  1. GoFast 350Z - I'm hearing the same thing - my friend and I heard it was announced in a mosque in Baghdad, and that the RV was very high, better than that 1:1. We email back and forth with some folks in the middle east. Trying to confirm, but so far no luck, and I'm certainly no pumper - I've been in the for years already, too. So lets hope its right, we're supposed to know Monday. I'm ready for this for a ton of reasons. Best - and lets pray this is finally a fact.
  2. BettyB - you were one of my most favorite cartoons as a kid - giving away my age here, but there were lots of reruns and loved little Pudgy (Betty's dog). Big BIG hugs to you - get well soon - in our hearts and definitely in our prayers. 5. Ah for opinions - they're like belly buttons or butts - everyone has one. But I certainly enjoy reading them and sometimes get psyched up and othertimes, not so much - this one sounds like a good one and enjoyable. Best have a good weekend to all.
  6. continue thanking God for this wonderful opportunity, then call my accountant to pay off all my debt, then go to work and give my notice, then just sit and decide how I'm going to effectively manage my money and help family, friends etc. and maybe something for me that I've waited for all my life.

  8. Scarps - good stuff and interesting read. Parallels stuff I've been reading on the net. Let's hope this is the real deal and not just more pumper goo - timing makes good sense particularly what I've read relative to budget and 2012 goals. Got to get their ducks in a row because more and more commercial work is floating into Iraq - I know my company is bidding a bunch of stuff over there.
  9. Gmartin - I'm not 100% sure on that - I understood from some other reading I've been doing that this was sufficient - I'll keep digging - thanks for the question. Gmartin - ok, you are correct, must pass parliment, too - rats! I found some more information buried in another DV forum thread - sorry for the repeat; OKAY TO DELETE THIS ONE. 2'sDay Bytes: Med Sez HCL Approved By Parliament Today + FRANK IZ ALL SMILES ... via dguru Read more:

  11. Prayer is the only thing that truly changes things and ensures those changes are permanent.

  13. Dinariana - I'm going to be on the road and then on vacation - I'm certainly enjoying this thread, I get back after the Labor day holiday - so I will only have opportunity to spot check. Would like to take up our discussion again then if this post is still open and cannot believe it won't be active. Best and kind regards.
  14. Dinariana - GE responding to the discussion we've been having - from your response to me - I'll try to insert my reply to your questions in capital letters - not shouting at you. And what I saying is what I believe. "What Rabbi discussions do you mean? I WAS REFERRING TO THE PRESENT ONES, I'VE STUDIED TORAH AND HAD MANY AND HAVE MANY QUESTIONS, SO I WOULD TALK TO THE ONES AT THE LOCAL SYNAGOGUE TO BETTER UNDERSTAND. And, are you saying that the concept of resurrection existed in Hebrew awareness approx 4,000 years ago? YES I AM. You know, I have seen some discussion of Rabbis trying to make sense of Biblical passages, and they do try to make things seem better than they are. Because what we have there is often so baldly bad that you have to find a way to cover it, or accept that it is just a script from a very different mindset from an unpleasant era of unknown authorship. AM I UNDERSTANDING YOUR COMMENTS THAT YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IN WHAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN IN THE PENTATEUCH OR TORAH OR THE BIBLE FOR THAT MATTER? It is doubtful if Abraham was a monotheist. HE WAS, AND WHY HE WAS CALLED OUT - BECAUSE HE STOOD OUT FROM ALL THE REST BY BELIEVING AND ACCEPTING THE ONE GOD - ABRAM LIVED IN A CITY NAMED UR, WHICH WAS LOCATED IN THE COUNTRY OF CHALDEA, KNOWN TODAY AS IRAQ. THIS CITY WAS NOT FAR FROM WHERE NIMROD TRIED TO BUILD THE CITY OF BABEL. THE PEOPLE OF THE LAND WORSHIPED IDOLS. LIKE ALL OF ADAM'S OFFSPRING, ABRAM WAS BORN IN THE DARKNESS OF SIN. ABRAM'S FATHER DID NOT KNOW THE TRUE GOD AND NEITHER DID ABRAM. HOWEVER THE TORAH TELLA THAT ONE DAY THE LORD GOD REVEALED HIMSELF TO ABRAM AND SPOKE WITH HIM. All the local people believed in multiple gods, THAT IS VERY TRUE and Jehovah speaks of himself as one of them NOT THAT I'VE READ, SO PLEASE TELL ME WHERE, in many passages in the Bible, acknowledging the other gods as real. THIS PART I OF YOUR PARAGRAPH I'VE NOT FOUND EITHER. The ancient Jews were henotheists, meaning believing in one god among other gods. THAT THEY DID START OUT THAT WAY - I AGREE. I don't think there is adequate proof such that a reasonable God would hold anyone guilty for not being convinced. I don't believe he will be angry at people for using the brains he gave them. Furthermore, it is hard for me to imagine why God would be offended about a human not being sure of something he can't see or not believing in him...why? So what? How is it that people have been convinced that God cares more for them having a correct belief system in this world of deception and confusion than what kind of soul they are? Read more:
  15. DinarThug - Did you say you are Colonel Tom PORKER and the Pink Porkster is Elvis Prosciutto Pate Presley?
  16. Dinariana - I'll have to take some time this evening and read your response in detail - this is an interesting and great thread. I do know from reading the Torah, and from Rabbi discussions, that Ibrahim did believe Yitzhak would be resurrected and was a portent of things to come. And regarding that portent, the Jewish nation continues to look for the first coming. I think resurrection was a surprise to the people of the NT because they were expecting an earthly king to come and overthrow the Romans - that Yeshua would set up his earthly kingdom and rule then so yes, it was a concept only 11 of his initial group grasped, but not any too well. I believe there are many instances in the OT or Torah that speak of the Christ to come and when He will return; and that is why the great debate today between Jews and Believers. I also believe that we are all born with free choice and some choose to follow and believe and others choose to go their own way and never believe even when presented with the evidence. So, that goes to some of the why there are "bad" people and some are not - those that choose not to believe when having been presented with the proof will suffer consequences of that choice. I know many that choose not to believe, but by the world's standards are great people - kind, loving, would not ever think of hurting another person - how Yehovah decides to deal with them is His job - and not mine to ponder. I'll try to get through all of your response - and again, very much appreciate the discussion. I know compared to what I'm reading on here, in some areas I'm a rank neophyte, but in others - not so much.
  17. 52%sure - yes to Perot - and he really threw a monkeywrench into the works - too bad his running mate couldn't remain awake during the debates.
  18. DINARIANA - question regarding this paragraph from your post - "So in the middle of this middle eastern ancient culture is Abraham, and one day his god, who was El Shaddai, told him to sacrifice his son, and Abraham does not even seem shocked. Why is he not absolutely shocked? Because it was common, and especially for the high born, to sacrifice their precious offspring in times of trouble. Now, we have a Christian religion in which lots of people are supposed too be going to hell and yet we have a Jehovah or in this one case El Shaddai who is supporting human, child sacrifice and yet he is supposed to stand out among the heathen as being different?" I understood that God called Avraham and changed his name to Abram (Ibrahim) because he recognized that there was a higher being. And while human sacrifice was prevalent, Yitzhak (Isaac) was a pre-representation of the coming One - the Christ - Yeshua, and why Yahweh spared Yitzhak because of Abram's obedience. I believe as that representation, Abram fully expected God to resurrect Yitzhak after the sacrifice. Is this a falsification - curious since you didn't mention this in the thread. Thanks kindly.
  19. TG - hey, understand your position - I don't want a rank amateur in either - they have to have some knowledge of how this works, but willing to change the system for the better.I wanted to attach a funny couple of photos - it is of a parade in Scandia, MN, and Obama and Mrs. are being pulled in a tractor - but instead of a hay rack, they are riding in a manure spreader. Politics at its finest.
  20. DT - understanding there is a "cash-in" rate and a "bank" rate - will we be able to try to negotiate a better rate between the two? I would think if we band together and come with a truckload of money that the bank(s) maybe willing to do so - just thinking outloud.
  21. TG - I did scan the 17 points VERY quickly and realize he changed - but some of the other stuff, c'mon! Right now, I'm anti-establishment politicians - we need some real fresh blood running and not those that have been around since Custer was a corporal. I think I'm just trying to say the rhetoric remains the same only the face changes and lips move differently. I'm so tainted anymore over politicians so if I stepped on your toes, not meant to harm.
  22. TG - didn't he jump the democrat ship and become a republican - hum, leopards can't change their spots..........
