  1. THE OLD MAN As I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my cart of groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open. The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car and continued to watch the old gentleman from about twenty five feet away.. I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm, walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too and took a few steps towards him. I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something. The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade and then turn back to the old man and I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying, 'You shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car at your age.' And then with a wave of his hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot. I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine. He then went to his wife and spoke with her and appeared to tell her it would be okay.. I had seen enough and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.' He smiled sheepishly and quietly nodded his head. I looked under the hood myself and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me. Looking around I saw a gas station up the road and told the old man that I would be right back... I drove to the station and went inside and saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them and related the problem the old man had with his car and offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him. The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated engine) I spoke with the old gentleman. When I shook hands with him earlier, he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?' He had mentioned that he served with the first Marine Division at Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal ... He had hit all the big ones and retired from the Corps after the war was over. As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me and I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card. He still reached for the wallet and handed me a card that I assumed had his name and address on it and I stuck it in my pocket.. We all shook hands all around again and I said my good-bye's to his wife. I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me One of them pulled out a card from his pocket looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then, that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off. For some reason I had gone about two blocks when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time. The name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his name.......... 'Congressional Medal of Honor Society.' I sat there motionless looking at the card and reading it over and over. I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together, because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage and an honor to have been in his presence. Remember, OLD men like him gave you FREEDOM for America ... Thanks to those who served....& those who supported them. America is not at war. The U.S. Military is at war. America is at the Mall. If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them! Remember, Freedom isn't Free, thousands have paid the price so you can enjoy what you have today. LET'S DO THIS, JUST 19 WORDS: "GOD OUR FATHER, WALK THROUGH MY HOUSE AND TAKE AWAY ALL MY WORRIES; AND PLEASE WATCH OVER AND HEAL MY FAMILY AND PLEASE PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS AND WATCH OVER OUR TROOPS WHO ARE DEFENDING THOSE FREEDOMS. AMEN"

  2. I don't know who Enoch8 is, but he has some interesting information, in my opinion. Thanks, UR What needs to be done, to RV? There has been many clues. My purpose here, is to examine facts and separate facts from fiction. There is so much disinformation, it can be frustrating, to be sure. I like to take a bit of a pragmatic approach, but as many do, it is hard not to get caught up in the prejudice of desire, over reality. So, what is Real? What is Fact? What is Fantasy? I personally am satisfied, to the complete viability of a high exchange rate. That has been a personal quest over the last 7 years, especially over the past 8 months, to prove or disprove the possibilities. Many of us have listened to and researched enough to be convinced, that the viability of a high exchange rate, is not just possible, but is a likely event. My personal research and analysis on the subject of a rate, makes me believe, it will be fantastically profitable. So, satisfied, to a large extent, the rate will be great...... I would like to offer some perspective on realistic potential for a time-line to RV. What do we look for? OK...... how about we start with what most of us have done.... with the typical US Bank and whether they will exchange IQD. First and foremost, it is important to understand that Iraq was lifted from the RED LIST of countries, noted in the IMF RED BOOK, under the category.... DO NOT REDEEM. That happened early in 2009.... they were lifted from that. Next.... it is important to understand what the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) shows. If I understand it right, Iraq as a country, is not on the OFAC Watch List, but it does show, Individuals and Groups of Individuals, associated with Iraq, on the OFAC Watch List. What does that mean? It has to do with Security and Economic Sanctions and Enforcement, such as FINCEN and Treasury Security. It has everything to do with US and World Banking economic sanctions, in an effort to combat International Crime, Terrorism and Money Laundering. It has also much to do with an effort to combat, escalation of and control of 'Rogue Regimes', and 'Weapons of Mass Destruction'. Chapter 7 UN Sanctions is not just about Iraq, but is also about who they affiliate with and how they cooperate within their borders and the policies they will have in friendly cooperation with the World Community. So? What does that mean to us? When do we get our money? OK.... In December 2009, Ban Ki Moon submitted a letter of recommendation to the UN Security Counsel, that he had prepared several months earlier, (Last May 2009, if memory serves me right). In that letter, it was suggested, that the UNSC would extend 1859 and was adopted, per Resolution 1905, that the UNSC Resolutions would be extended for 1 year. It was just released that Iraq would also have UNAMI extended until July 31, 2011. Last week, the UNSC resolved that Iraq must comply with, (In particular), Resolution 833, of Border Demarcation agreements with Kuwait, what the 1990 Gulf War was about, in the first place, (In part). It is reasonable to expect, that 1905 and UNAMI extensions, are part of the UN Chap 7 provisions. Does that mean they cannot RV under UNAMI? NO>>> but it does mean, they are still under close scrutiny, by not only the UNSC, but also, the International Atomic Energy Association and the OFAC, as well. How do they resolve that? It was suggested, that it would help, if they would resolve the election stalemate and get down to business of the new government. So.... 1. Seat the Government and nominate the PM, the President and the 2 Vice Presidents of the Counsel. 2. Appoint the new Ministry Officials 3. Come to agreements on resolving the remaining external issues, in particular, the unresolved issues with Kuwait and Border Demarcation.... (IMHO, the rest will come together, once that is done. Internal issues are the business of Iraq and not of the UN. 4. The order from the Ministry of Finance, with instructions to the CBI, for revaluation, and submitted to the IMF for approval.... (I believe the discussions and agreements are in place, but have not been enacted.....so it will take the order from the MOF/ MOP of the GOI, and may be needed to pass Parliament or some form of Executive Order.... not sure which, but the order must happen, in some form). If that all takes place, then OFAC and IMF will upgrade the status and Iraq will be returned to it's previous International Status. So.... the big question is this: Realistically, how long will that all take? How much of it is already done? I would say, there are agreements, that are already hashed out.... but there is a process, that will take some time. IMO..... this is not a matter of days..... but at minimum, weeks and more than likely, months. I personally do not expect it before the Sept. 14th UN meeting..... possibly not until after the bank reform to be completed Oct. 31..... but from what I am hearing may be delayed. Remember.... we are dealing with Banks. Just like if you were closing a deal on an escrow.... all I-s must be dotted and T-s crossed.... and even after all documents are agreed to and signed.... at the last minute after all parties are ready to settle escrow.... the bank ALWAYS wants more paperwork, that inevitably delays the deal. Banks will always hedge their bets to their own favor. I know that is not what we want to hear.... but it is at least some real perspective. Remember..... this investment is a process. It reminds me of the slow rolling 'Big Mississippi'..... she moves slowly.... but she does move forward. Eventually, we will get there. Remember.... this is just opinion. I just do not like it when good folks are mislead repeatedly by false hope, disinformation and illusion. It is not helpful to any of us, in fact is hurtful to some. The RV will come.... but sitting on the edge of the seat, every day for weeks and weeks, expecting the next bit of so called intel, to lead us to the bank on Monday, has given us all callouses on our back sides. I am weary of people building reputations and prestige off of the pain and anguish of others. There are enough used car salesmen and politicians in this world already. Some of the hypsters need to get a life and more importantly.... a productive job. DO NOT BUY MORE DINAR AT THE EXPENSE OF FEEDING YOUR FAMILY AND PAYING YOUR BILLS, JUST BASED ON THE LATEST INTEL! Just because he says it, does not make it so. Now..... I am certainly NOT saying an RV will not happen by Tuesday..... because there is absolutely no good reason for it to not RV..... except for the of rigid and stiff necked politics, self serving, and A retentive bankers and politicians. The fact as I see it.... it can happen at any time and there is no legitimate reason other than Juxta Politics, for it not to. But.... It ain't done until it is done. Got Perspective? ~ Read more:

  3. If you believe in the Bible, you may find this analysis of IRAQ very interesting. (Babylon). I know it is a long analysis, but IT MUST REBUILD BETTER THAN EVER in order to be destroyed in the end via the prophecy. We could make a considerable profit while this comes to pass. We may be at the start of this "massive" rebuilding as mentioned in the Bible. If you don't believe in the Bible, please don't hate me for posting this, just go read something else. Sorry the post is soooooo lengthy....... I found it VERY interesting, and learned some important things that I was unaware of. Just wanted to share it.. http://www.frankcaw.com/Babylon-Rebuilt.html Revelation 18:1-24 1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. 9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. 11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: 12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, 13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. 14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. 15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! 17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, 18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! 19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate. 20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. 21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. 22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; 23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. (KJV) Contextually-speaking, this great, wealthy city of Babylon is portrayed during a period of time immediately before its destruction, near the time of Armageddon itself. But, obviously such wealth would take time to acquire — a city such as the one described here does not pop into existence overnight. Moreover, it is likely that such impressive wealth and commercial influence would be acquired primarily during the period of peace and prosperity that will exist before the pre-tribulation Rapture takes place. Therefore, since there will NEVER be any peace and prosperity for the world AFTER the Rapture occurs, it is reasonable to assume that Babylon will be rebuilt and accumulate most of its wealth BEFORE the Rapture. So, it is quite interesting to observe that Saddam Hussein commenced the restoration and rebuilding of ancient Babylon several years ago in an attempt to recapture ancient empire glory while also discrediting biblical Christianity — supposedly because the Christian Bible allegedly predicts Babylon will never be rebuilt. Thus, on that basis, the recent rebuilding efforts in Babylon could represent the initial, literal fulfillment of a very sensational biblical prophecy that will achieve its complete and dramatic fulfillment under the rulership of Antichrist, the future “king” of Babylon. (Isaiah 14:1-10). Therefore, we must conclude that this biblical prophecy concerning Babylon was never intended to symbolize a country or some other city as some would have us believe; instead, it is a literal city coming to life before our very eyes! The Bible also predicts that the final condition of Babylon will be similar to that of Sodom and Gomorrah, namely complete and utter desolation as a result of massive amounts of fire and brimstone. (Isaiah 13:19) (Jer. 50:40). Obviously such destruction has never happened, yet. Moreover, according to various biblical scriptures, this final cataclysmic destruction must occur near the time of Armageddon, during the great and terrible Day of the Lord, when the entire world will be punished for their evil: Isaiah 13:1, 4-6, 9-11, 13, 19 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see... The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of THE KINGDOMS OF NATIONS GATHERED TOGETHER (i.e., Armageddon): the Lord of hosts mustereth the host of the battle. They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. Howl ye; for THE DAY OF THE LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty... Behold, THE DAY OF THE LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land DESOLATE: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. FOR THE STARS OF HEAVEN AND THE CONSTELLATIONS THEREOF SHALL NOT GIVE THEIR LIGHT: THE SUN SHALL BE DARKENED IN HIS GOING FORTH, AND THE MOON SHALL NOT CAUSE HER LIGHT TO SHINE. AND I WILL PUNISH THE WORLD FOR THEIR EVIL... Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the DAY OF HIS FIERCE ANGER... And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. (KJV) If we read and interpret this passage of scripture literally, it states that when obvious signs of Christ’s Return are seen in the heavens, then the city of Babylon, which once was the “glory of kingdoms” and the “beauty of the Chaldees excellency” during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, “shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.” In spite of this very plain, explicit wording, however, some people insist on interpreting the word “Babylon” in a figurative or symbolic sense so that it can represent New York City or the United States in prophecy passages such as this one. They pursue this line of reasoning even though this scriptural passage states very clearly that the “Babylon” portrayed in this scripture is the Babylon that was ruled over by King Nebuchadnezzar and the Chaldeans in the ancient land of Babylon, now modern-day Iraq. However, as we demonstrated earlier, there are basic, fundamental reasons why we should be interpreting biblical passages such as this one in a sensible, literal manner. Therefore, the Babylon portrayed in Isaiah 13 at the time of its destruction, just before the Battle of Armageddon commences, will be the Babylon that was geographically located in ancient Babylon, now modern-day Iraq, and was ruled over by Nebuchadnezzar and the Chaldeans. Jeremiah 51:59-64 59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince. 60 So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon. 61 And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words; 62 Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever. 63 And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: 64 And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary.... (KJV) The above passage of scripture clearly corroborates Isaiah 13 when it predicts that the final destruction of the city of Babylon must occur at the geographical location of the Babylon that was familiar to both Seraiah and the prophet Jeremiah. In other words, they both understood Jeremiah’s prophecy as one that applied to the Babylon they knew, not to some city or country that would exist someday, in the far distant future, on the other side of the world. Moreover, it predicts that this Babylon must be destroyed through violence that will sink it just like a rock will sink when it is thrown “into the midst of (the) Euphrates” River, and that once Babylon sinks, it will never rise again. Furthermore, this prophecy also predicts that “none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.” So, without question, the preceding prophecies in Jeremiah 51:59-64 must apply to a rebuilt Babylon in our future that will be located near the Euphrates River in modern Iraq. Other scriptural proofs that confirm the ancient city of Babylon will be rebuilt are many. For example, Babylon will never be inhabited again after its final destruction — a prophecy which obviously has never been fulfilled yet, since the city of Babylon is inhabited by people at this very moment. Likewise, Isaiah 13:20 predicts that Arabs will never dwell there after its final demise, and that neither will shepherds. But, in modern times, both Arabs and shepherds have been dwelling there. Similarly, both Isaiah 13:21-22 and Jeremiah 51:37 predict that wild creatures of the desert will dwell around its desolate edges after its final and complete destruction. Jeremiah 51:26 also predicts that the stones of Babylon will never be used again for building purposes AFTER the final destruction of Babylon, but they are being used now. In all of these prophecies we have just mentioned, the context clearly indicates, in each instance, they refer to the Babylon that was geographically located in ancient Babylon, thereby precluding the possibility that these scriptures could be focused on a symbolic Babylon located elsewhere: Isaiah 13:19-22 19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. 20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. 21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there. 22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged. (KJV) Jeremiah 51:26, 29, 37, 42-43 26 And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD. 29 And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant. 37 And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwellingplace for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant. 42 The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof. 43 Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth... (KJV) Jeremiah 50:39-40 39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation. 40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein. (KJV) As we observed earlier in Jeremiah 51:59-64, Babylon must be thrown down with great violence so that it will sink like a rock will sink when it is thrown into the Euphrates River — something that has never happened yet. (Cf. Rev. 18:21). In fact, a survey of Babylon’s history will show it was never destroyed in the various ways described in scriptures, and that its modern-day condition was simply the result of continued neglect and decay throughout the last several centuries of time. Actually, Babylon was a populated city during the time of the apostles (I Peter 5:13), and was still existent five hundred years after Christ when the Jewish academies located there produced the Babylonian Talmud. Furthermore, the site of ancient Babylon will be one of the openings to the eternal “lake of fire” soon after Babylon’s final destruction: Revelation 19:2-3, 20 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great *****, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (KJV) Revelation 14:9-11 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (KJV) Isaiah 66:22-24 22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. 23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. 24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. (KJV) Isaiah 34:8-15 8 For it is the day of the LORD’s vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. 9 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch. 10 It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever. 11 But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.... (KJV) Jeremiah 49:13, 17, 18, 33 13 For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes. 17 Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof. 18 As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it. 33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man dwell in it. (KJV) Zechariah 5:5-11 predicts that a symbolic “wicked woman” (i.e., Mystery Babylon; Satan’s church) will literally FLY (by aircraft) to the “land of Shinar” (i.e., ancient Babylon; Iraq) to establish its new religious headquarters (i.e., “to build it an house”). Obviously this extraordinary biblical prophecy has never been fulfilled, so it must represent a future fulfillment: Zechariah 5:5-11 5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth. 6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. 7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. 8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof. 9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven. 10 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah? 11 And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base. (KJV) “Ephah.” The ephah basket measured at about one bushel and three pints. Accordingly, in this biblical prophecy, the basket symbolizes the economic and financial system that will support and undergird the empire of the Antichrist. Moreover, because it carries the wicked woman inside of it, the combination of these two symbols represent the close alliance and collaboration that will exist between the economic and religious systems within the empire of Antichrist. That is why we should not be surprised to see the rebuilt city of Babylon become the religious headquarters for the Antichrist while also functioning as a center of world trade and commerce during the “time of the end.” Evidently the melding of financial power and religious power and influence, combined with the miraculous abilities and prestige of the Antichrist, will simply overwhelm the sensibilities and intellectual honesty of most people. Thus, the rebuilt city of Babylon, the economic system, will coexist with Mystery Babylon, the religious system, at the same geographical location in modern-day Iraq. “Wicked Woman.” As we will demonstrate in chapter 4 of this book, the symbolic “wicked woman” represents the mysterious, ancient Babylonian cult beliefs and rituals that dominated, or will dominate, the seven biblical world empires that oppress Israel at various times throughout her history. Because Satan is super intelligent and quite devious in his methods, these vile pagan and occult beliefs and practices dominated the religious beliefs and activities that prevailed in the ancient biblical world empires. Since it is more difficult for people, generally, to discern the true nature of false religious beliefs if they are blended in with significant amounts of perceived truth, that is precisely the strategy which Satan frequently employed, and will employ, to deceive people spiritually. “Talent of Lead.” A talent of lead weighed over 122 lbs., which was an extreme amount of weight for a lid covering the top of an ephah basket. Even so, despite the unusually heavy weight of the lid, that still did not hold the “woman of wickedness” down, thus illustrating the power of evil. “Two Women.” It is possible that the “two women” who carry the “wicked woman” to Babylon represent two major world religions, perhaps Islam and “professing” Christianity consisting of Roman Catholicism and mainline Protestant denominations. “Wings.” The “wings” probably refer to the mode of travel employed when the “wicked woman” is transported to rebuilt Babylon, i.e., air-travel by modern airplanes. As further corroboration of our interpretation of Zechariah 5:5-11, a careful analytic comparison of both Revelation 17 and 18 establishes the singular fact that “Mystery Babylon” (i.e., Satan’s church) and the city of Babylon will be located geographically at the exact same place near the time of their final and complete destruction. Here are excerpts: Revelation 17 “The judgment of the great ***** that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication (spiritual unfaithfulness).... and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy.... And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus... And the woman which thou sawest is that great city....” (KJV) Revelation 18 “For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, AND THE MERCHANTS OF THE EARTH ARE WAXED RICH THROUGH THE ABUNDANCE OF HER DELICACIES... Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins... “Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: FOR STRONG IS THE LORD GOD WHO JUDGETH HER. And the kings of the earth who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, alas, alas, that great CITY Babylon, that mighty CITY! for in one hour is thy judgment come. “And the MERCHANTS of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls... and SOULS OF MEN.... Alas, alas, that great CITY, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls.... “And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, what CITY is like unto this great CITY! ...for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; FOR BY THY SORCERIES WERE ALL NATIONS DECEIVED. And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” (KJV) Jeremiah 51:6-8 6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence. 7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. 8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. (KJV) One final reason which proves the ancient city of Babylon must be rebuilt at its original geographical location in modern Iraq is the prophetic prediction that the final overthrow of Babylon will be followed by “blessings” upon the nation of Israel. Furthermore, Isaiah 14:1-10 very clearly indicates that these blessings will be bestowed upon the nation of Israel during the Millennium, which will commence immediately after the demise of Antichrist, the king of Babylon, and their oppressor. (Isa. 13:19-22) (Isa. 14:1-10) (Jer. 50:4-7, 20). Isaiah 14:1-10 1 For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. 2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors. 3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve, 4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! 5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers. 6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth. 7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. 8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us. 9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. 10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? (KJV) So far, we have established in several scriptural analyses above that the ancient city of Babylon must be rebuilt at its original geographical location in modern-day Iraq. However, although the following scriptural references in Revelation can not likewise be used to prove conclusively that ancient Babylon will be rebuilt, they do provide interesting insight as to how rebuilt Babylon will be totally destroyed forever, near the time of Armageddon. For example, the rebuilt city of Babylon must be destroyed “suddenly” and in “one hour” of time. (Isa. 13:19) (Jer. 50:40) (Jer. 51:8) (Rev. 18:8-10, 17-19) (Isa. 47). Also, Babylon must be burned with fire, something which likewise has never happened, yet. (Rev. 17:16-18) (Rev. 18:8-10, 18) (Rev. 19:1-3). Additionally, Babylon must be destroyed by an earthquake, which never has happened, and that earthquake must occur during the seventh plague, just before Armageddon and the Return of Christ. (Rev. 16:16-21). Finally, the soldiers of Antichrist must destroy Babylon with fire, very possibly even with a bomb. (Rev. 17:16-18) (Rev. 18:15-17, 21) (Jer. 51:59-64).

  4. Iraqi Government: We will go out of the seventh item and look for an alternative to protect our money Arbil, The Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, said Iraq will come out of the wrath of the seventh item soon, warning that the Iraqi government is looking for an alternative to the United Nations for the protection of the fund for support of Iraq., Noting that Iraq had taken several measures paid for the first time to be the report of the United Nations Secretary-positive. The Nuri Shaways in a television interview with Al-Iraqiya semi-government, on Saturday evening, said "the government was holding activities to find a replacement for the Protection of the Development Fund for Iraq's assets which is subject under the auspices of the United Nations and convert it entirely to the supervision of the Iraqi side, while maintaining a mechanism to protect this money." The CPA was a U.S. civil administration which took over the running of Iraq after 2003, has established a Development Fund for Iraq in order to raise funds from oil exports and petroleum products, natural gas and frozen Iraqi assets and surplus from the oil for food program administered by the United Nations and the spending on the benefit of Iraqis. The Fund was established with the consent of the UN Security Council. He cautioned Shaways that "Iraq has provided this year several reports to the United Nations and through ongoing work is continuing and sequential," and has said "there was a problematic certain we solve the remnants of the oil and food, including claims of U.S. citizens and U.S. companies for damages." Shaways and chaired the committee monitoring the overall implementation of the strategic framework agreement between Iraq and the United States in the field of economy and energy, which includes the Governor of Central Bank of Iraq and advisers in the Iraqi government. He pointed out that "actions had led for the first time in more than seven years to be the report of the UN chief positive about Iraqi activity in this matter." Shaways and "The last UN report the price of an Iraqi role that has been in the last period", "warning that" will lead to closer cooperation between Iraq and international actors to lead to solutions that are in favor of Iraq. " He added: "We will go out of the seventh item or find an alternative protected 100% this year, and will not exceed it next year." The report of the audit of the accounts was distributed at last month reported that the Pentagon can not determine the exact fate of 8.7 billion dollars of the 9.1 billion total funds in the Development Fund for Iraq from the funds of Iraqi oil and gas allocated to the humanitarian needs and reconstruction after 2003, received by the ministry for reconstruction activities in Iraq. " The report spoke of what he called Baltsep in the management of some of the billions of dollars earmarked for rebuilding Iraq after the war, at the time of the population is suffering from a shortage of supply of electricity and other basic services. The move by the Iraqi government to restore the management of the fund now in the process carried out by the earlier, and had asked the Pentagon re-funds the Development Fund for Iraq at the end of 2007, but the audit revealed that some entities of the Ministry was still holding money from the Fund but spent in some cases . Iraq relies almost entirely on oil revenues to rebuild the infrastructure destroyed by years of war and economic sanctions, the oil sector provides more than 95 percent of the general budget of the State. http://articlesofinterest-kelley.blogspot.com/2010/08/looking-good-iraq-chapter-7-iraqi.html

  9. Hardtop, is all this profanity necessary?? I mean really, this is a nice place, perhaps you would want to help keep it that way. Someplace where you would be proud to send your Mom and say "look here Mom, at what is written", and not be ashamed. A friend of mine used to look at me when I was young and say, " I wonder if you kiss your Mother with that same mouth". I have in fact used this myself since I grew up. Please think about it.. Just my opinion........

  11. I read the posts and I don't see people saying that we are pissing our money away. What I do read is people saying not to spend money you don't have, don't spend food and rent money on buying Dinars. That this is an investment and a risk and not and end all to your problems and they are right. There are a lot of people out there buying Dinars with money they don't have. JMO

  12. Hoodlion, I can understand that it may look like Obama bashing and quite frankly some is. But that does not mean the bashing is undeservered. Much of what I read related to Obama's own words and actions toward Islam. None of which can be blamed on GW Bush. Please remember, that in looking towards the future, and everyone's hoped for wealth from an RV, tax policies will be discussed. Obama's tax plans come up as a point of interest, as do his foreign policies, particularly those with the middle east, and therefore Muslims. It is not only in this forum that Obama's popularity is falling, but in our country at large as well. I believe, that by the nature of this investment, all of us are taking a more in depth look at the economy and foreign policy than many other Americans. If the President is falling so quickly in the polls with the uninitiatated, is it any surprise that he is falling so much more rapidly here? Also, the majority of Obama articles that I have read are posted in the "Off Topic" section, if you are unhappy reading about Obama, and complain of inclusion on a currency site, you may wish to stay in the Dinar related forums. Of course, this is only my very humble opinion.

  14. In the nightmare I found myself nude in bed, and I was looking at a mirror on the ceiling, and I discovered that I am a *****, and I'm circumcised! Quickly I sat up, found my pants and looked in the pockets to find my driver's license photo and it was that same color, black. I felt myself being very depressed, downcast, sitting in a chair. But - it's a wheelchair! That means, of course, besides being black and Jewish, I'm also disabled! I said to myself, aloud 'This is impossible! It's impossible that I should be black and Jewish and disabled!' 'It's the pure and holy truth, sweetie,' whispers someone from behind me. I turn around, and it's my boyfriend. Just what I needed! I am a homosexual, and on top of that, with a Mexican boyfriend. Oh, my God . . . Black, Jewish, disabled, *** with a Mexican boyfriend, drug addict, and HIV-positive! Desperate, I begin to shout, cry, pull my hair, and Oh, nooooo . . . I'm bald! The telephone rings. It's my brother. He is saying, 'Since mom and dad died, the only thing you do is hang out, take drugs, and lay around all day doing nothing. Get a job, you worthless piece of crap . . . Any job!' Mom? Dad? Nooooooooooooooo . . . Now I'm also an unemployed orphan! I try to explain to my brother how hard it is to find a job when you are black, Jewish, disabled, *** with a Mexican boyfriend, are a drug addict, HIV positive, bald, and an orphan, but he doesn't get it. Frustrated, I hang up. It's then I realize I only have one hand! With tears in my eyes, I go to the window to look out. I see I live in a shanty-town full of cardboard and tin houses! There is trash everywhere. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain near my pacemaker . . . Pacemaker?? Besides being black, Jewish, disabled, a fairy with a Mexican boyfriend, a drug addict, HIV positive, bald, orphaned, unemployed, an invalid with one hand, and having a bad heart, I live in a crappy neighborhood. At that very moment my boyfriend approaches and says to me, 'Sweetie pie, my love, my little black heartthrob, have you decided what you are going to wear to Washington to see Obama?' Say it isn't so! I can handle being a black, disabled, one armed, drug-addicted, Jewish homosexual on a pacemaker who is HIV positive, bald, orphaned, unemployed, lives in a slum, and has a Mexican boyfriend, but please, Oh dear God, please don't tell me I'm a Democrat

  16. What are we waiting for? by Marcus Curtis This post is being typed on June 17 2010. We are currently still waiting for the revalue of the Iraqi dinar. Earlier this year Iraq has announced intentions to revalue its currency. Since that time many rumors have been circulating regarding when this will happen. What will the new rate be? Will Iraq be strong enough to stand on its own two feet? What are the conditions that will bring a revalue? Let me just touch on the conditions that need to be in place and squash a few rumors. First the new government needs to be seated. Second the prime minister and the president has got to be chosen and the new government needs to be formed. Third the budget will need to be addressed. Forth the United Nations needs to lift the chapter 7 UN sanctions against Iraq. When Saddam invaded Kuwait the United Nations imposed sanctions on Iraq. This also limited the trading of its currency. The Iraqi dinar is only used in Iraq today and it is not traded globally. This is in part because of the UN sanctions or UN chapter 7. When the government is finally established and the budget is addressed the United Nations will lift the UN chapter 7. This will allow the currency to be traded globally and give Iraq international status. You will be able to go to banks and trade in any Iraqi currency you have for American money. The new rate will be known once they address the budget. Some people have said that the UN sanctions do not need to be lifted for the currency to revalue. It would not do you any good to have a revalue and then have the sanctions in place. Do you want to fly to Iraq to trade in your Dinar? Would you exchange with an Iraqi currency dealer who does not need to compete with a bank? The good news is Iraq is operating like no sanctions are in place. They are receiving ships to port. They have been buying goods that are prohibited under the sanctions. They are building infrastructures that is limited under the sanctions. The UN is looking the other way. They want to lift the sanctions completely. They will not do so until the new government is seated and the budget is addressed. This is insurance just in case the government collapses and civil war breaks out. By the way this is one of the risks involved when buying Iraqi dinar. I do not think this will be the case. The new government is making progress. It is just extremely slow. We should be way past the point we are now, but hey…that’s politics for you. The RV will not happen until all four events take place 1 The new Government is seated 2. The government is formed and the prime minister and president is selected 3. They address the budget and announce the new rate 4. The United Nations lifts UN CH 7 Sanctions I still believe this will happen this year and Iraq will revalue. Step 1 has already been achieved. I know we should be done with all of this by now. The fact is it is just taking longer than expected. I believe we are close so I am adding a new section to this blog site called what happens after the RV. It will talk about all the things to do and be aware of when you exchange your money.

  17. Hardtop I have no rate or date my friend but rest assured that this will take place when you least expect it. There's a lot of good positive news out there that brings us one day closer to the forming of the government. That's the key IMHO. Some posts suggest there may be a government in place already and Irag is just not telling us. Be patient and don't worry about dates and rates. God Bless Semper Fi

  18. Where does Iraq fit into bible prophecy anyway? There are many references and chapters, but before I break it down for you I need to deal with some more pressing issues. It seems as though some people lost hope in their investment of the dinar after the events of this week. I have had some people ask me to clarify my comments on gold in the last post as well. So Let me address those items first then I will save the best for last. Iraq had until last Wednesday August 4th to get the government together and get everyone seated. They failed in that goal which could mean the UN will step in to help form this government. This in turn may lower the value of the dinar when it revalues, That is, IF it revalues according to some people. Let’s just address this. There are several factors that determine the value of a nation’s currency. They are 1. War Time. Is the country at war? That will quickly devalue a currency, especially if it is perceived that the country who’s currency is in question is not winning the war. 2. Inflation. If the country is caught in hyper or high inflation then the currency will devalue. This is due to the fact that to much currency is in circulation. 3. Over Printing If the country is printing to much currency then that will devalue the currency and cause inflation. 4. GDP If you take the total of consumer spending and investment, Government spending and investment, private business spending and investment, and exports minus imports you will get a number called Gross Domestic Product or GDP. This GDP contributes to the value of a currency. It is a reflection of the nation’s economy. 5. Fiat Currencies. If a currency is backed by a commodity such as Gold, Silver, or Oil then it is worth more. If the currency is backed by nothing then it is considered a fiat currency or faith based. Basically a fiat currency is a currency where you take the governments word for it’s value. This is the problem with currencies that are backed by nothing. You basically take the governments word in good faith of it’s value. 6. Unstable Government. If the government no matter what the type is viewed as unstable. The currency will be worth less. The more stable the government then the more the currency will be worth. All currencies are backed by the government they represent. And if there is a chance of civil war or unrest with the current regime. Then that will have a negative effect on the value of any currency. Out of all the things listed here Iraq’s main problem is the fact that the government has not been seated. The main problem seems to be the post of prime minister. There have been two people fighting for this post. The prime minister forms the rest of the government. Prime minister Nuri al-Maliki lost the election by a very narrow margin to Iyad Allawi. Since the elections in March Maliki has been using the courts to stall. While he has been contesting the results he has been recruiting support from elected blocks to stay in power. This fight has been going on since march 7th. I believe that had Allawi been seated then the RV would have already occurred, and we would all be done with this by now. The press is no help. It is really hard to figure out just what is going on over in Iraq. The only thing left to do is research the UN and its outer organizations. I spent some time to research organizations like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for documents concerning Iraq. Talk about looking for a needle in a hay stack. It is interesting to note that the UN has already anticipated this out come if it should happen. The IMF and the UN have provisions in place in the restructuring documents just in case the election did not go well. Iraq had until Wednesday august 4th to seat the government. There was a meeting held at the UN on August 4th. (UNAMI) Iraq basically ignored the UN’s basic instruction. FORM THE GOVERNMENT!! Most people feel that now the UN will step in and when it does the dinar will revalue lower because the government will be viewed as less unstable. Let me first say that you and I represent 10 percent of the dinar that is currently in circulation today. The other 90 percent of dinar is held by foreign governments outside of Iraq. The US is the largest dinar holder. There is way to much invested to let this whole thing go bad. The ambassador from Iraq (Bayati) specifically asked for ch 7 to be released. He talked about the “progress” they had achieved in the only 2 areas of sanctions against them: arms and money. Remember, Zebari is the Foreign Minister of Iraq. The guy we saw on the webcast is the ambassador to the UN from Iraq—his name is Bayati. In closed meetings, Zebari and Bayati were present—now Zebari is doing the talking. In the S/2010/403 document, Zebari provides additional info about Iraq’s steps to have the weapons/arms ban lifted. HE DOESN’T MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT MONEY. In S/2010/404, he officially “asks” for the UNAMI mandate to be renewed. He talks about security being improved and that efforts are being taken to form a government. All he said was he “hopes that the provision of assistance will be in accordance with specific mechanisms and with the prior approval of the Government of Iraq, in the manner referred to in my letter dated 6 August 2007. If the UNSC is forced to step in because Iraq can’t form a government, the RV can still happen. IRAQ’s MONEY IS NOT IN THEIR CONTROL REGARDLESS. The UNSC wants to let them grow up and act like true leaders–but if they don’t, Daddy can step in and manage their affairs–and money–for them. OK now lets look at some current news http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100805 UN calls on Iraq to take steps to end sanctions By EDITH M. LEDERER, Associated Press Writer Edith M. Lederer, Associated Press Writer – Thu Aug 5, 2:14 pm ET UNITED NATIONS – The U.N. Security Council called on Iraq Thursday to address all outstanding issues related to Kuwait, oil-for-food program contracts, and disarmament so it can cancel sanctions and more than 70 resolutions adopted after the 1990 invasion of Kuwait. In a resolution adopted unanimously extending the U.N.’s civilian mission in Iraq for a year, the council said it recognized “the importance of Iraq achieving international standing equal to that which it held” before the first resolution was adopted immediately after Saddam Hussein’s invasion. Iraq’s U.N. Ambassador Hamid al-Bayati told the council Wednesday that “the most important issue facing Iraq … remains to get rid of the burden” of resolutions adopted under Chapter VII of the U.N. Charter, which can be militarily enforced. U.S. Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg said canceling the resolutions is also “a priority” for the United States. “I’m encouraged by the steps that have been taken” thus far, he said in Washington. “There are some steps that Iraq itself needs to take.” Iraq still has outstanding issues with Kuwait, including demarcation of the border, accounting for 600 missing Kuwaitis and the $24 billion debt Baghdad owes Kuwait as reparations for the invasion. In May 2003, weeks after the U.S. invaded Iraq, the council lifted economic sanctions against Iraq, opening the country to international trade and investment and allowing oil exports to resume. In June 2004, it lifted an embargo on the sale of conventional weapons to the government. But there are still limits on some activities related to the possible production of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, and missiles with a range of more than 150 kilometers (90 miles) are still banned. The Security Council welcomed Iraq’s decision to adhere to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty’s additional protocol that allows unannounced inspections and reaffirmed the importance of Iraqi ratification “as soon as possible.” It also welcomed Iraq’s intention to join The Hague Code of Conduct against Ballistic Missile Proliferation. The council called on the Iraqi government “to take all other necessary steps to meet its outstanding obligations, including to work with due haste and diligence to close the oil for food program.” The $64 billion oil-for-food program, which ran from 1996 to 2003, aimed to ease the suffering of Iraqi civilians living under sanctions imposed by the council after the Kuwaiti invasion. It was the biggest humanitarian program in U.N. history, but a U.N.-sanctioned investigation found widespread corruption, involving thousands of parties, that bilked the program of $1.8 billion. Al-Bayati said a ministerial committee recommended paying 26 disputed oil-for-food contracts partially or entirely and to resolve the remaining 39 disputed contracts in the coming months. He said Iraq had expected — and still expects — the Security Council to lift all restrictions on disarmament, weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles because of the many steps the country has already taken. He cited a letter in March from the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency informing Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon of the government’s “excellent cooperation” on nuclear inspections. Al-Bayati said the government, in addition, has decided to voluntarily adhere to strengthened nuclear safeguards, adopt the additional NPT protocol, and set up a committee of experts to liquidate chemical residues from the country’s former chemical weapons program. It also decided to join the ballistic missile code and adopted “a strict mechanism” to control so-called dual-use items which can be used for both civilian and military purposes, he said. As for the outstanding issues with Kuwait, al-Bayati said that because of “the importance and sensitivity” of the issues, both countries have agreed to deal with them after the formation of a new Iraqi government. The Security Council resolution called on Iraq’s leaders to form a new and inclusive government “as quickly as possible” and stressed the importance of “political dialogue and national unity” to improve security in the country. U.S. hands over all combat duties to Iraq forces ‘Today is an extremely important day,’ says general; concerns still linger Thaier Al-sudani / REUTERS U.S. soldiers from the 4th Stryker Brigade 2nd Infantry Division carry flags during a ceremony of the departure of the U.S forces from the 6th Iraqi Army Headquarters in Baghdad on Saturday. By Serena Chaudhry updated 8/7/2010 11:51:27 AM ET Share Print Font: ABU GHRAIB, Iraq — The United States handed over control of all combat duties to Iraqi security forces on Saturday in a further sign that its withdrawal is on track despite a political impasse in Iraq and a recent rise in violence. President Barack Obama said last Monday he would stick to his promise to end U.S. combat operations in Iraq by August 31, with security being left in the hands of Iraq’s own U.S.-trained army and police. “Today is an extremely important day as we continue to progress toward turning over full responsibility to the Iraqi security forces,” General Raymond Odierno, top commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, told reporters after a departure ceremony for the last U.S. combat brigade. Seven years after the U.S.-led invasion to topple Saddam Hussein, Washington is reducing the number of troops in Iraq to 50,000 by Sept. 1 from just under 65,000 currently and close to 150,000 during the height of the conflict. During the ceremony, a division of the Iraqi army demonstrated vehicle checks and other security measures often employed in the war-battered country, where bombings and other attacks remain daily occurrences although overall violence has subsided since the conflict peaked in 2006-2007. While this was the last combat brigade to hand over control to Iraqi forces, there will still be six brigades left in the country after U.S. combat troops leave by the end of the month. The six Advice and Assist Brigades, which come into effect from Sept. 1 when the United States moves formally into an advisory role, will train and support Iraq’s army and police. OK now let me ask you, Does this sound like an unstable government? UNAMI has been unique in that an ocean of oil is at stake. There’s been a plan from the beginning.” So to make sure the plan succeeds, the UNSC has written and revised the rules as they went along. When it became clear that Iraq was being drained dry by crooks, The UNSC implemented oversight mechanisms for the money–these oversight mechanisms are in place until Dec 31, 2011. To complete this move by Maliki to buy a home and a farm in the rural area of British (40) without only, Mrs. Mary Peterson by auctioneer Mohammed Abbas al-Musawi amount (35) million pounds sterling Amol and the amount of (3) million pounds sterling, at a total package (3 million pounds sterling a Maevouk amount of 50 million dollars. The Anaib son, Ahmed al-Maliki to complete the deal. It is worth mentioning that Ahmad Ibn Nuri al-Maliki had bought the hotel in Syria earlier because he was working in when his father was working in the sale rings and rosaries area Zeinab in Damascus, Syria during his escape. It seems as though Maliki is looking for a way to escape without being prosecuted. More will probably be reported on this later. In short, all hope is not lost!! Keep the faith! There is more at work here than what you know! OK Now on to Gold. My main point in my last post concerning gold is this. When the dinar revalues it will stabilize the dollar. This is due to the dinar holdings of the USA. If the Dollar stabilizes then gold will drop. This drop will only be temporary because the USA is over spending and over printing. My main point is not to buy gold right away but wait until after the revalue hits and gold finds it’s bottom. Then invest in gold because gold will go back up. You will get a bigger bang for your buck that way. Some dinar dealers will offer to exchange gold for dinar. If you do this and gold drops you will lose money. You may be stuck paying higher taxes as a result. I told you about Iraq being a nation listed in the last days according to biblical prophecy. I am not going to take the time here to go into detail. I will do an entire post with the information, but I will give you something to think about. When ever you read about Babylon in the Old Testament you are reading about an old city in ruins. This city is in Iraq today. It was an empire long ago. So when you think Babylon, think of Iraq today. Now read Isaiah chapters 13 and 14, Jeremiah Chapters 50 and 51, and Revelations Chapters 17 and 18. I will explain everything in the next post. It would be helpful if you read the background in the bible about Babylon. The next post will make more sense to you.

  19. Neither......................Political is what I think.................. Islam is a culture not just a religion, and in that culture is Government, Politics, Religion. In this country seperation of church and state is the law for all religions. Every time a Mosque is opened, were not only letting their religion in but also their government and politics. they don't Assimilate into the American culture, but just the opposite. History tells us Christians and muslims have been fighting for centuries. If you trace the roots of both, you will find that Ishmael is the father of Islam, the illegitimate son hagar. Isaac the father of christianity the son of Abraham and Sarah has GODS blessing. Ishmael did not. so you have a case of GOOD versus evil but when good loses faith in GOD evil is aloud to creep in.

  21. I am a disabled Veteran and I get a NICE pension (Gov't entitlement)..Does this include me???I also get social security because I fought for idiots like you to be able to make dumb A$$ statements like you have just made! My advice to you would be to go to Iraq or Afghanistan and make a sacrifice with your life before you decide to make a statement like that. I also had to take food stamps and I was welfare when I was put out because of my injuries so that I could continue to care for my family. Thank god for that because I had to wait for two yrs to get my entitlements. I don't think that people should remain on welfare or food stamps, but it is a good system to help people to get back on their feet.

  22. Ladies and Gentleman - If they do not get this right the US will be back to 150,000 troops while fighting another war. Think about what that will do to our already fragile economy, Think about what that will do to your tax base, And more importantly: Think about all those soldiers and civilians who gave their lives and/or are maimed permanently in the name of Democracy. Ladies and Gentleman, it is high time to stop thinking of yourselves and selfish needs and desires and to realize the bigger picture here. I will always support our military, always. But I do not want to go back to Iraq to fight another WAR!!!! Respectfully, Jon USN - 8 years USCG - 5 years Disabled Veteran

  24. I am not sure which is more confusing, the original post, or the varying comment that it seems to elicit. I am not sure why it is so necessary for everyone to just bash. Do you have no life? Are you just so insecure in your investment. Do you live in some delusion where you think that you just know more than everyone else? I am beginning to think we need a thread just to get some insight to this. It is surely becoming a real problem.. Respect has been earned by many with their postings. Others are trying to earn the same. If you can't be a positive part of this, perhaps it would be better to just not respond.. This is just the opinion of one person, at this time, but I do believe I am not the only person who feels this way.. Thanks to all that post for us, whether it be newsworthy, rumor, or just humor.. Thank you..............

  25. Iraq: Al-Dawa Party 'Unanimously' Vote to Drop Al-Maliki 15/08/2010 By Rahmat al-Salaam and Sherezad Sheikhani Baghdad, Asharq Al-Awsat- Informed sources within the National Alliance that traditionally included the Iraqi National Alliance [iNA], led by Ammar al-Hakim, and the State of Law Coalition [sLC], led by Nuri al-Maliki, the Prime Minister whose term has expired, said that the Al-Dawa Party has unanimously decided to choose an alternative for Al-Maliki as a candidate to head the next government. Al-Hakim's alliance stopped its negotiations with Al-Maliki's coalition over a week ago and demanded changing Al-Maliki and submitting a candidate who is acceptable by the components of the National Alliance, particularly the Al-Sadr Trend and the other blocs as a condition for resuming the talks. The sources said that the name suggested as an alternative for Al-Maliki has thus far not been decided, but hinted that the candidate "will exclusively be from the Al-Dawa Party" and that Al-Maliki "has shown leniency in this respect for the first time." A prominent leader in the National Alliance who spoke to Asharq Al-Awsat on the condition of anonymity said that, "We are waiting for an official announcement on this subject before we announce our position on it." It is noteworthy that the Al-Sadr Trend, in particular, has announced its reservation on any alternative candidate from the Al-Dawa Party. It is not clear if it will accept this important concession by the Al-Dawa Party. Meanwhile, the sources disclosed that "there is a desire by the independents within the SLC to find an alternative for Al-Maliki, however none are willing to present themselves as an alternative, since Al-Maliki received the majority of votes of his list, which gave the chance for many (about 25 members of his coalition) to win seats in the new parliament." For his part, Amir al-Kinani, secretary general of the Ahrar bloc, which is affiliated with the Al-Sadr Trend, said that the SLC is "obliged to change Al-Maliki". In a statement to Asharq al-Awsat, he stressed that "Rejecting Al-Maliki is something final for the National Alliance." He added: "I think that time is over for the SLC, particularly since the dialogues of the INA and the Al-Iraqiya Bloc, led by Iyad Allawi, have reached serious and advance stages, therefore, it is not easy to change our position and our negotiations with Al-Iraqiya." In the meantime, Sami Shurash, member of the Kurdish negotiation delegation in Baghdad, said that "the delegation has presented a plan for the leaders of the Iraqi political blocs with the aim of ending the crisis of forming the next government. The coalition of the Kurdish blocs is waiting for the reply of the leaders of these blocs on the proposal to start forming the political alliances that ensure the formation of a national partnership government and ridding the country of the suffocating crisis caused by the delay in forming the government." He told Asharq Al-Awsat that the proposed plan "calls for the distribution of the executive branches of government on the prime minister, the premiership, and the presidency of the Political Council and National Security, in addition to some sovereign ministries." He added: "In case this plan is accepted, which will divide the authority and will not keep it in the hands of one person, it would be possible to start decisive negotiations to form alliances between the Iraqi forces and blocs in a way that ensures the formation of a national partnership government that includes all parties without marginalization or exclusion." Shurash said that "the acceptance of the leaders of the political blocs of the Kurdish plan would be the basis on which the coalition of the Kurdish blocs will decide its stand on the next political alliances." Meanwhile, the two leaders, Jalal Talabani and Masud Barzani, discussed the crisis of forming the Iraqi Government in a meeting held in Arbil on Friday. The meeting was attended by Nejervan Barzani, deputy president of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and Kusrat Rasul Ali, deputy secretary general of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. The two presidents emphasize the importance of forming a real national partnership government that includes all the Iraqi political blocs and parties http://www.aawsat.com/english/news.asp?section=1&id=21971

  26. Dinar Exit Strategies: Create a Family Foundation I've created this thread to encourage those with experience re: the pros/cons of Family Foundations to post here. I have done a bit of research on the issue and thought that by sharing my plans here, others might benefit from the discussion as well. We're all looking to reduce any tax burden created by newly-created worth (we hope) will occur. Here we go... I'm eager to pay off credit cards and home/personal loans using 10% of my dinar stash (lucky for me, we just passed the one year mark on my initial purchases so I'm looking at the long term capital gains rate of 15%!). Even at an initial RV of $0.01-$0.10, my debt-free dream becomes a reality. No debt=No worries. I plan to hold on to the remaining 90% until things pick up (time frame doesn't matter 1 month - 5 years). At this point all my dinar holdings will have been acquired over 12 months ago, so I'm only looking at LT capital gains (15% plus state CG rates). As OK_Tax_Lawyer has stated so well, why pay even 15% if you don't need to? I agree. I've been researching the creation of a 501c3 (tax exempt charitable) Family Foundation. I understand that it can take the IRS several months to approve this status, and a minimum of $5000 is typically required for an initial investment. There are many organizations that can setup/manage such a fund (do a Google search, talk to your CPA/Tax Attorney/CFP to learn more). I wouldn't manage the Foundation myself, but I can direct to which charitable organizations interest earned on plan assets is donated. At about the same time, I plan to have a Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) created to provide a lifetime income for my family (see discussion of CRT here: http://www.investorsiraq.com/dinar-e...er-trust.html). I would hope in a year or two that 30% of my dinar purchase would have increased in value so I could transfer ownership of ~$2,000,000 to the CRT. I name my newly created Family Foundation as beneficiary. Heres where it gets interesting. Assuming the CRT is able to earn a 10% return, I can request that 5% is paid to me and my spouse until the last of us dies (5% on $2M is $100,000 the first year, and this amount increases by ~ 5% each year- nice inflation coverage!). The CRT purchases/owns a $1,000,000 last-to-die life insurance policy, naming our children/heirs as beneficiary. When BOTH my wife and I die, the CRT stops paying the annual income, our children receive the $1,000,000 life insurance benefit (tax free - divided equally), and our Family Foundation receives the "remainder" of the CRT assets. Assuming either my wife OR me live another 30 years, I would expect the initial $2,000,000 to increase in value to ~ $5-$10,000,000 by the time we leave this earth. But I still have 60% of my dinar available. Allowing maximum time for the dinar to appreciate (2-3 years? post GCC?), I would hope to transfer the physical dinars into the Family Foundation (no capital gains) and (God willing) have a separate $5,000,000 - $15,000,000 to preserve . A nice tax write off to boot! IRS guidelines specify that 5% average must be distributed as charitable contributions each year. Assuming a 10% return on the plan assets, this generates a return of $500K-$1,500,000 each year; the fund distributes $250,000-$750,000 each year to our family's favorite charities. To avoid conflicts of interest, we wouldn't manage the foundation ourselves (many groups/CFP's/tax attorneys can handle this), but we can specify to which charities the interest accumulation is distributed. I would probably start by giving $50K-$100K to dependents of our armed forces killed or disabled in Iraq and around the world who have defended this great opportunity we all have. Another $300K to fund tuition scholarships (indefinitely) for our church's school. Send another $50K-$100K to other non-profits for worthwhile causes, and I'm done (until next year when I get to do it all over again!). I could continue to do this forever, without touching the principal, and then leave the foundation for my wife and children to run upon my death. That's my plan. Anyone else?

  27. Try this one on for size dreedree: Subject Headaches The doctor said, 'Joe, the good news is I can cure your headaches. The bad news is that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition, which causes your testicles to press on your spine and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles.' Joe was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live for. He had no choice but to go under the knife. When he left the hospital, he was without a headache for the first time in 20 years, but he felt like he was missing an important part of himself. As he walked down the street, he realized that he felt like a different person. He could make a new beginning and live a new life. He saw a men's clothing store and thought, 'That's what I need... A new suit.' He entered the shop and told the salesman, 'I'd like a new suit.' The elderly tailor eyed him briefly and said, 'Let's see... size 44 long.' Joe laughed, 'That's right, how did you know?' 'Been in the business 60 years!' the tailor said. Joe tried on the suit it fit perfectly. As Joe admired himself in the mirror, the salesman asked, 'How about a new shirt?' Joe thought for a moment and then said, 'Sure.' The salesman eyed Joe and said, 'Let's see, 34 sleeves and 16-1/2 neck.' Joe was surprised, 'That's right, how did you know?' 'Been in the business 60 years.' Joe tried on the shirt and it fit perfectly. Joe walked comfortably around the shop and the salesman asked, 'How about some new underwear?' Joe thought for a moment and said, 'Sure.' The salesman said, 'Let's see... size 36. Joe laughed, 'Ah ha! I got you! I've worn a size 34 since I was 18 years old.' The salesman shook his head, 'You can't wear a size 34. A size 34 would press your testicles up against the base of your spine and give you one hell of a headache.' New suit - $400 New shirt - $36 New underwear - $6 Second Opinion - PRICELESS e dreedree

  28. HUMMMMM...You are NASTY but it was funny... Check this one out... Gonna Get Lucky A young man goes into a drug store to buy condoms. The pharmacist says the condoms come in packs of 3, 9 or 12 and asks which the young man wants." Well," he said, "I've been seeing this girl for a while and she's really hot. I want the condoms because I think tonight's "the night"." We're having dinner with her parents, and then we're going out. And I've got a feeling I'm gonna get lucky after that. Once she's had me, she'll want me all the time, so you'd better give me the 12 pack." The young man makes his purchase and leaves. Later that evening, he sits down to dinner with his girlfriend and her parents. He asks if he might give the blessing, and they agree. He begins the prayer, but continues praying with his head down for several minutes after everyone starts eating. The girl leans over and says, "You never told me that you were such a religious person." He leans over to her and says, "You never told me that your father was a pharmacist."

  30. Good post!! It's really about educating yourself before making ANY financial moves. Everyone needs to formulate a game plan and then execute it. As an example... here is my game plan: After RV but prior to cashing in: 1) Retain an attorney to set up family trust and financial instruments, so money is not under your personal name. 2) Meet with a certified CPA (who will work in conjunction with your attorney) on how to report this investment and options available. The reason I mention after RV for the above is looking ridiculous... the rate will not go anywhere, take your time and make prudent decisions. After cashing in under a trust my game plan is the following. Meet with at least 3 banking presidents and let them present their presentations to you for short term and long term growth. Someone mentioned Wealth Management and Private banking. The wealthy do get breaks on interest rates and can be guaranteed rates of return. Let the different Private Banking compete for your money! I also plan to meet with a couple of hedge fund managers in my city that have been very successful over the years. I may even hold back a few Dinars to invest in the very country that provided this windfall. Why? If you look at where the growth will be in the next 2 to 5 years, it's going to be the Middle East and Africa. These areas may be able to provide 15 to 20% returns on your investment. The US will have sluggish growth at best and are at risk for deflation. Bottom line is to diversify and not place all your risk in one investment. If our military continues to occupy Iraq for the for foreseeable future (which all indications look like) I would even entertain letting some of my Dinars grow in Iraq. I buy into the theory that the rate will gradually rise as Iraq's economic growth explodes and their oil production reaches it's potential. Therefore I believe it will come in around a $1 and float up as the economy improves. Therefore, why not keep some of our Dinars in Iraqi banks to grow with the rate? Of course... if it comes in at $3 plus that's a different story Just some more food for thought. Remember...form some type of game plan, so you're not running around with your head cut off and remember... one or two bad decisions could costs you hundreds of thousands in taxes if you're not careful! Good luck to everyone!!!!

  33. And maybe we should have something besides a paper voter registration card. Something that is important to get and necessary to have in order to vote. Like a passport, or even an enhanced Drivers license like Michigan has. And yes, you have to present all your papers in order to receive this documentation.. I think this would be great in many ways.....

  36. US to increase pressure on Iraqis for a new govt Sunday, August 15th 2010 1:49 PM Erbil, Aug. 15 (AKnews) - A Kurdish lawmaker in the Iraqi parliament said on Sunday that the current visit to Iraq by the U.S. assistant secretary of state for near eastern affairs is meant to increase pressure on Iraqi leaders to form a government before the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the country. Jeffrey Feltman arrived in Baghdad yesterday to hold talks with senior Iraqi leaders. Feltman’s visit comes as Iraqi political groups have been mired in a crisis for five months. Feltman landed in the Kurdish capital of Erbil today for talks with senior Kurdish leaders. “The U.S. goal is to put together a government before the withdrawal (of its combat troops), so that there will not be a security vacuum in the country,” said Dara Mohammed, a member of the Kurdistan Blocs Coalition that represents the Kurds in Baghdad. The U.S. is expected to withdraw all its combat troops from Iraq by the end of August. It will leave 50,000 non-combat forces behind to train and advise the Iraqi military until the end of 2011. Meanwhile, Mohsen Saadoun, another Kurdish lawmaker, said Iraq’s security has deteriorated considerably since March elections due to the failure of the country’s blocs to form a new government. “The visit by the U.S. delegation is part of Washington’s efforts to set up a new government soon so that the security and political situation will not deteriorate further. link Read more:

  37. I have no problem with Fishman's conclusion that Iraq will come to prominence in the last days, but as you have so well stated here, The Rev 18 passage is speaking of the world empire of false religion. Rev 18 is part of the overall pic, but cannot be included as referring to Babylon the city or even the re-emerging head of gold Iraq spoken of in Dan. 2

  40. Satan’s world—his organized human society—is made up of various closely connected parts. An important part is false religion. In the Bible false religion is represented as a “great harlot,” or prostitute, with the name “Babylon the Great.” She is a world empire, as shown by the fact that she “has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.” (Revelation 17:1, 5, 18) But what proves that Babylon the Great is a religious world empire? Since “the kings of the earth” are said to ‘commit fornication’ with her, Babylon the Great could not be a political world empire. And since the “traveling merchants” of the earth stand at a distance and mourn at her destruction, she is not a commercial world empire. (Revelation 17:2; 18:15) However, that she is really a religious empire is shown by the Bible’s statement that by means of her “spiritistic practice all the nations were misled.”—Revelation 18:23. Also proving that Babylon the Great is a religious empire is her relationship to a “wild beast.” In the Bible such beasts represent political governments. (Daniel 8:20, 21) Babylon the Great is described as “sitting upon a scarlet-colored wild beast . . . that had seven heads and ten horns.” She has thus been trying to exercise influence over this “wild beast,” or world government. (Revelation 17:3) And it is a fact that throughout history religion has been mixed up with politics, often telling governments what to do. She has indeed exercised “a kingdom over the kings of the earth.”—Revelation 17:18. So actually Babylon the Great is the world empire of false religion. Not an actual city.

  41. Guess I'm different than a lot of folks.I have shared this with many. Those I love mostly and friends and co-workers. First...I'm not worried about them sueing me or stealing from me. I advise them to just check it out and at the very least...pick up a 100,000 of them. I direct them to DV amd D Trade. Of course I don't tell them how many I have. My goal is not to gloat, but to give some people some hope. Then...I have given quite a few dinars away as it feels good to me. Gave a struggeling waitress 5,000 yesterday.(cost me about $8) Gave an old co-worker 10,000 for her birthday. She too is struggeling. Gave some to someone who has a son that needs VERY expensive medication every day to stay alive. And when this is done I intend to find a few veterans that need limbs and can't afford to do it. They gave us this opportunity after all and this voice in my head is telling me to help them.(GOD I presume.) Anyway...to those who aren't sharing...I feel for you. It's now time for us to stand up and BE SOMEBODY. We have all said we want to make a difference in the world...here is your chance. POURITFORWARD PS...Everyone you tell won't get the dinars but everyone you care about deserves to hear about them. And by the way...so far...they are right...it hasn't paid off. To each his own.

  42. Helloooo Nixon, Welcome to our dreams. Two terms are important to you: "nominal value" and "market value". The first means humanly managed which it currently is by Shabibi. He has held the nominal value at 1170 for over a year. We are all waiting on pins and needles for the later term...or RVed at a market determined rate. There are three ways we will see the new value: fixed, floating, or managed. Fixed means static for a set amount of time with zero movement. Floating means pure market driven with wild fluctuations...very scary for Iraq but possible. And managed which means value set including ceiling and floor for predetermined time. Most likely we will experience the last one...but that's an educated guess. So currently it has a nominal value...soon to change. Welcome to the family and enjoy the ride. Don't get too high or too low on posts and promises. The theif will come in the dark and VOILA. Also...don't get wrapped up in LOP talk. The last country that LOPPED their currency executed their minister of finance. That execution was ordered by the government. Shabibi likes his life.
