Baghdad today - Baghdad

Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy and Investment, Nada Shaker Jawdat, affirmed on Tuesday (16 June 2020) that the entities that are hitting the country's economy are internal, not external, while it revealed ways of blocking the industry in Iraq.

Jawdat said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "the countries of the whole world give importance and care to their local products, except for Iraq, which did not know how to protect its local product."

She noted that "Iraq has become a market for the exchange of products of neighboring countries, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Arab Gulf states."

She explained, "The party that is hitting the economy of Iraq is not external but rather an internal party. They are Iraqi politicians and wealthy people who have opened factories in Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Iran and Lebanon, and started obstructing any industrial process in Iraq to supply their products."

She added, "The dominant figures in the political scene aim first and last to satisfy their external loyalties."

She stressed "the need to protect the local product, close the borders, prevent the import of existing materials locally and impose a tax on the importer," noting that "in return this tax will be an income for the government, and the citizen will resort to local goods that are cheaper, prevent the scattering of hard currency and provide job opportunities."

Al-Sudani offers 4 proposals that need quick decisions to ensure that the salaries of employees are paid smoothly and without deductions

124819.jpg?watermark=4

Localities 06/1920 2020 22:30 1426

Baghdad today - Baghdad

Member of the House of Representatives and the former minister, Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani, revealed on Wednesday 6/6-2020, the size of Iraq’s debt and what he needs to provide salaries, while he put forward several proposals that he said he need a government decision and ensure that salaries are paid without deductions until the end of the year. "The current government is obliged to present the borrowing law, due to the expenses that relate to the salaries of employees, retirees and other eligible parties,"

Al-Sudani said in his speech to the program (Shortest Roads) , which is presented by the media, Dr. Nabil Jassem, on the (Sharqia) screen.

He continued, "The total debt of Iraq is 115 billion dollars, 72 billion external 41 due to the previous regime, and other external and internal debts 43 billion dollars," adding "I submitted a proposal to borrow 5 billion dollars to implement development projects that would, for example, stop importing Iranian gas and other imports and expenditures that cost the state Much".

He noted, "We currently need $ 15 billion in internal borrowing to pay employee salaries."

And on the current state treasury, Al-Sudani said that "the government of former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi delivered the government of former Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi and in the treasury 17 trillion dinars, while the last delivered the government of current Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, which has less than 300 million dinars," noting that " The volume of the total output in the year 2019 amounted to 235 billion dinars, which is an indication of the efficiency of the Iraqi economy and was not exploited by the government of Abdul-Mahdi. Waste and wrong economic policies occurred.

And he added, speaking about 4 solutions to secure salaries in a smooth manner and without deductions, "We have an important path that should be followed by a period of 6 months is how to provide salaries and the rest of the ruling expenses and we need quick measures, we presented a solution imposed by the Abadi government, which was going through the same current conditions to equal the salary deductions, which is tax opportunities 5" % Of the dollar amounts sold in the auction of selling the currency that goes for imports. This measure we implemented for 45 days, and we obtained in the Abadi government 500 billion dinars, which is equivalent to the deductions of the employees allocated in the government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi. "

"The powerful heads pressed hard to stop this measure, which paved the way to stop it," he added.

He continued, there is a solution that can be applied to provide important revenues for the state, including raising the price of oil derivatives and controlling revenue, and these provide 8 trillion dinars annually.

He continued: "If the government had implemented the principle of where did you get this with 100 corrupt personalities and investigated the sources of their funds, the people would have accepted deductions for salaries?" He said: "There are judicial orders on mobile phone companies amounting to $ 500 million and it is possible to collect them, and it has I submitted proposals to provide revenues to help the state in its financial crisis, and the matter requires a government decision. "

He added, "Also, revenue from the tax can be provided through the implementation of the tax law, commercial banks, banking and major clubs, and important companies that were not accounted for tax and favoritism, and because politics overlapped with money and business."

He pointed out that "the unemployment rate in Iraq increased from 14 to 20% and poverty to 30%, and we have in Iraq capital ready to bring in the requirements of any product that is specified, but on condition that the state protects it, and it is also shameful that Iraq imports everything", stressing that "

He stressed, "I think that the current government is in control of things and will be able to overcome the financial crisis through two facts. The first is the rise in oil prices and also the government's intention to negotiate with oil companies to renegotiate production costs or delay their payment."

He added, "The previous government is the government of office managers, and the government was to buy and sell positions, and the managers appointed to the previous government in 3 ministries of managers and the rest of the ministers were savvy, so they changed the managers."

With regard to what is being talked about to form a supportive bloc for Al-Kazemi, Al-Sudani said, "Most MPs and political groups are wary of Forming a bloc to support the Al-Kazemi government and all the repercussions of the current situation due to the political blocs, as it chooses the prime minister and gives it up.

Member of Parliamentary Finance Committee Jamal Kujer revealed, earlier, the presence of 4 parties, who said that they are looting Iraq’s treasury, pointing out that they are facades for some countries.

Cougar said in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "the Minister of Finance's recent talk about the presence of pockets in the state, out of control, spending billions annually, is not a secret but rather a known and known matter to public opinion," stressing that "the problem in Iraq is diagnosed from a period that is not Few, but we need to adopt solutions to confront corruption forcefully and firmly and stop wasting money. "

Cougar added, "The most important files of corruption in Iraqi countries are represented by border outlets, oil, currency sales, collection, economic offices, space and fictitious projects," noting that "all of these files are known and the minister as the head of the Ministry's pyramid is able to give us a specific number on The amount of money stolen because of the corrupt. "

Cougar pointed out that "there are 4 entities that plunder the treasury of Iraq. They are people, militias, parties and mafias, most of whom are fronts for some of them from neighboring countries, and this explains the inability to address them easier by previous governments." . "

The Finance Minister, Ali Allawi, said in a televised interview, that "there is supposed to be a unified account for all of the state's funds, but there are pockets that are out of control with billions," stressing the existence of "trillions of accounts for some ministries."

Screwball,

What stocks do you buy on the ISX?

The article above in this thread was saying that there are too many banks in Iraq. This means they could potentially make some of the banks combine leaving the stock value.....well who knows? You could lose your money, it could increase the stock value if the joined banks did well.  The article above was saying they need uniformity with the banks to help provide loans and consistency in lending practices. This is not the first time I have heard them say this about the banks.

Anyways, what are your idea about ISX stock to buy? Anybody else own ISX stocks. I know INCP just did really well the last few months but now oil is down so they are starting to drag a little.

On the other hand, a source familiar with in an interview with (Baghdad Today) revealed that "the National Union is a joint project to hand it over to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi in the name of Sulaimaniyah, inviting him to deal with the province directly without returning to the Kurdistan government because of its intransigence and not delivering oil to Baghdad and not paying salaries employees".

A large number of bloggers and activists in Sulaimaniyah interacted with the campaign to demand an agreement with Baghdad directly to send salaries through the Master Card.

Baghdad today - Baghdad

Parliament member Jamal Cougar, Wednesday (June 17, 2020), ruled out the deduction of part of the employees' salaries, or the late payment of them, as happened last May.

Cougar said in an interview with (Baghdad today), "The House of Representatives closed the door to the government on deduction of part of the salaries of employees except for the three presidencies, ministers, members of the House of Representatives and higher levels."

He added that "the delay in salaries occurred only once in the month of May last, therefore it is unlikely that this process will be repeated because the government has doors to secure the salaries of employees in addition to the recovery of world oil prices."

Cougar indicated that "the government will start launching salaries from tomorrow, Thursday, until June 25, and after this date, the process of distributing salaries to employees begins."

The salaries of employees and retirees during the past two months witnessed a delay in spending them for more than 10 days and deduction of 10% of the salaries of retirees during the month of June, which sparked strong resentment with them after which Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi stated that the deduction came for funding and the deducted amounts were returned, and during the past days they were transferred Some media and social media news that the deduction will include employee salaries as well.

The Agriculture, Water and Parliamentary Marshes Committee said on Tuesday that failure to deal with the decision to prevent the entry of imported agricultural and animal products and crops resulted in damaging the economy and the efforts of farmers, farmers and local producers.

The head of the committee, Salam Al-Shammari, said in a press statement, which “NAS” received a copy of (June 16, 2020).

Al-Shammari added that "most of the agricultural and animal products and crops have reached the state of self-sufficiency and the Ministry, with the support of the committee, began planning to export the surplus to foreign markets."

He considered, "What is witnessed by the local market in insisting on importing products that have a similar local presence in abundance, is a malicious conspiracy to hit the national economy, paid in particular by farmers and farmers."

Al-Shammari reiterated his call to government agencies to tighten their procedures at border crossings and not to allow any product to enter, regardless of who was required to refer those responsible for this great harm to the judiciary on charges of hitting the national economy for the benefit of external parties.

Due diligence must be done by all...I invest in onky stocks or companies partly owned by Foriegn national banks and there’s a couple...also bank of Baghdad
