  1. T was doing nothing wrong, Maggie?.. I hope that when someone is on top of you pounding your head into the pavement, you will remember that they are doing nothing wrong. I do agree, however, that the whole way that the left forced this case to be brought against GZ (and against the judgement of the investigating officers) exposes the racial hatred in our country. It is really sad.
  2. Classic... Hispanic...the new white... I guess we have a white guy living in the White House since 43's term ended?
  3. How would 7pm EST = close of banking in Hawaii? Do banks in Hawaii close at noon?
  4. You think that GE is a conservative company?... And you think that FOX viewers need a life?... Pffft... What a tool.
  5. Thanks for bringing this material. Sadly, too many racial stereotypes are pounded into our minds in this time (and most times) through the media and communities in which we live. Our ignorance and fears help to continue the narratives fed to us and thus goes the vicious circle. It is up to us, as members of the human race, to break the cycle and end racism for the good of all. My hat is off to all like-minded humans.
  6. For the record, I didn't call you out on spelling... I know that I'm not great at it. I was defending your honor... as for the spell you're going to cast, any help you can send me is appreciated. thanks for the giggle.
  7. No, actually he was right. A "Wydgie" board is what one wears inside of his underpants to keep the wedgies away. I got your back Stealthwarrior.
  8. I believe that is the first thing that you've said on this forum that I can agree with on some level. The only thing that I disagree with in your thought process here is that the GOP is already toothless and there is not a one of them that has the balls to do anything about this, or any other stunt, that O is or has pulled. Plus to you as we'll.
  9. Isn't this monstrosity a law? How can this administration just arbitrarily and unilaterally change the deadlines? At any rate, the whole thing, and the way that it has been forced on us is disgusting.
  10. Even in Warka Bank, you would need to set up two separate accounts... one holds USD and the other is funded by IQD.
  11. The whole asset-backed dollar thing is fiction. the dollar is fiat and therefore only backed by faith and trust that it is worth something. the US 100 dollar bill that will be released into circulation on October 8, 2013 is simply the continuation of the newly redesigned notes that you currently see in circulation. You know, the ones that have colors other than green and black. Contrary to guru nonsense, they are federal reserve notes and not some magical new treasury note. I hope that helps
  12. No, actually, I think what cooked was saying was right. Then, when the next comment is made and is contentious toward the poster for a spelling error, it rubs me wrong. I think it is tough to defend Maggie's condescending tone. It was she who put the misspelled word in quotation marks, thereby displaying her disdain for someone else's error. Her intent was clear; it was an attempt to belittle and undermine the opinion of cooked by attacking a misspelled word. I am simply pointing out to her that there is a way to disagree while not being disagreeable.
  13. Maggie, I have a few thoughts for you... I don't know who made you spelling police of DV, but I find it quite sad that you take it upon yourself to attempt to correct other poster's spelling and come up with yet another incorrect spelling. If you cannot spell a word, but you know what the original poster meant, leave it alone. If you are not sure which words i am referring to because you really think you spelled them correctly, that is the most sad of all. (Hint: the word you incorrectly put into quotes, and your own misspelled word about total destruction). Rant off. No one is perfect, and I know that I misspell words and use grammar incorrectly from time to time. I just hope that when I do, and someone understands my intent, that they forgive my err.
  14. Yeah, but the president has said sorts of things that have turned out to be untrue... Why would I believe him now? On the other hand, you have an excellent suggestion about cleaning house.
  15. If that is what you're upset about, why do you feel the need to belittle someone for something that has nothing to do with what you're upset about? Why did you then choose to make such over-reaching and over-generalized, blanket statements about how uneducated people must be if they are viewers of FOX news? My brother is an educator, like you, and he probably has some of your views on those that don't think like he does. He probably cringes when I structure sentences incorrectly too, but he's man enough, and humble enough, to attempt to convince me of his superior intellect without belittling me for what he may view as my shortsightedness or lack of knowledge. I know that I don't have all the answers, and I'm smart enough to know that you don't either. What I am sure of, however, is that very few of our politicians have the intestinal fortitude to do what is right for their employers (us), but will always chose to do what they think will keep them employed for the longest period of time. I think your side of the aisle is not without fault for the path that our country is on. We may not like it, and I know that you are passionate about your views, but displaying arrogance is usually not the best way to convince someone of your superior intellect or to show them the err of their ways. Patty, you are A.O.K. In my book. No need to thank me, and I hope you can adopt the idea that it is not a flaw... Chemo brain is a real life malady and you have nothing to feel bad about. I have not endured cancer myself, but know a few survivors, and that is the key in my book...SURVIVOR... Besides, everyone knew what you were saying, even if the words weren't used or spelled correctly.
  16. Personally, I think it serve us well if each of us looked inward and challenged ourselves to do better. Using generalized statements such as you do, Hame, does no one any good and serves to further divide. Stop looking down your nose and criticizing someone's spelling or grammar. As an English professor, maybe you should be more critical of your fellow educators and uncover why so many people have difficulty spelling and structuring sentences. I hold our educational system responsible for those shortcomings. Further, you see the world through your limited vision, just as I see it through mine... it doesn't mean that you are right and anyone who sees things differently are wrong, it just means that you don't see eye to eye. I would think as an educator you would be more inclined to using your brilliance to educate and persuade others to see things your way rather than to take the cheap shots you seem to prefer.
  17. Though you and I rarely see eye to eye on politics, your reasoning on this issue is sound and I had to + you. Besides, your post made me
  18. Actually I believe they do eat seals right from the beach from time to time... Just CG the seals out of shot and put a person there instead and you have instant 'shock value' advertising.
  19. Dog, you couldn't pay me enough to accept that bill... I'd be afraid it would disintegrate in my pocket.
  20. Well done, Shabs... and exactly how his administration would see it done... never his fault, someone else is to blame...
  21. Hey LiBoy, The credibility and world standing of our country has already been sacrificed... and it has nothing to do with whether or not Stealthwarrior dislikes the president. That guy makes himself look bad all by himself. But for the record, I must say that I rather like the new attitude that you have taken on and been fairly consistent in displaying here on DV over the last few weeks/months. I even admit to plussing you a couple of times in the past week for your commentary... this one, not so much...
  22. If you give them out after RV and they have substantial value, it will have been best if you have a notarized, dated (prior to RV) letter in their name. That way, the value of the gift to them is nominal. If you have the notarized gift letter in hand, before any RV, you and the recipient are better served as the gift is smaller in value and therefore gifting limits are not affected... With the notarized gift, you can prove your intent to gift when value was small and tax liability was minimal. Did I say that in enough ways to make it understandable?
  23. Well done Smee2. Too many good ones to remember in one sitting.
