We have seen battles over water rights since the western migration began. . Being a retired Hydrologist I am intimately familiar with H2o. If you look at population and available water supply. Then look at the owner of the land. You will see the gobberment lays claim of almost all the land west of the divide. You will also see the limits of water. Point is if you want to control a large part of the lower 48 you take control of the surface water. Ground supply of H2o is a different animal. What is taking place is a overreach of the gobberment to control the water. In this whole Bundy mess is a river that flows fresh water. That water is the prize. Guys I live in Texas. I can say that when the call went out there were at least 10,000 patriots from all over Texas wiling to go to dirty harrys land grab. The night before we were to depart.
