  1. What the heck is going on around here? When possum breaks character it makes me uncomfortable.
  2. Thank God we have a real guru here. Not one of those fake lying sober ones. Long live the possum. His liver is the real mvp of this dinar ride.
  3. I see nothing about it passing again? Do you have link? To my knowledge it was reintroduced by a few senators in a bill but that last I read it had zero chance of passing a vote to become law again.
  4. Possum youre drunk already and repeating yourself. Pace yourself or Momma's gonna be really disapointed later.
  5. Its good to see the Possum share with us. I hope momma is ready for this. Possum drinks a lot to celebrate and even more when the voices are wrong.
  6. Wow, is this confirmed? What a tragedy. Wasn't Dan very young, like late 20's early 30's?
  7. You might be right but there is no way to tell for sure based on the news. There were several articles saying he had died, including ones that quoted his wife even. The budget needs to be signed by him or the vice president. The news has been strangely quiet on who is signing this if Talabani is still in Germany. Dont get me wrong, I trust the gurus as far as I could throw them but you cant rule out that he is in Iraq now.
  8. Finally!! Its party time. The possum has returned.
  9. It was posted first here or actually I think on Adams other blog but that was a long time ago. Its old, not saying his opinion isnt the same but this is a year or two old I believe.
  10. Correct me if Im wrong but I believe this is two completely different things. The above is referencing what we generally refer to as the arbil agreement that we have been waiting to have implemented which covers all the topics mentioned. The agreement reached in arbil by Dulaimi the defense minister is in regards to their recent skirmish regarding who is in charge of security militarily speaking in certain areas of the north.

  12. What makes you guys say the dinar isnt pegged? It is pegged to the usd at 1166 right now. If a currency is freely traded on the forex and goes up and down then it is not pegged but allowed to float. The new dinar has been pegged to the usd since its inception almost ten years ago although the rate has been moved a couple times. If you find the announcements from the cbi and imf from ten years ago you will see that they say the dinar shall be pegged to the usd at such and such a rate.
  13. Somewhat humorous article about which states actually are a drain on the federal budget. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/dana-milbank-the-confederacy-of-takers/2012/11/13/d8adc7ee-2dd4-11e2-beb2-4b4cf5087636_story.html
  14. So business as usual. Kick the can down the road a couple weeks. Ugggggggh
  15. Am I the only one who thinks its funny that the original poster here has a picture of an american flag chair with a dog sitting on it? Lighten up. Its an Obama logo that resembles the flag. Not a redesigned American flag. Just like your dog isnt sitting on an American flag which would be disrepectful, he's sitting on a chair with a flag design. By the way, Im voting for Romney, just sick of election drivel.
  16. This is exactly right and often ignored. When people talk about inflation and argue they cant lop because its low they are comparing it from month to month, looking at the dinar in too short of time period. Old dinar 3$ something post war dinar .00086. This is hyperinflation. Just because its been steady for some time now doesnt mean it isnt hyperinflated. I believe in an rv but I agree you cant argue that they are telling us one is coming. Everything reads as lop imo.
  17. Thats fine, we can agree to disagree on what the term means. In my mind its a deragatory thing poiciticians say about other politicians. Its meant to imply they dont understand the private sector and the everyday working man because they have worked in the system getting paid by tax dollars their whole life. I would say running a business makes it impossible to be accurately labeled this but politicians make dumb accusations everyday.
  18. Youre right, Airforce. Thanks. The years he has worked as a congressmen is beside the point. He maintained a medical practice during those years. When you say someone is a career politician its implying he hasnt done or doesnt know how to do anything else.
  19. Hello, Cris is it? . I thought Id debate with you a bit . Now Im not saying Romney isnt a good business man or isnt generous but these examples you give dont really mean much. Romney made 21.7 million in 2010 and over 20 million last year, in down economies. The fact that he donated a million here or there is not all that altruistic. Theres a reason he's paid less then 15% on the millions he's made and part of that tax equation that gets him there is charitable write offs. The guys not self made, he did use his families wealth to make his. Nothing wrong with that but just pointing it out. I'd also say calling Ron Paul a career politician is not fair. The guys been a practicing obgyn for years and is a navy vet.
  20. I understand what your saying but dont think that works that well. There are too many variables that go into job creation. Simply raising tariffs will not help the local economy and probably hurt it without anything else changing. The US tried to help the great depression with such an act and all it did was make the depression worse, the Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act.
  21. Not saying it means RV but they cant buy local stuff. Its not like if you want to buy a made in Iraq hammer you can. Everything is imported for the most part. They have no manufacturing base.
  22. Ive enjoyed reading this debate for what its worth. Neodinar, I thought your answer was really well written and hard to poke holes in with the exception of this part. "then there's the nearly impossible intellectual leap that 13.7 billion years is anywhere near enough time for unguided atoms to randomly self assemble into a human brain, the most complex thing we know exists in a universe that is finely tuned for life to exist. If any of the constants in this universe were even slightly out of range, life in this universe would not be possible." Two words my friend, Drake Equation, if you think there isn't a an extremely high probability of billions and billions of other earth like planets with other humanoid beings similar to us, that simply would not make sense mathematically, there's evidence to suggest there was life on mars for heaven's sake. Yes from an earthbound and religious pov the odds are slim that earth developed as it did, but not when you look at it from a scientific pov under a bigger lens, we are most likely simply one of billions if not more inhabitable planets in the universe. I feel that makes us special and you obviously do to but in no way out of the ordinary on a cosmic scale. "It takes far far more faith to believe that a human could randomly self assemble in 13.7 billion years from unguided atoms than it does to conclude that humans were intelligently created." Really, so Adam/Eve, being created out of a part of a rib overnight is more reasonable to you than evolution which we can observe and have unparalleled evidence for? Um, ok. "If random atoms can self assemble into humans there's no reason they can't assemble into machines , especially if they have 13.7 billion years to do so, the key ingredients for evolution is matter and time. Why are there no machines in nature?" Machine by definition is, a tool consisting of one or more parts that is constructed to achieve a particular goal. In the context of evolution, how are living organisms not machines"? Humans are created, have moving parts, and are goal orientated. So if you are asking why haven't atoms formed to create living inanimate objects, well that would be an oxymoron. My question would be in relation to the difference between a machine and a living organism. The difference between the two imo is what makes this argument tricky. Whatever you want to call it, life force, energy, spirit, etc. Theres no debating its there and has some type of intelligence. Someone who has just passed is a sack of inanimate atoms vs someone who is alive. If the single cell evolution theory is correct then where did that life force or intelligence come from in that first living organism? This is where even people like Richard Dawkins grasp for answers that sound silly imo. Like... maybe it was seeded from another planet. Ok, well where did it come from on that planet? I dont think most reasonable people question that evolution exists but there is a difference between species evolving and changing and everything on earth evolving from a single cell. I agree with you on most all accounts but how do you account for that spark of life? Thanks.
