ARTICLE:   Economist Hisham Al-Baydani explained that Iraq’s accession to BRICS is one of the solutions to diversify the sources of foreign currency within the country & be freed from American restrictions imposed, especially on the Dollar.

 

Al-Baydani told Al-Maalouma, “Iraq must be freed from the restrictions imposed by Washington on its sources of foreign currency, especially after the hints and statements of the American ambassador in Baghdad regarding more restrictions on the movement of the dollar.”  

 

He added, “The American restrictions imposed on Baghdad caused exchange rates to fluctuate, which affected citizens’ transactions in general, especially since there is demand for foreign currency in the local market.”  

 

He stated that “joining BRICS may be one of the solutions that could be a way out for Iraq, which is rich in oil resources, but is governed economically by a foreign financial policy imposed by the American administration on the Iraqi monetary authority.”

ARTICLE:  This is important & part of the De-Dollarization process & the sovereignty of their currency.  They are also converting old contracts to Dinar as well.  

Article:   “Iraq imposes dinar- only policy for domestic transactions”   They say they are going to honor contracts at the “exchange rate” and that rate can change…and is expected to …but they want to make certain that the framework for all the contracts get converted based on the official exchange rate.   This is huge and Iraq has made enormous progress.

Just for your information...

Iraq was approached by BRICS during their recent Summit, last month.

Iraq remains open to the idea & to distance itself from US dominance over it's economy.

Russia & China have been in Iraq signing defense armament deals.

Iraq is positioned to buy Russia made arms in one of the biggest arms deal, ever.

9-28-2023   Intel Guru MarkZ   [via PDK]  There is a lot of expectation for announcements sometime today...We have had some whales – in states without Wells Fargo banks –get contacted by out of state WF ‘s saying that they are prepared for them...So we are having a lot of scrambling at the banker level now who are chasing whales to make sure they get their business... Redemption folks are ready. They are on call and they are in and out of the office. They are waiting for the “GO”.  ...IMO things are ramping up … everything feels good and smells good and I think “Soon” actually means “Soon” for a change...
