  1. I am no LOPSTER, but if the IQD does lop and I can afford it, hopping on a plane to Iraq and exchanging old for the new will be my solution. Put it all back in the safe and watch the country and its currency rebuild. Michael Jordan is 1st on my list of the all time greatest. Kona Brew Hazelnut is my favorite coffee these days. Aloha all and go RV!
  2. Following the logic of this thread, let's do a loose comparison: I shop at Costco once a month for groceries and supplies and spend about $500.00 USD per month. Currently, if an iraqi citizen wants to spend the IQD equivalent for his family he would spend(not getting the calculator) around 500,000 IQD. If he is holding only 25k IQD notes, he would need to carry in 20 notes to make his purchase. If iraq only redenominates and the same person trades in the 25k notes for 100 IQD notes, he would have to lug in a quantity of (5000) 100 IQD notes to make the same purchase. How does this improve commerce in Iraq? It seems to me it would make it more difficult and serve little purpose, unless they change the prices on everything inside the country. Changing the prices on every single sellable item seems like a PITA as well. I have no clue how this will turn out but like most here, let us hope for a good return on our investment Just my Go RV!
  3. I am thinking after the RV to buy forclosed properties and rent them for income and profts! C'MON GO RV!!!
  4. Sounds like another example of the shamelessly wealthy keeping their greedy hands in everyone's pockets whilst cruising around in their 300 million dollar yacht. GO GO GO RV!!!
  5. I wish he would be correct just once, so I COULD quit my job and begin my life anew! GO RV!!!
  6. Am I correct in stating this is the situation we were NOT hoping for? GO RV!
  7. If the dollar tanks and the dinar is on the rise, we couldn't be in a better place! Go RV!
  8. ... And this little piggy cried "wee, wee, weee" all the way to the bank! GO RV!!!
  9. I had no idea.... Absolutely horrified is how I am feeling at the moment. With the current idiots ruling over the planet, it will be a miracle if the human race survives another century.
  10. IF I were not allowed to eat or drink fluids during the daylight hours of this holiday, I would not want to get out of bed and go to work either! At least that is how it was explained to me(Ramadan) from a Desert Storm veteran. GO RV!!!
  11. How hard can it be to educate the iraqis? The GOI comes out and says "Your wealth has been returned to you as promised. What once cost 25,000 IQD to purchase now only costs 25 IQD. Enjoy yourselves!" GO RV!
  12. Because I do not believe the GOI can take much more from the iraqi people, the currency will either go neutral or up. Once they get their collective acts together the artificial rate will have to be dropped. Sure hope we make some money off of this. Go RV!
  13. I am counting the days as well. Here's to an RV with a big return and a well deserved vacation!
  14. GOT IT! Thanks Adam. I love the way new uncirculated IQD smell! Even better than the new car smell. GO RV!
  15. Welcome to DV! Step carefully as you negotiate the minefield.
  16. Yes, thank you for positive info! We can only hope...
  17. Great arguments all around, really! I have to put this in my own perspective. If my personal IQD investment tanks to 0 USD and I lose it all, then I sell my motorcycle( a recreational vehicle) and recoup all of my losses. If after taking this chance I lose my bike so be it. Chances are a better/newer one will be in my future. Worst case senario as I see it is a mostly break even situation. The down side looks pretty small to me. Take a chance, sometimes we win, but most of the time we lose a little. Such is life. Before I go, what is the opposite of a pumper? Could it be a dumper? Still holding on to an RV with a positve cash flow...
  18. The Way I see it, the longer this thing takes to RV the more dinar I have the opportunity to purchase. Dipping into my savings is not an option any longer since my first purchase came from there, but any discretionary income may just go into more IQD. Please do not get me wrong, GO RV YESTERDAY!
  19. *shakes his head* Is it ground hog day? Or Deja Vu? I am not sure at the moment. Sure seems like I have read this post before. Oh WTH I will cross my fingers yet another weekend... GO RV Already!!!
  20. That cannot help but put a smile on my face
  21. Thank you for the well intended advice. It's Nice to see ppl. help point us newbs in the right direction. I will have to admit though, some of the trash is hilarious and I find it quite entertaining. Yet my primary focus is to learn more about my investment. Thanks again! Aloha
