $1 per IQD. GO RV !!!
  10. It's a shame, and I'm sure this kind of stuff goes on all the time. What really gets to me is that the Presidential Election is decided by the Electorial College...the delegates...not from the popular vote. To me this is unconstitutional, but they're not going to change it anytime soon. I really believe in all my heart that it was decided that Obama was going to be president, and it was decided way before the 2008 Election.
  11. LOL @ Dinarthug..........well, I'll never believe in an in country RV. To me it'll have to be all or nothing. But this is Okie we're talking about....same stuff every week.
  12. I've seen it on Yahoo Finance and the Forex yesterday the rate was 1161.85 . Then today it's back to 1164.50 on the Forex.
  13. I can only hope it would RV at $4 per 1 IQD ...therefore 1 million IQD would be $4 million. Now at that rate, it would be totally sweet. GO RV !!!
  14. Adam, do you have any new news or intel? Thanks.
  15. In my opinion, we are closer to an RV than ever before. So don't lose faith...I've been invested in this stuff since 2004, heard the same crap from gurus over and over again, but I feel we're getting near the end of this ride. GO RV !!!
  16. Welcome to Dinar Vets, it's nice to have you join us. GO RV !!!
  17. I agree Motox565, some of us may have been born at night, but it wasn't last night.
  18. eddiemac, I'm the same as you. I find myself dreaming of what I'd like to do or buy when it RVs, helps me fall to sleep as well. I'm glad I'm not the only one. My wife has complained about it in the past too...but when it RVs, she won't complain at all I'm sure. GO RV !!!
  19. I may seem mean for saying this....but as long as they have a good RV...then after that, I don't care what happens there. GO RV !!!
  20. Happy Easter to all. I pray that God's blessing be upon you, as we celebrate the resurrection of His Son and our Savior, Jesus. He is the reason for the season.
  21. Nadita, you're so sweet. Happy Easter to you as well, and also to everyone. May this be a joyous occasion for all.
  22. 1,200 dinars to $1,000 .......I'll sure take that. Thanks............GO RV !!! Thank you for your effort and help msmortgagewiz, it is appreciated more than you realize. Have a wonderful Easter.
  23. As much as I love good news, I'm kinda confused. At one point he says $1 = 1.5 IQD....then at another point he says $1000 will equal 1,200 IQD. (the dollar will be equivalent to 1.5 dinars only) ; (1200 dinars will equal $1000) . Am I reading this wrong? Anyway, Thanks Katie.
