There's some folks in a couple of other threads that both you and I are contributors of that are advocating that very thing, the silencing of free speech....They could use a reminder of the foundation you mentioned here.  As always, just my opinion.

Yep...Some folks do advocate  just that.....I know since I've been told more than once  " don't write that"  and " Don't report articles from that paper" (infact they neg me for that very reason...no matter the subject of the article) and stuff like that.....That goes against a pile of ( democratic) rules....

Bernie is an island, not the norm.....Complete socialism would be unsustainable, especially with an already bloated 22 trillion national debt.  A person believing in some social programs, particularly those that help people in need, doesn't make them a socialist....it makes them compassionate humans, possessing God's love for our fellow man.  As always, just my opinion.
