A recent rush of petitions to the White House’s website from anti-Barack Obama partisans hoping their states will secede from the U.S. has produced its first backlash: online petitions asking the Obama administration to exile anyone who signed them.

Two such petitions launched Nov. 12 in the White House’s “We the People” section.

“Mr. President,” reads one, “please sign an executive order such that each American citizen who signed a petition from any state to secede from the USA shall have their citizenship stripped and be peacefully deported.”

“Deport Everyone That Signed A Petition To Withdraw Their State From The United States Of America,” reads the other. (RELATED: Anti-secession forces fight back with White House deportation petitions)

Petitions representing 49 of the 50 U.S. states are now pending on the White House’s website. As of Tuesday afternoon, Vermont was the lone holdout.

In all, more than 450,000 people have signed the secession petitions. Two, from Texas and Louisiana, have attracted the 25,000 signatures required for an Obama administration review.

The two deportation petitions have attracted a combined total of about 7,500 signatures.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s office said Tuesday, however, that the former GOP presidential candidate does not support the withdrawal of Texas from the United States. (RELATED OPINION: Secession, y’all: Why Texas can pull it off)

“Gov. Perry believes in the greatness of our Union and nothing should be done to change it. But he also shares the frustrations many Americans have with our federal government,” the statement read.

Let's see here, you can submit a petition for anything. Some want to leave the union, some wants to deport those who signed. I think enough shady characters are on both sides of this river. Conservatives should act more intelligent than they are. Leave the Union that is just crazy. So some want to deport you guys are you afraid of the deportation petition being approved and those who signed get booted to Canada or Mexico?

Just out of curiosity... Where would they get deported to , if they are American? A Country of their choice maybe ( said half-sarcastically)? Besides most Countries now are enforcing severe anti -immigration laws ( unless you declare and demonstrate you're going to go there loaded with money....).. It wouldn't be so easy to get a stay permit in most countries nowadays....

Many of the people that voted for Obama didn't think he did a very good job first term, but the percieved economic problems were initiated by corporate malfiesance under the Bush admin. I wonder if the author of this article actual asked the petitioners if they were anti- Obama or if is pure assumption??? I am neither for or against Obama, I just dont want to see my country fall from greatness!

Umbertino as a soldier I ask a fellow officer and he said that once you have a deportation order you are

no longer a American citizen you get imprisoned and probably get a arse whooping for being treasonist

and then they take you to the closet border to where you live and they tell that country why they kicked you out

into there country and what they do to you after that is up to that country.My guess is put you to death

before they take you there.It will just look like they are taking you out of the country.

History and economics; It is so depressing to see the lack of knowlege of folks these days. Just a simple read about this nation, I suggest one start with the founding documents such as the Bill of Rights and Constitution. The comments regarding businesses being evil, yes any business can be evil, but it appears that the solution we have right now is to have the government run the businesses. Look at all the waste in government that has and continues to expand. Look at all the jobs GM has taken to China since the "government bailout", China now has eleven GM facilities with a possbility of more on the way. GM left us with having to pay for their environmental clean up mess while they closed their doors. I believe where we need to start is in our school system. Folks fight for new football stadiums while their children are clueless about the truth about the founding of this nation. What really happened with slavery? Junetenth is celebrated in some areas of the south, when I first went there and saw this celebration, I asked how this could be celebrated when there was no right to own property or vote? When I think about this unless we get it together here we will all fact no right to own property or vote and I just bet some will still celebrate this as freedom. Overthrow and suceding does not seem like the answer, I believe the answer is education and really caring about each. I pray for all at this forum.
