Have an odd request

Hi all, we just picked up a new dog. 7 week old pure bred Border Collie. Can't decide on a name. kind of leaning towards Shelby, but nothing written in stone. Any suggestions? PS its a she

When I got my one dog, it took me a week to name him. I looked and looked and would say names out loud to hear if they would fit him. It popped into my head one day while I was driving. I named him Cairo but with a K. My Kairo lived to be almost 14, which was quite good for a big dog but never enough time. Anyhow, congratulations and I love dogs, they add such joy. I have two myself:)

I lived in Australia for a while. They have lots of what they call cattle dogs there. I love Border Collie's they're my fav. Anyway, when I lived there, I met a few "Corrie's" (or you could spell it Cory). It has a tomboy ring, yet feminine. Hales from the name, Corinne, which means maiden. Just a thought.

I agree with using the atlas. Example - For a Norwegian Elkhound go with Oslo. For a Border Collie - which I believe is Australian, not sure, try Sydney or any other name you pick off the globe!
