YES! I noticed the same pattern and I think he is Oakie's brother - just a pumper. He's on the wrong form, you are all too smart. Good investigative work. I agree with another poster it appears the CBI is looking for bids and De La Rue it appears was not "yet" awarded a contract or another bidder won - this is not enough evidence to me to speculate what the outcome of how the CBI intends to RD/RV.

Last year, there was a post showing how to tell when the notes you hold we're printed.

We found printing dates as recent as 2010.

The CBI has stated they have yet to award the printing contract for the new currency with the Kurdish language. According to the last info they released, they had proofs of the new currency, and were supposed to be choosing between two companies.

The CBI has had increased in the amount of currency released to the street since 2004, each required printing. The info posted above does not reflect the additional print runs.

So, you have to decide; have they printed or not printed currency since 2004 - and have they printed or not printed the new lower denoms,

Just another reminder that it is hard to be "kinda pregnant"; you either are or you are not.

No monetary reform of any consequence can occur without the introduction of smaller denominations to make transactions at a higher rate.

If they haven't, or don't plan on printing the smaller bills, then they obviously don't plan on increasing the value.

I personally don't view this as good news; maybe you can point out what I am missing.

AL, don't take anything personally in this thread. You have to realize we have been hanging around here for years, I mean years waiting for this RV to happen. We have seen and heard just about everything. What might be a simple question for you has been something that has been asked a thousand times. It has been nothing short of educational, but very frustrating, sad because we have lost a few good friends along the way and they will not see the finish line with us, we have lost jobs, homes, and sanity. This RV has been the golden rope that has been thrown just out of reach, but we keep reaching. Wow folks. I get this important information about what delarue company have done from year 2003 - 2012. As we all see in 2003, De La Rue confirms that it is in discussions to assist in the production of banknotes for Iraq. That means that Iraq already printed the first banknotes in 2003 (that is what we have and hold now as current banknotes )through the delarue company. And, then from 2004 – 2012, delarue company have not announced until now that Iraq want to print a new banknote as we all hear that Iraq wants to RD their currency. That means Iraq has not intended to RD their currency ( remove 3 Zero/ LOP ) and GOI just talk and talk to scare away all dinar investor, like us, and doesn’t have any intention to RD at all ( this is what we all want it very badly). And, this is a good news for all of us as dinar investor and the more we all hear that GOI wants to RD very often, the closest we are to the RV. Have a faith to all of us and be optimistic. Eventhough, this is a good news, JUST REMEMBER : DO NOT BUY MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. DON’T BE GREEDY . GO RV to all of us.

27 747-Jumbo planeloads of dinar were flown into Iraq from seven printing plants around the world, some says amounting to 4.6 trillion dinar ( CBI key financials data ~ currency outside bank : 4.6 Trillion dinar ( as at Dec 2003).

What if the 2005-2010 notes, were printed in advance....? Could that be? I dont know but I' m sure printing of currencies is not something you do out of the blue. it takes a massive plan...... And if it is a plan, why not.

I always thought 4.6 Trillion dinar is a little too little for 27 planeloads of 747 Jumbo jets......

Last year, sometime in June 2011, Saleh (CBI) said, there were 29 trillion dinar in circulation represented by 6 trillion notes. If we do the maths, the average is about 5 dinar. Could they have printed the small denom as well...? Back in 2003.

Anyway......

If you read their Prelim Statement Year to 27 March 2004, this is what they had to say " Currency had an excellent year with operating profits substantially ahead of last year, despite an increase in pension costs of £3.4m. This was primarily driven by the impact of the exceptional order in relation to Iraq banknotes announced in July 2003. The banknote printing business has performed strongly this year against demanding manufacturing schedules and timescales, given the exceptional second half volumes (due predominantly to the Iraq contract).

Even in 2007, they were still talking about their Iraq contract in their quarterly results, a benchmark of sorts ~ " A significant driver behind the improved divisional result was the Currency activities which had another excellent year, with the banknote business operating at near capacity levels in the second half. Overall, banknote volumes increased by 19.5 per cent (2005/2006 : decrease of 11.4 per cent) over the prior year, attaining a level even higher than that achieved in the Iraq contract year in 2003/2004.

Must have been a great year 2003/2004..........printing only 4.6 Trillion dinar..?
