  1. These guys are working on a weekend....does that mean I have to take back my sarcastic remarks about all their vacations?
  2. I agree. How can you put an 80% tariff on rice when the consumers are starving, or close to it. I believe these type of news items are the Iraqis way of nudging up to an RV. The RV issue and all other government issues have such an ego attached to them. It is just like Egypt and Murbarak and his honor and ego. Can't fool with him because he has honor. Meanwhile, his people are starving. The Iraq government does not want to be told what to be done, even though they know they will do it and it is a necessity to move forward in the world. I believe they will nonchalantly move the RV in place and then into view. 'Oh, of course we RV'ed. You silly Americans. You are smarter than that. It was always part of our overall strategy. Of course we know what we are doing. And now you have us to thank for all of the good fortune bestowed upon you Now leave our country and don't let the cargo door hit you in the ass.'

The initiative came after more than seven months of talks the political blocs and clusters led to an agreement to form a government and to assign and assign-Maliki chairing the National Council for the strategic policies of Iyad Allawi and President of the Republic of Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. And provided a draft of the National Council of the policies of the Supreme Council’s decisions be binding in the case had been taken unanimously, and contrary to the decisions of the Council members and two-thirds majority in this case be binding on the authorities concerned as well. 4. Question: Do you know if the HCL law was passed or not? Answer: Heard of the law but was not aware of its status, Ron, no disrespect, but this is someone that we are to take seriously and he has "heard" of the HCL law. Wow. I know nothing and know about the HCL and its importance. The oil is what all of this is based on - without it we not be here discussing an RV. Am I missing something?
  5. We missed the point? Perhaps you should have shared these details in the original post and you would have saved us from all of this speculation and you having to explain your position. Details are a wonderful thing. If you had a 30-40 minute conversation with the Dr., I would think you would have a lot more so say than this. Anyway, as it stands, even with some of the details, it is still an opinion. And you think the Dr's opinion has more value than Okie? At least we know Okie and know he is whacked. He is pure entertainment if you even chose to read his writings. I would suggest that you write when you are not at work so that you can get the whole story out. Otherwise, the post is wasting time for others. I am sure your bank would appreciate it as well.
  6. I think the BBB, Better Business Bureau, may be a sham. I have a small business and was recently contacted by the BBB for enrollment. For $300 (or something like that) I could have added the BBB symbol to my website. There was no reference check, no customer verification, no credit check. Nothing......just pay them. I will say that I requested the caller to call me back in a few days, which he never did. Perhaps he was scamming the BBB. I think we need to take a step back before we could interfere with someone's business, like Dinar Trade. The poster never said who he had a problem with specifically. Individuals assumed it was the usual suspects, TK, Okie, etc. The poster could have been talking about a real business like DT. I have had nothing but the most business-like, professional experience with Dinar Trade. And no, I am not a pumper for DT, just a satsified customer.
  7. I hope that Iraqis' civil unrest will continue to grow in the form of demonstrations. The world will be watching. Then every elected politician in Iraq will be held responsible for the condition of their country, and their lack of expedited action to help the citizens will come to a boiling point and they will have to do something. P.S. I am tired of hearing about Mubarak's honor. We can't throw him out, we can do this, we can't do that. Mubarak is an honorable man. He helped us to keep peace in the ME, assisted with Israel and Palestinian peace, ........You cannot interfere because other ME countries will not believe that they are our allies. How about this: Mubarak you are a cruel dictator that is starving your people while you horde billions of dollars (yes, our tax dollars). Leave now. And any other country that thinks we will support them with this type of regime, is wrong. We should be making an example of Mubarak. I don't give a damn about Mubarak's honor. He has none in my mind. He gave it up when the first Egyptian went hungry! And if Maliki is smart, and I am sure he is since we educated him at our best universities, he is paying attention. But I have a feeling Maliki is just as stubborn and egotisical as Murbarak.
  8. I hope the Iraqis continue to grow their demonstrations and do not listen to this token of civility spewed by these officials. They are just covering their own rich arses while their people struggle. Up north where the three were shot by police for demonstrating, they are activating cash cards. This is nothing more than propoganda. As we all know, the GOI and Maliki need to get it together and RV. Most importantly, they need to help their own people.
  9. Thank goodness these people are getting some relief. It seems Tunisia and Egypt are having a ripple effect. I don't want to comment on what this means for the expediency of an RV. I am sure it is good. I am just relieved these people are getting help.
  10. Thank you for the post Ron. This looks like a synopsis of news events over the past few days.
  11. Thank you for the information. It seems we have several veteran, credible DV members telling stories today that believable! Sounds good.
  12. Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts Acronym for Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts. Program in some states where lawyers holding funds belonging to clients, which are too small or short-term for an individual interest-bearing account, deposit such funds into a special bank account containing similar funds from other lawyers. The interest generated from the pooled account helps fund legal programs for the needy.
  13. When this happens, it may be the only post I go to. Perhaps a member could be assigned to an item to be responsible for verifiable updates. That would ease the pain a bit. If volunteers are needed for verification, count me in. Great idea! Thank you for 'thinking.'
  14. I would think that the last sentence regarding ending all rows and passing the budget on, is even more important than the ministers names. And both are a very good thing it is indeed! Thank you for the post and effort! Carrello
  15. We had a conversation going that had some thought and experience behind it. And out of the blue, a denegrading, childlike conversation appears out of the blue. As my nephew, who is six years old, would say, "it is stupid talk." You know what I think? I think the individuals that are turning these intelligent conversations into street talk bs, are actually trying to disrupt our conversations. Their motive is to get into DV and make this site look bad (this site is not pumping dinar sales), and if you read many posts from members that are commenting and leaving the site, it is working. These individuals are intentionally disrupting the sharing of information and analysis so that we are unable to come to a concensus. And the bottomline for us, the reason we are here together, the reason for the dialogue, is to discern when the RV will happen, and perhaps a rate. So, the next time your conversation is interrupted, think about it. Don't give your conversation over to these people. Shut it down. Ignore them. You know, the old sticks and stones, break my bones, words can never hurt me type of attitude. We have better things to say and more intelligent dialogue to partake in.
  16. I would agree with Tex idea, that constant public promotion is most likely NOT a good sign for the prospects of an RV any time soon. Jim, in reference to your quote above, do you think these dealers that are advertising know anymore than many of our "experts" here? I feel many here at DV are more sophisticated in their research and analysis than many dealers would be, and it seems to me that most believe the RV will take place by June. Perhaps the dealers are Middle Eastern and have connections with accurate intel and believe the RV is much farther out. This is purely a question on my part. I am new to this and looking for knowledgeable and experienced "experts" opinions, and they all seem to be members of DV. Thank you!
  17. Money is their God and Okie is just a disciple.
  18. keepmwlknfny, this is a question and not a bash: I know you have written about the $2 start before. Is there somewhere I can go to read your analysis for this rate, please. Thank you.
  19. Did anyone check out the "Cartoons" on the right side of the Gazette. 95% of the cartoons involve Uncle Sam being ridiculed. I cannot read what they say, but it is very apparent we are being ridiculed. Check it out. If anyone can translate, it would be even more interesting. Cheers!
