Shafaq News / The Iraqi Security Media Cell announced today, Wednesday, work to close 9 electronic games that contribute to increasing societal violence in coordination with the Media and Communications Commission and the Ministry of Communications, while confirming that their promoters will be pursued by intelligence.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior and the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, “We approached the Communications and Media Authority and the Ministry of Communications about closing nine electronic games that increase societal and family violence and incite an increase in criminal motives.”

Merry added, "These games cause a huge waste of money through their development and modernization, and we will pursue their promoters through the intelligence services."

Many electronic games and social networking sites that support degrading content or promote societal criminal motives are widespread in Iraq, according to the Iraqi security services, while the Iraqi authorities have begun campaigns to arrest their promoters.

This is exactly what we need to do here in the US. These games are dangerous, devalue life, and stir harmful emotions - especially in the formative years. It is brainwashing and conditioning them. It desensitizes them to violence.
