I am only speculating here so please bear with me. We tend to forget that these physical dollars need to be replaced, got a current life of, what, two years? So let us compare this to your local supermarket. They need more dollars, they make an order to their bank for another $100,000. The bank takes the money out of their account and sends them the dollars. I think that may be the same way Iraq replaces their dollars, and the same way the rest of the countries do. That would not come from the reserves, just oil money. I think the FED ships physical dollars all over the world to replace the dollars that need to be replaced, much like you and I going to the local bank and turning in a bad note. These dollars have to be replaced or Iraq would not have the physical dollar to sell for dinars. The whole world banking system is complex to say the least. All of the physical dollars that were brought into that country have had to be replaced at some point. The only way they can do that is through the FED. Let us go back to the supermarket. Turn your junk in and get a replacement. Has to come from the FED. That comes out of your current account, not your reserves. So do they do dinars the same way? I don't know. If this were an internationally traded currency, I'm sure you could go to the local bank and get another dinar for the one that was bad and Iraq would trade it out. They get more dollars, you get your dinars. Just a thought.

Economics is pretty simple. When I can't sell as much of my product to my customers because they don't have any money because they don't have a job, then I don't have as much money. Means I can't spend as much. My product is double what it was 5 years ago, but the government says inflation is in check. Now if I can use your money and your plane ,like Obama, and go any where I want, anytime I want, for whatever reason I want, I would do it too. My little neck of the woods is a very long way from any recovery. Obama has way too much on his mind to spend any time in the office and make decisions, gotta get reelected you know.

I might be dating myself a little bit here, but when I was going to college and working in a gas station, regular was 24.9 cents. Sometimes a gas war would come along and it would drop to 15.9 cents. Making good money at $1.25/hr.
