The Fed's policy of printing money will eventually end badly. IMO, its a question of how much time we have until fiat currencies start to tank. Pray its well after an RV. I agree that, within a fiat currency melt-down scenario, we could see gold and silver soar as populations seek a safe financial haven.

IMO, he meant 21.86 USD per IQD, but that's not what the post claims. VND at 2 USD is too rich from what I have read from many other sources. Consensus seems to be that it will be in the range of .47 to .49 USD. We'll see.

I still take pause from time to time, concerned that this whole RV thing has been manufactured by a few pimply-faced 14 year olds in their parent's basement.....laughing at the ruckus they've caused. Internet anonymity can work for us or against us. We all hear or read reports/posts every day from so-called Gurus and plain-old posters, but the bottom line is, we don't know them.....and we don't know that anything they state or claim is true. Let's face it; much of this investment is based on hope; hope that what we read or are told is true. I have nothing against hope. but it hasn't helped me out financially at all to this point. And on it goes.

Most Americans have no clue as to an impending RV/RI, let alone even know what a dinar is. More than likely an RV will come and go and they will remain clueless as to what just happened. It is the center of many or our lives because of our investments in the IQD and the years we have been waiting, but for the bulk of the world population, it doesn't even register on the radar. If we think differently, IMO we are kidding ourselves.

I say they will move it two pips, then wait for six years for Iraq to become the "Land of Perfect". There's always something more to wait for to get everything just perfect. If you don't act, you don't make mistakes. Gottta love the GOI.

In reviewing Fincen Form 104, you will find that the words "cash in", "cash out" and "currency exchange" are all used and defined. Should be easy to understand, however, in reading the definitions I find that there is a lot of room for either misinterpretation or outright confusion. It would help if someone on the site in the know could advise how this form should be properly filled out for a simple exchange of IQD for USD.....to successfully avoid having their transaction defined as "an investment". Part II is the critical section for transaction types. Last thing you want to do is fill out the form in good faith....intending a simple currency exchange......only to find that it is categorized as an investment the way the form was filled out. If, as some claim, some bank officials might attempt to trick an "exchanger" into the use of a wrong form or incorrect wording....all the more reason to get specific guidance well in advance of the transaction. That could benefit everyone.

Or.....the RV will be announced on April 1st........only to be unmasked as an April Fool, with us as the fools once again in a long line of unrealized dates.

I could not disagree more. I watched the two hour segment last night on the History Channel and thought that it was well-made, stuck to the original bible stories, and had limited commercial breaks. The visual effects were very well done. If all one gets from the series is a better understanding of some of the key stories in the bible, then, IMO, it will have been a success. In the end, the true success of this series will lie in the eye and the faith of the beholder.

Interesting, but certainly not BREAKING NEWS worthy.
