UN Operational Rate of Exchange website down since last night...

I noticed last night that the UN Operation Rate of Exchange website is down and I just checked and it is still down. Does anyone have any idea why and if this could mean anything?

Wow cool......Ive seen the site down for maintenance in the middle of the nite for a few hrs but not in the middle of the day....interesting stuff indeed!

Seems like it may have moved (computer guy here). Not sure what it looked like before, but I did a search with the UN site for 'operational rate of exchange' and got to this page which had rates as of November 15, 2011.

If you read that site. It states

This site is maintained only as a back-up site for the U.N. Operational Rates information distribution.

The official site for the U.N. operational rate is http://treasury.un.org/. Please check the official website for more information

So the offical site is still down for some reason.

That is just a backup site the original site is still down.

this is true. it could be the iraqi RV. or it could be maintenance. one of those may be more likely.

I go to this site at least once every day (usually several times a day) and have never known for it to be down for more than 2 - 4 hours. So I can say, yes this is unusual, which is the reason I brought the question to the forum.

usually when it is down for maintenance you get apage that states exactly that, so not sure what's up, but the "back-up site" is operational.

I am surprised to see that the website is still down. I hope when it comes back up we are all extremely surprised in a good way!

There is a rumor that the US Treasury department is in lock down. Anyone have any information?
