  2. Not sure what to think about this article. It obviously illustrates to the people of Iraq and the world how the new currnecy would work. Ok, I get that. On the flip side, this artilce was posted June 6, 2011 or July 7, 2011 (Depding on if you are reading American dates or Iraqi dates) either way, it was almost a year ago. Here is the link to the site I found http://revalue.us/go/31326Ea0

  5. <BR><BR><BR><BR>To Bondlady's credit, I just calculated the auctions from Dec-1 through Dec-28.<BR><BR>The number is $3,737,969,000<BR><BR><BR>So that equals almost 4 TRILLION DINARS. So they pulled almost 4 Trillion IQD off the market in less than 30 days. There were 9 days where NO ACUTIONS were done. IF this is the case, I truly believe we are sitting in RV row!!
  6. Not to throw cold water on this because it is a ton of good news coming out. However the link date is from 5/22/2011...
  7. Its not just USD that they have in reserve. They have about 45% (USD), 40% (EUR), 15 % (GBP).. Having diversified currencies gives them balance. Not having all eggs in the basket in this case is a good thing. :-)
  8. Oil Giants in $100 Billion Iraq Investment Posted on 19 October 2011. [/url] ExxonMobil, BP and Eni plan to spend around $100 billion to upgrade their three oilfields in southern Iraq, Thamer Ghadhban, top energy adviser to the Iraqi Prime Minister said on Wednesday. According to the report from the Wall Street Jounal, some $50 billion would be spent to upgrade Exxon’s supergiant West Qurna Phase 1 oilfield, with the remaining $50 billion being spent by BP and Eni to upgrade the Rumaila and Zubair oil fields respectively. “The bulk (of the finance) is for West Qurna 1 because the Rumaila and Zubair fields were well advanced in terms of development, such as number of wells, oil field facilities, other infrastructure, while West Qurna phase 1 needs more,” he told reporters at the Iraq Mega Projects conference in Istanbul. The three fields are now pumping around 2 million barrels a day, which is the bulk of Iraq’s total oil output of 2.9 million barrels a day. A BP spokesman said it was too early to forecast the exact size of the group’s investment in Rumaila. “We’re working with our partners and the Iraqi government on a detailed field development plan. Obviously, our plan is to invest enough to reach the production targets agreed in our contract,” said the spokesman. (Source: Wall Street Jounal) http://www.iraq-busi...raq-investment/
  9. It is definitly from a reputable news source.. National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) Here is the link.. http://www.ninanews.com/English/News_Details.asp?ar95_VQ=FIIHMI Calmly smiling here..
  10. http://www.wasatonli...7-54&Itemid=123 There is the link.. In other words Biden said hurry the heck up and get this done. The Iraqi people, America and the World needs this done now! The request of Joe Biden US vice president in a telephone call from President Jalal Talabani to initiate immediately after his return to Iraq, to convene a meeting that includes all heads of the political blocs to discuss the crises facing the country. Biden expressed alarm over the US government of the crises that afflict the political process, and the failure to reach agreements of important issues such as the security ministries and the participation of some of the blocs in the government. Al-Talabani confirmed of Biden that he will seek to be invited to the heads of the political blocs, and urged them to get out important decisions, to end the state of the intersection between sharp political blocs.
  11. Just tie in the global events that are happening this week specifically. All of the central bankers around the world are injecting liquidity into the markets. Don't take my word for it. CNBC reported it this past week.
  12. http://www.cnbc.com/id/44556652/ I find this article related to our investment! I think it is very good news coming in the coming week.... Just my opinion.
  13. Check it out at http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/07/19/debt.talks/index.html?hpt=hp_t1 If this was holding the RV up now things should be rolling.. Oh yea..
  14. There is no way they are coming out with a 50,000 & 100,000 Dinar note. It was an article a couple months back in regards to them coming out with that type of denomination but to my knowledge they didnt vote on it. The article that came out last week basically said what they were going to do. Come out with a denomination class just like US.. (pun intended) 100,50(which is already in circulation), 25, 10, 5, & 1 Dinar notes..
  15. I have this currency app on my phone and I just checked IQD/USD and as of June 30th, there is no data. I don't want to put too much in this but I find it interesting that there is no charts or data avaliable as of now. Not sure if its reading that way on Netdania or ForexPros.. Just wanted to share.
  16. Ok... I was not going to say anything but I am.. Dont really care about the bashing that I am about to recieve... The 14th amendment to The Constitution clearly states: <LI>Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time).... THIS QUALIFIES HIM TO RUN FOR BE THE PRESIDENT!! Barack Obama mother is an AMERICAN.. In my Okie tone.. Nuff Said... So get off the bashing the President bandwagon and lets focus on what is at stake here.. THE RV... Whether you like BO or not he is our President. Just like we support the troops we should support the President. That doesnt mean that we have to like everything he does but its so many... Now has he screwed up a lot?? Yes.. In the past, which one of our past Presidnets were perfect?? I know that this ride is coming to a halt soon so I could care less if I get bashed about this post.. I will be laying in the sun getting my tan on sipping Patron Margaritas.. Have a great day and GO RV.. Semper Fi
  17. Rope, that is way to funny.. If I could give you another PLUS I would.... Semper Fi
  18. I just noticed something on the UN Operational Rates of Exchange site. Ok so follow me here. On the home page, it says publishing date is Feb 25, 2011 which is today but the Effective date is March 1, 2010...???? https://treasury.un.org/operationalrates/Default.aspx Now every other date clearly says 2011.. On the operational rates page for the Iraqi Dinar it was coincidently updated the same day. MARCH 1, 2010 https://treasury.un.org/operationalrates/OperationalRates.aspx Not quite sure what to think about this but thought it was at least worth posting. Maybe some of you can shed some light on this. Go RV
  19. Haha.. Wow these guys in Iraq are something special huh?? One minute they are meeting. The next they are not. IMO if the RV doesnt take place this week, its going to be ugly. The heck with what the rate is. JUST RV Dammit! For the IRAQI ppl and for US of course :-) Ok thank you back to your regular scheduled programming. I have a great deal of patience but Dang! Semper Fi.

  22. Iraq man dies of self-immolation to protest rising unemployment Protesters also set themselves on fire during unrest in Tunisia and Egypt, where anti-gov't sentiment ultimately resulted in the toppling of those countries' regimes. By DPA Tags: Israel news Iraq Egypt protest An Iraqi man has died after setting himself ablaze in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul to protest against unemployment, police sources said Sunday. An Iraqi riot policeman holding a stick as he stands guard in front of residents protesting in Baghdad, February 11, 2011. Photo by: Reuters The 31-year-old man set himself on fire when he could not find a job, the sources told the German Press Agency DPA. He was married and had four children. The region has seen a series of self-immolation suicide attempts, starting on December 17 when Tunisian Mohamed Bouazizi set himself ablaze in a protest against his country's high unemployment rate. Thousands of Iraqis have been protesting this month, demanding better living standards, improved services and less corruption. The growing unrest prompted Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to cut his salary in half to help "reduce the gap in the living standards for the different classes." More protests are nevertheless planned, including one that is described as a "Revolution of Iraqi Rage," to be held on February 25 near the Green Zone. Some activists have called for the overthrow of the government, which was formed in December after nine months of political stalemate. The political unrest in Egypt, Yemen and Algeria has seen anti- government protesters calling for more employment opportunities, reform and democracy. The demonstrations in Tunisia and Egypt ultimately toppled the regimes in both countries. http://www.haaretz.c...oyment-1.343162 They better get their head out of the sand or its going to get real UGLY over there in IRAQ.
  23. I think that they are playing "musical curriencies", maybe the IQD is where the music STOPS..
