Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Tuesday issued an order allowing women in the kingdom to drive the car.
According to the order issued by the Saudi King's Court that not allowing women to drive the car leads to many negatives, stressing in the context that allowing them to lead the vehicle has many positives, taking into account the application of the necessary legal controls and compliance. 
The statement added that the majority of the members of the senior scientists do not see a ban on allowing women to drive the vehicle, while finding the necessary legal and regulatory guarantees. 
King Salman ordered in the statement issued the adoption of the provisions of the Traffic Law and its executive regulations, including the issuance of driving licenses, to both males and females. 
He called for the formation of a high-level committee of ministries of interior, finance, labor and social development to study the necessary arrangements to enforce this. He pointed out that the committee should raise its recommendations within thirty days from the date of implementation. .

A lot of good will come out of this.  The Sunnis realize they can develop at least three more power blocks: culturally, politically and economically by doing this.  I don't think they're all that interested with empowering women as they are attempting to intimidate the Irainian Shites that there is a power shift taking place in the ME.

The Princess Noura Bint Abdulrahman University in Saudi Arabia has announced its intention to set up a women's school to train the women in the kingdom after the royal decree allowing them to do so starting next June.

The announcement was the first of its kind following the order of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz last week to allow women to drive in the kingdom.

It is expected that allowing women to drive will increase car sales, especially in the coming months, before the introduction of VAT.

It is estimated that there are about 10 million Saudi women and residents in the Kingdom are entitled to drive.

The first Saudi woman dies while driving the car

(Independent) .. Saudi media announced the death of the first Saudi woman, while driving the car.

The city of Jeddah recorded the first death of a woman in the kingdom while driving the car in a traffic accident, the Saudi daily Al Watan reported.

She pointed out that the woman was driving her car in Ajwad neighborhood in Jeddah with her husband, but the car was hit by a concrete barrier, which resulted in serious injuries and died in the hospital.

The Saudi police explained that the body was transferred to the King Fahd Hospital, and pointed out that the woman was driving a car of the type "Lexus 2016," did not own, and was held on a smartphone was in possession of its facilities and refer the vehicle to lift fingerprints on the steering wheel, the incident.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz issued a royal decree at the end of September granting women the right to drive cars.
