CBI saying they have at close to 60 billion USD in the bank for reserves.

They are saying the CBI has 59 billion 500 million in reserve. That this amount is sufficiant to take their curreny to global status.

@ Viz........I like the statement "will Increase the confidence of global economies in Iraqi Currenciy" I doubt that global confidence would be garnered should they choose to remove the zero's from the currency. Really appears to me that iraq wants to stand on its own two feet financially!... just saying

Its not just USD that they have in reserve. They have about 45% (USD), 40% (EUR), 15 % (GBP).. Having diversified currencies gives them balance. Not having all eggs in the basket in this case is a good thing. :-)
