 Baghdad: Omar Abdul Latif

Dr. Nasser Al-Asadi, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Transport Affairs, reported that a study had been prepared on how to operate Al-Faw Port and choose the optimal model for that. Al-Asadi said in an interview with Al-Sabah: “A meeting was held last Monday, in which the first phase of operating Al-Faw Port was discussed, which includes... Mechanisms and methods of operation and benefiting from existing expertise in the region, in addition to contracting with specialists in employment affairs.” He added, “There is a plan presented to the Supreme Committee to study it and involve all sectoral agencies present in the country, such as customs, border crossings, security, and the ministries of health, industry, minerals, standardization, and quality control in The Ministry of Planning, for the purpose of developing a complete program for the expected method of receiving goods coming from abroad and facilitating their entry into the country.”
