A parliamentary source said the National Alliance, that House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri, the Finance Committee had a big role in approving the budget yesterday.

 

The source said in his speech ((eighth day)) that "al-Jubouri's insistence on approving the budget and not to postpone the vote on the missed opportunity," Maliki's bloc "that was blocking the budget in various ways.

 

He added that Maliki's bloc-prone government was trying hard to block the budget for the longest possible period in order that does not allow for the success of this government.

 

The day the House of Representatives yesterday voted to approve the budget. (AA)
