Americanized name = Wilson.  Also known as Willson.  From Gunn lineage.  Ancient property owned somewhere between Glasgow and Endiburgh.

That's what I've been told.  I wear the ancient Wilson tartan but it's pretty close to the Gunn colors.  The Wilson tartan was developed in the 1700's from the Gunn tartan by Wilson Weavers - don't know if they're still in business or not.  Something I'd like to check out when I come to visit.
