Well, I'd say that shoots the idea of any RV in the near future.........that would make too many new millionaires in Iraq too soon, lol, the government wouldn't want that.

Not that I had any real hope left alive for anything in the next 2 to 5 years anyhow, but that really puts a nail in the coffin.

But they would not be millionaires. They would simply have more purchasing power.  They are not exchanging their dinars to become anything. They would be able to afford more things but then goods and services will also adjust to the new dinar value.

It's not you blitzer....but it is one of my pet peeves that speculators will say "millionaires" when it comes to Iraqi citizens. They just end up with a better value for their money....they are not going to be putting millions in the bank and no one wanting to work.  At least not for many years....then they may become like Kuwait....but not anytime soon even with a revaluation of their currency.

I wonder if bigamy is legal in Basra? :eyebrows:

Not to sure if I like this. An RV would make them extremely wealthy. So if true, RV is a long way off, or there may never be one. Just sayin. :twocents:

Just an FYI.......When the CBI decides to institute monetary reform, Iraqi's with a couple million dinar are not going to 'become rich'. Their buying power will just be increased.

The revaluation will only bring good returns for those outside Iraq who exchange their IQD for their nation's currencies.......USD,Euro, BPS, etc....
