Maliki: "I'll resign if you let me pick the new PM and set up the government the way I want it." What a joke! As blurry as my crystal ball is I don't see him going anywhere soon. He's already stalled for a couple of months now and everything is still all mucked-up. He likely needs to leave on a slab once the bus runs him over before these boobs move any kind of government forward. So folks, we wait, and wait, and wait. At least we get to enjoy watching the circus that they call a government.

This is potentially GREAT news. What has me troubled is the presence of Iran. When did they suddenly get to be dictating and "ensuring" any Iraqi political agreement? How can that possibly happen? If they're mucking around in Iraq's politics I can see a huge push-back from parliament. Also, it's my understanding that there's no love lost between Iran and the Kurds - another thorn in the side of all of this. As much as I'd love to be overly optimistic about this news, the word "cautious" jumps right out.

Now wouldn't it be strange that the mitigating factor to moving the RV forward would be Al-Queda? Who'd a thunk that one up? However, based on Iraq's proven (bottom of the pyramid stuff) inability to accomplish just about anything it would not surprise me in the least if nothing at all happens while ISIS systematically takes over and controls major sectors of Iraq, thus keeping the poor people just trying to get by, once more strangled by poverty and desperation, living in refugee camps and like many of today's Somalies moving to America for asylum.

Deja-vu all over again. Maliki vs. Allawi with the Kurds in the middle. How many years will it take to get any kind of government settled this time? Sigh. We continue to wait.

Based on past actions, I'm betting this goes nowhere for a long, long time. Now they have something else to endlessly argue about while the much needed HCL and RV sits and rots. Business as usual folks.

The phrase that stands out to me is "...hoped to proceed". They just had to add that didn't they. Typical Iraq double talk. So, I'm not holding my breath on this one either but I'm crossing my fingers that something will actually happen soon.

Thanks Storm for the post. This was a knee-slappin' hoot. They say laughter is good medicine and I was feeling a bit down today, but not any more. I suppose we might want to feel some pity for these poor souls who are all tangled-up in this kind of guru nonsense, but then where would we get our jollies?

Excellent laugh! FEMA has continuously shown us how efficient they are, haven't they? Geez, they couldn't find their own toes if they snubbed them to let them know where they are. And they're going to organized and coordinate a country-wide military organization to overcome the at least 80 million legally owned guns out there? No way. Some pretty creative writing I think.

Before I came to my senses and moved away from the GET Team lunacy, TXtrader aways seemed to cause them a lot of problems and was always stirring up controversy by calling them on their BS. He and I exchanged several private messages and he was definitely not a kool-aid drinker. His info seemed to be spot-on so IF this post was from him, it very well may have some credibility to it. Let's keep our fingers crossed - he might be right.

Kapperoni and Bondlady seem to be discussing the IMF/WB meetings. I saw nothing in their chats that mentioned anything about Shabs getting skewered at all. Pretty much a lot of references to "get on with it boys". Check their info out for yourselves.
