I don't know why someone would give you a -1 just for posting a link so people can check things out for themselves. geesh! and from another closed thread, you said "when i post always a hater thats why its in rumors." I agree. I've been on this board for a while. Longer than a lot of the people posting. I just don't post much. But there's nothing I find more annoying than some noob who's been one for a day whining because there's no "proof" in the RUMOR section. The way these folks freak out and attack, I really think some of these people need professional help and/or medication. People need to chill when they read the rumors section. I've posted the definition more than once, so I won't do it again here. It seems to me you generally are a pretty chill guy.... until someone gets in your face. Why should you grovel in a corner when all you're doing is giving a link, or heaven forbid, your opinion!? I'm the same way. I like pretty much everyone, but if you start something with me because you think I'm a pushover, be prepared to finish it.... because I will. I'm confused. For the last year and a half, I've thought that uncontrolled inflation produced DE-valuations. What we want is little or no inflation for over a year (which is already the case) in order for the economy to be stable enough for the RV. Did I miss something?

Just for curiosity's sake, I would be interested in hearing what this same teller says on Monday. Love a good rumor. Updates welcome

The bank uses the auctions to set the exchange rate, which has been held at 1,170 dinars per dollar for many months. "To improve the functioning of foreign exchange auctions, we plan to develop organized exchange markets outside the central bank, including an interbank foreign exchange market," it said. "Our aim is to establish a forward market in Iraqi dinars in the near future."

Talion1011, Please let me say how GLAD I am to know that you are here! There are those who would claim that, if you "blindly" pay your taxes, you are "not thinking for yourself." But I would argue that all of these people who, because one delusional person says he has "proof," start thinking they don't have to pay taxes are truly the ones who are following the crowd. Talk about passing the kool-aid! You have intelligently researched and provided real proof in the form of IRS publications, links, court cases, etc. "Straight from the horse's mouth" as my dear departed grandmother would say. Over and over the courts have upheld "all income from whatever source." How are you going to argue with the Supreme Court? Seriously? If someone still thinks that they can do whatever they see fit after reading the IRS's own documents, and looking at the failed court cases, then I really can't feel sorry for them when they have to deal with the consequences of choosing to ignore what's right there in black and white. But that's the problem...very few, if any, are reading for themselves. ( I would say 'researching' for themselves, but you have done all the work for them ) It's amazing to me that one person says "dinar exchange can't be taxed" and that's all anyone want to hear. Don't dare say anything different or they jump all over you. It's the blind leading the blind. So, Talion1011, your effort and reasoning is very much appreciated. I truly hope people will take a step back and go over all that you have presented here (and as Den56 has pointed out, IRS Pub 525) and then find a good tax attorney. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being so level-headed, thought-ful and articulate. Zoomzoom: If you live in ANY society, your life and behavior is controlled and channeled the way others decide. Every single day people have to conform or they pay the price in some way. It doesn't matter whether it's here or in some remote village of the Amazon. There are rules/expectations/laws on every aspect of life, and there are consequences if they are broken. It sounds like you think the USA is horribly oppressive. If that is true, then why are people all over the world so desperate to get here? I welcome you to try someplace else if it's so bad here.
