Pres. Re-Election and the RV

Recommended Posts

I'm curious, what do you feel is the most advantageous moment to RV if you are a President seeking re-election? Timing would be critical, especially during these times of financial hardship. Would November 2011 be too early ? Any and all points of view are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

If it were a case of the President having any say so the great warrior GW would have made his grand exit with forcing a RV.......even a man of his mental capacity would have helped this country's economic collaspe........it would have gave him an excellant way to put on his bomber jacket and declare victory again.....saddenly it didn't happen.....so if he and Cheney who had all the power to issue no bid contracts to the VP's companies....with all this power and still no RV..it just shows the Whitehouse most likely is not a player in the RV....

Keep in mind the words of Rahm Emmanuel, Obama's former chief of staff, regarding the exploitation of "a good crisis." In order for an RV to have the maximum impact on the 2012 elections, Obama will have to be seen as "saving" the country from a dire situation. That tells me that, if the US has ANY influence at all over the timing of an RV (and it very well may not!), Obama will want the economic situation to deteriorate even further, so the maximum number of people are REALLY scared, and he will be seen by them as saving the country. If that does occur, it won't matter who the Repubs field as a candidate; Obama will breeze to re-election.

Moral of the story: be careful what you ask for (regarding the RV). You just may get it, but not in the way you think!

This comment makes me wonder how in the world you got that name.

Maybe the Bush boys don't want it to happen with a Dem in office..... I would imagine they want it to be known that a Rep thought of the way to make big money and that a Dem would not look good if it happened while in power...... Politics, Money and Religion sure make strange bedfellows don't you think
