Silly thought...but gonna throw this out there anyways... If in fact we are close to an RV, doesn't it make sense that they'd want to RV prior to these distributions of 50,00-150,000 dinars/month per recipient? (which looks like it begins soon) The reason I say this is because it would at least give the GOI an opportunity to make amendments to the allocation amount accordingly (to the new rate)...whereas if they RV'd post-implementation of such program, there'd be a lot of exposed currency to the revalued rate...which would make Iraqis lotsa moolah (regardless of smart card route)... If I'm missing something logically simple, would love to hear others' perspectives. That's my 23.54 dinar...

I listened to it...my cliff notes summary: - UN Rep. Melkert basically said that while they've made big strides, they still have a ways to go (basic services, national security, etc.) - There was also mention of the importance of getting the remaining ministries position filled - A lot of activities going on to bolster the Private sector - Continued high unemployment levels (17%+ ) - Confirmation of the plans to increase oil production - etc. For the enquiring minds, I didn't hear much re: monetary policy (not that I would expect to)

Hey USHistoryteacher, Not sure to what extent you've read up on all the information available...but because of the nature of your question, I'm guessing you haven't sifted through much of what has been posted (here or elsewhere)... For what it's worth, here are my suggestions (for credible info): - It's a slippery slope, but you can repost your question in the "RV & Dinar Questions" section. I say repost because the very title of this post will lead to a quick dead-end. It's a slippery slope because most people (including myself) will either say nothing or tell you to read some more...BUT you may get a taker that tries to sum up this investment without writing a novel...(again, if you go back and read old posts, much of what you're looking for is right there...both point and counterpoints) - Find Scooter's Trifecta Theory posts...there aren't many other people I can think of that could do a better job analyzing the landscape of this investment...Doc31 is another one that does a great job explaining certain things based on CBI auction figures - Use multiple sources for information (there are several good websites available) - Lastly, I haven't read it, but for brownie points, I'll suggest that you read Adam's book It shouldn't take long to decipher who means well on this board and who doesn't... Welcome harleyrider1! I'm giving you your first +1 for your first post...my only advice is to read and stay level-headed about the investment... As far as what to do with your time post-RV, you'll have a great thing called choice... Go RV!

Good post RSS...the only thing I disagree with is you having to apologize to these gurus (ie. liars) tomorrow if it does in fact RV...do they ever apologize for their blatant lies or follow through to explain why their intel was wrong? I equate them to mosquitoes: annoying, blood-thirsty, always seem to buzz around and go "ping" in your ear, etc... Do I have a problem splatting a skeeter when it's trying to suck my blood? Absolutely not!

IMHO, I don't think it's tough for these pumpers to mix a cocktail of different intel: - news that they read online - unsubstantiated claims hovering on the forums - weaving of a little white lie (ex. my contact who I trust dearly said "blah blah blah") - any other BS they can think of Pumpers may not collude but I'm sure everyone reads and posts on all these sites...they live among us...spooky

I hope I don't get dinged by saying this but I somewhat agree with Vern...I wasn't worried about the site shutting down or anything like that, but from what I have experienced elsewhere, there usually was a communication via email to the members of the "sorry for your inconvenience, we are working on it...blah blah blah" Equate this example to waiting to board a plane at 7pm...7:30pm rolls around and no communication from the airlines...8pm still nothing...etc...all passengers want is a little communication that's all. Now I'm just a regular member so I'm not sure if the VIPs are offered such service... So, in the cyber-suggestion box, I would say it's not a bad idea to send a mass email next time?

These pumpers have zero credibility...They spin these web of lies and never follow through to explain why certain intel was off (ex. what happened to the "pinging of the back screens" and "thomson reuters...in motion...can't stop now" BS??? etc etc etc etc etc)...it's actually embarrassing to see people fall for that crap... Karma is a beeeotch...there will be a day where these lies catch up with them... Having good morals/ethics is doing the right thing when no one is looking

I completely agree! It was painful to listen to...I had to push the number 6 a bunch of times to finally fast-forward out of the hypnosis...I looked down at my phone and all I saw was "666666666"...not sure if that was a good sign LOL

Now that's funny! I recently heard this Tony guy on a con call recording...and he sounds like he hasn't been to the doctor's for a checkup in a very long time (ya know when someone just sounds unhealthy?)...I found it comical how he mentioned he was going to go shop for a helicopter, etc...I wish I was as cool as him... What amazes me is that on this con call, all that was discussed were these peoples' "sources" that told them "such and such" and that they don't want to reveal much more info, blah, blah, blah because they don't want to get in trouble...BUT not once did they talk about the hard facts such as Ch. 7, HCL, WTO, Ministry positions, etc...which from my understanding are the LEGITIMATE pending items that need to be squared away before an RV is possible... Good entertainment...
