  1. Yes Adam. That was an intuitive though I had when I first read the ministry of electricity update. It would seem logical that anything that is as broad-sweeping of a legislation impacting all the citizens would fundamentally provide a similar foundation for HCL.
  2. This post reminds me of an expose on Afghanistan that aired on the Sunday morning show Today - the 90-minute show on CBS that airs on Sunday mornings. A feature, which I believe aired in 2011, showed a geologist walking amongst the 'barren wasteland' in Afghanistan, who was in complete awe at what he and his colleagues had found - despite their lack of effort. It seemed like something right out of a Daffy Duck cartoon - where Daffy finds himself in a pile of diamonds, emeralds, and ruby's. Since there has yet to be any real examination of the Earth in Afghanistan, geologically speaking, no one in today's age as of 2011 knew of the great geological wealth that the country possesses. Afghanistan is a country that I've kept in the back of my mind for the right occasion- which will hopefully move up toward the front of my mind once this RV 'hits' - which can't be soon enough for reasons of survival! Go Iraq!!!.,go RV!...get your tourism industry going - along with your oil exports - and show the world what you're literally made of - please!
  3. Good morning Yota (and DV), thanks for the continuous work once again! As the saying goes, "things are getting interesting"; I look forward to seeing a lot of footprints on Maliki in the coming days!
  4. Olivesman, The rest of the line goes...'pal...the night you and your buddy stole that cow and your buddy tried to make it with the cow, the two of us together - forget it" i couldn't help expanding on the words quoted above said by Bill Murry in the movie 'Stripes'
  5. I hope that the speculation I've read that Iraq and Iran were going to make near-simultaneous changes to their currencies is true; we will sure find out - SUDDENLY! (thanks for saving me the trouble of having to think for the last word in my post, LGD- and for all your posts over the years. I might not get the chance to thank you as easily as I can now 'after the fact' - GO RV!!!
  6. Davis411 - I hope it goes through too - so that you don't have to eat your dog - and that I can my two cars that are 'down' fixed immediately. I may have created the latter problem 3 years ago when I told a close friend who passed in July that this thing is going to hit when I need it most - I recall specifically saying I will probably have 2 down cars ( neither of which I want to eat) GO RV!!!!!!!'
  7. I had a very pleasant response in my email yesterday, which was a reply from Mohammad Issa to correspondence I sent the day before. I had asked him multiple times over the last 2 years to remove the outstanding annual fees from my account and to provide me with an updated password. I thought I'd try again based on the circumstances that appear to be unfolding. I am especially pleased with the timeliness of his prompt reply and take it as a sign that the funds in my account are safe still in WARKA!
  8. Thanks Thugs- much appreciated. This is a very exciting post of yours. which to me it seems, and feels, very 'timely.' Go RV!!!
  9. Despite the logic and authenticity of the article - thanks SoCalDinar - it still feels to me like this is going to 'hit' any any moment! Go RV!
  10. It seems that anything worth value is fair game for corruption in Iraq - and real estate is certainly no exception. Unfortunately, real estate fraud it isn't limited to that part of the world. I had my first real estate transaction in 2008 after my parents died. The agent we originally planned to work with - a friend of a friend - referred the sale to two co-workers who were 'less than honest'; they lied to ius about the true value of our property and undervalued it by $100,000 - to the dollar -that was shown on the 5-year reassessment records in our town (our closing was a week after the reassessment.) The people who bought the house never moved in as we were told, but re-listed it for $200,000 more in the 'down market' which occurred in the fall of 2008 only 95 days after they bought it. In my real estate education that's evolved over the past 8 years, I learned that the true value of our property would have been disclosed to us if the buyers had a mortgage, but for 'some reason' the buyers decided to purchase the $317,960 property for cash which prevented the true value coming to light. After the house was flipped, we learned that the buyers (neighbors who lived 5 houses away) were actually real estate agents who worked in the very same office and were friends and co-workers of the agents we hired to represent us. Despite catching the agents with a cut-and-paste forgery (3 forgeries exist actually, which are similar but slightly different versions of a dual agency disclosure document - which is a required contract for the transaction to proceed, contains a copy of my brothers signature that was taken from a different document that he did sign. The forged documents was created a year after the sale and on the eve of a real estate grievance hearing that took place in 2009. Despite having the opinion from our hand-writing expert, the court in our state didn't allow our hand-writing expert witness to testify during our 2015 trial. In the weeks prior to the trial during the jury selection process, judges pressured me hard to accept an unacceptably low settlement offer and to switch from a jury trial to a bench trial (a bench trial is one where the judge decides the outcome of the trial). After refusingI their pressure, I was penalized by having the trial postponed and a new judge assigned to the trial. The excuse at the time that the judge told is for the postponement was due to a request by the media to film the trial; because the jury we selected was unaware of the media's presence, we were told we had to select a new jury. The change in schedule required a new judge to be assigned to our trial - which eventually ended in a directive verdict (that's where the judge decides the outcome of the trial and takes the decision making right away from the jury). The trial judge dis this because they said that my attorney didn't present enough evidence at trial. The new judge apparently used to be a real estate attorney (unknown to us at the time) and didn't let: the real estate laws and regulations, the tax assessment/update, or the forgery - in at trial. The latter evidence were three previously agreed-upon agreements which were made and ordered on the record by the first judge just 6 weeks earlier. I mention the above personal experience not simply to 'vent', but to try to educate and keep anyone - even one person - from going through what I went - and am - going through. Despite the fact that my case is presently under appeal, and despite the fact that our state laws and regulations require the appeal to be heard and ruled upon, the real estate agent/defendants initiated an untimely counter-suit against me for $300,000, claiming that I sued the agents and broker -who work at the largest real estate company in North America, vexatiously. I truly hope that every resident of Iraq who has been robbed or cheated out of real estate equity (or been the victim of any other crime for that matter), gets their day in court - and that it doesn't take them the 8 plus years it's taking me to get justice! Go RV!!! (I could certainly use the help from it in paying the attorney who wrote my appeal!) ~thanks for listening~
  11. Good morning Yota- thanks again for the consistent effort and hard work you do each and every day to bring the news updates to this site in a timely manner. It certainly looks like things are very active - which is a great sign.
  12. I suspect, and hope, you are right, Chinadawg. If Iraq is starting to imprison banking and other officialls., it's just a matter of time before he's arrested and tried for crimes against humanity.
  13. Laid Back, I enjoy reading your comments and getting a lift from your enthusiastic 'Go.,,,' comments - that often end with 'RV.'! That being said, for personal reasons only, I truly hope you are wrong in your analyses (despite the fact that I agree with it) regarding the process as to how the RV will enfold. I for one, hope that Iraq surprises us all-just as they always do- but in a good way this time, and that they 'pull the trigger' as early and as 'soon' as possible (this week is fine with me). I am of the opinion that the 'i's have been dotted and the t's have been crossed' behind the scene, due to the fact that the oil-and the money- appears to be flowing (i. e. the Kirkuk field that was recently re-activated and then doubled in it's output - which I believe is still going, but please correct me if I am mistaken) from Baghdad in a manner consistent with an active HCL law My latter statement is only reflective on what I've read recently regarding Kurdistan, since I can't recall recent articles on the flow of money between Baghdad and the other regions of Iraq, which to the best of my knowledge would be even more convincing of an active HCL 'law'. Does anyone know the status or the result of the article I referenced above? The last week feels like 1 long day to me, so it's I overlooked the answer to my question. Go Iraq- Go RV! Go Laid Back!
  14. Yes- we are truly blessed. No matter how bad things sometimes appear from my 'personal perspective' in the west, they don't include an escape tunnel or signs that me or my neighbors had to run for our lives with nothing but the assumed 'clothes on our back.'
  15. A few weeks ago I said that I would not post in response to luigi's posts in the rumor section, so as to not "add fuel to the fire." However, I truly couldn't resist posting a response to this one. Do my eyes deceive me, or does Bruce say above- in the same paragraph- that he doesn't know the date or rate, and just a few sentences later state that 'all rates are good'?'
  16. The above respectful posts by all the DV members certainly put things in perspective. I hope his family is ok, and that they aren't (weren't) in the 'survival mode' way of life that many others are. Regardless of finances, the loss of a loved one is painful and I pray they all find peace through this painful transition....
  17. I read this thoroughly, but there is no mention - anywhere - of a kitchen sink. So, I have to agree - this is BS.
  18. I only got 5 hours sleep each of the last 2 nights, but since I do have an affinity for math, I thought I'd start by adding to the confusion.i haven't read the article in it's entirety but based on the above numbers, "something doesn't add up ." 100/ 15 compared to 250 should be 37.5 - since hold can be melted down and sold for 'it's weight in gold' there is too much volatility based on the above ratios and prices of 100 and 250 for 15 and 28.35. My guess is that these numbers were translated incorrectly or that there is a typo in the original article. Despite the inconsistent ratios between the 100 and 250 coins compared to each other, there's the obvious fact that the dinar to dollar ratio of $1300/250 is 5.2. Although that certainly would be fine with me!I will try this problem again after getting proper rest..,
  19. Wiljor, Chuck, and LB: I agree with all of your statements and enjoyed reading your comments. I personally sense, and energetically feel, that a significant rate change in the IQD is very close to being made and released to the public by the CBI. I wouldn't be surprised to see it as early as tonight. The words 'all' and 'foreign' are a powerful combination to see in articles being released by the CBI. There are so many recent events - factual and historical, that show the trend to a change in rate. Go RV!!!
  20. Thanks LGD - I appreciate your response to my inquiry- along with all your prior posts over the years - very much! Go RV!
  21. I was wondering if this law contains language that details the status of protection for funds and that are currently In WARKA.
  22. magawatt - I intuitively agree with your words; however, I am not familiar with the expression and would be honored if you could elaborate on my behalf~
  23. This is a great article to see. I assume that movable possessions also includes corrupt bank accounts - which can easily be identified and moved back to their proper place via forensic accounting and a little help with superior technology!
