Wow. Great article that has built on other articles from a week or so ago.

This hopefully will keep the local "gangs" in check, stop post liberation looting, and allow legitimate militias and federal forces to attack the enemy while serving the people who are largely Sunni in this area. While ISIS or Dassh are Sunni, they are pure evil and Sunni by name only. The local,Sunni people who did not support them, who were murdered by them, should not continue suffering because of them. We all have heard of the reports of theft and abuse of "Shitte" forces, some suggested in retaliation for the loss ofnthenareanto ISIS; after Sunni areas are freed from the grip ISIS held them in.

Furthermore, this may be the start of instead of fighting for another 1300 years because each practice another version of Islam and getting no where, that they can actually tolerate the differences between them, and live in peace of sorts.

Thanks Yota....Two very good points...Parliament needs to get the National Guard Bill and Amnesty Act passed as quick as possible. There are respected political leaders as well as seasoned top military leaders that have the experience to guide and form a orderly Suuni base for security...The only way to build a union of trust is to give the people something to trust in...Iraq's future is not in what happens today or tomorrow...but how the next generations perceives their outlook....Ya got to build your castle one brick at a time...

God, how these people drag things thru the weeds for years is nothing short of EPIC. Just utterly exhausting & exasperating - it's a wonder they accomplish anything at all, really.

 

Somehow they seem to perfecty at home amongst the chaos. Makes you think they would never be comfortable being at peace . . . that is to suggest there might actually be a point where PEACE actually broke out. I know that's most likely a wild stab in the dark right now . . . .
