Today, Saturday, the representative of the coalition of Iraqis, Ali Al-Badairi, ruled out the parliamentary session for this day for several reasons.

Al-Badiri said in an interview with Al-Sumaria News, "The House of Representatives was scheduled to hold its session today within the new legislative term, but the general situation and the number of modest attendees does not give any impression that the session will take place for this day."

Today, Saturday, a parliamentary source said that the Presidency of the Council of Representatives decided to postpone the holding of the parliament session for half an hour.

The source said to Alsumaria News, "The Presidency of the House of Representatives decided to postpone the session scheduled for today, for half an hour."

A representative source said, on Saturday, the latest developments in the parliament session, which is currently scheduled to take place.
The source said in an interview with Mawazine News that "the session was postponed for half an hour because the quorum was not completed, and the number of attendees does not exceed 80 deputies."

A statement issued by the council’s media department, of which Al Furat News received a copy, stated that “Al-Halbousi opened the works of session No. 1”.

She pointed out that "the number of attendees reached 171 deputies."

At the beginning of the session, the parliament voted to add a paragraph to its agenda that includes (taking the constitutional oath).

(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The House of Representatives raised, on Saturday, its session to next Tuesday.
 

The media department of the House of Representatives said in a brief statement, "The House of Representatives decided to adjourn its session to next Tuesday."

At the beginning of today's session, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi announced hosting the Minister of Oil regarding the questions addressed to him by the Integrity and Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committees inside the Parliament Chamber in the next session. 

Al-Halbousi noted that the Presidency of the Council of Representatives will follow up with the Sectoral Parliamentary Committee to oblige the Ministry of Finance to implement the payment of farmers' dues in full to implement the budget law for 2021.

On the other hand, Deputy Rasul Radi Abu Hasna Asi was sworn in as a deputy in the Iraqi parliament, replacing the late Adnan Al-Asadi. 

The House of Representatives completed the report and discussion of the draft law on social security, retirement and workers.

The Council also discussed the repeated Zionist aggressions against the Palestinian Arab people.

In a televised interview, Al-Halbousi said, "The demands of the demonstrators are classified as rights. State institutions have not been obligated to meet them, and they must have a vision to implement them."
Al-Halbousi held the politicians who led the political scene in the Sunni regions until liberation responsible for "concealing the facts in the file of the absentees."
And that "bringing about a change in the sites gives a kind of renewal in political action."

According to the council’s statement, Al-Furat News received a copy of it, that Al-Halbousi instructed at the beginning of the session to inform the Minister of Oil to host him in the House of Representatives in the next session to answer the questions addressed to him by the Integrity and Oil and Energy Committees.
Al-Halbousi noted that the Presidency of the Council of Representatives will follow up with the Sectoral Parliamentary Committee to oblige the Ministry of Finance to fully implement the payment of farmers ’dues to implement the budget law for the year 2021. The
Council ended reading a report and discussing the proposal for the first amendment to the Foreigners Law No. 76 of 2017 submitted by the Labor and Social Affairs Committee And immigration and the displaced, which came in solidarity with the Palestinian people and to reduce the burden on refugees from the sisterly State of Palestine in Iraq.
The interventions of the representatives called for the support of the Palestinian refugees residing in Iraq by moving forward with amending the proposed law to address the situation of the Palestinians and their human rights.
On the other hand, Rasul Radi Abu Hasna took the constitutional oath in place of the late former MP Adnan Al-Asadi.
The Council discussed the repeated Zionist aggressions against the Palestinian Arab people.
The interventions during the session, partly headed by First Deputy Speaker Hassan Al-Kaabi, focused on praising the heroic and steadfast role of the Palestinian people in defending their legitimate rights and their resistance to the Zionist entity, stressing the steadfast position of Iraq and the activities that supported the Palestinian people in the face of brutal aggression.
Al-Kaabi also indicated that the Presidency of the Council was among the first to support the Palestinian cause by condemning the brutal aggression against the Palestinian people by sending a telegram to the Arab Parliament and calling for an emergency meeting, which was held virtually, as well as participating in the meeting of the Palestine Committee of the Union of Members Councils of the Cooperation Organization Al-Islami, which was held in the Iranian capital in support of the Palestinian cause, in addition to calling on the international parliament to convene to denounce this brutal aggression.
The Council continued reading the report and discussion of the draft law on social security and retirement for workers submitted by the committees of work, social affairs, immigration, immigration, financial and legal.
Representatives' interventions focused on the importance of legislating the law to support the private sector, calling for adding an article to grant authority to the Social Security Department to secure the health aspect of the private sector and reduce the ages of women and men covered, as well as obligating factories to have health insurance for workers.
The interventions indicated that the law helps in directing the unemployed to the private sector and not focusing on government jobs, especially after the law guaranteed a pension salary for workers in the private sector, calling for changing the name of the law to become social and health security for workers.
After that, it was decided to adjourn the session to next Tuesday, 1/6/2021.

He added, "The issue of Syriac should also be dealt with retroactively, as many citizens who did not get a job opportunity in the government sector at the age of for example 45 years or more, get a job and pay arrests to the guarantee fund retroactively in addition to the new years so that he will have 15 years." Yesterday, Saturday, the Presidency of Parliament decided to oblige the Ministry of Finance to implement the clause of paying farmers ’dues, included in the current year’s budget, during this week.
"The Presidency of the Council will follow up with the Sectoral Committee to oblige the Ministry of Finance to implement the clause of paying farmers' dues during this week," the House of Representatives media department said in a statement. The House of Representatives also finished reading a report and discussing the bill for the first amendment to the Aliens Residence Law. The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated that «the House of Representatives finishes the report and discussion of the proposed law for the first amendment of the Foreigners’ Residence Law No. 76 of 2017. Prior to that, the department said, that this came "for the sake of fairness to the Palestinian brothers and an expression of the Iraqi people's solidarity with the Palestinian cause and alleviating the burdens on refugees from the wretched state of Palestine."
Earlier, parliament held its session in the presence of 171 deputies, while its president, Muhammad al-Halbousi, who presides over the session, directed that Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar be hosted in the next session to answer questions addressed to him from the Parliamentary Integrity and Oil Committees.
