All I can say is if Maliki has recently said he's going to do the same....uhhh...they must have a census completed???

***///

hard to count folks what with the influx of refugees from Syria,

the terrorists subtracting from the population,

an entire cadre of Iranian "diplomats",

and a whole slew of international contractors running around adding to it...!

if they managed to get the census done we'll be impressed like crazy !  :twothumbs:

I spent almost a year in Kurkuk among the Kurds and the Turkoman.  One the I do have to say about them - they are serious about business. They are very European in their outlook - and they want an international economy.  Even back in 2005 when I was there, most of the businesmen and local politicians I talked with were very forward looking.  Hope this finally plays out, because I'd love to eventually go back as a tourist.
