I love this site, but it bothers me to see so many people making daily posts about how great they think these candidates are as opposed to Ron Paul. It's amazing what a little research will do for your mind. The NEWS is "pumping" you daily with Bachman, Cain, Perry, Gingrich and completely ignoring Dr. Paul. Why? .... Because if he's elected president, the game is over. The money, the wars, the looting, the nanny state, the police state, the Federal Reserve, the IRS, is gone. If he wins, America will no longer be dependent on foreign oil; Americans will no longer pay an income tax; the government will no longer be able to assassinate you for "suspected terrorist activities, like buying water proof matches"; the Treasury will start printing out money again; the US Dollar will once again have value; the housing market will stabilize; the foreign aid in the trillions will stop; the troops will come home, and I could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on.

Ron Paul may not be the great orator of the times; he may not have a slick hair do; he may not be on the cover of GQ magazine; he may not be a slick-slimy politician, but one thing you can take to the bank: He's a Patriot, and the man has NEVER once swayed in his voting record and opinion on what he thinks the role of government should actually be. He is truly a MAN OF HIS WORD!

Ron has some great ideas (along with some others), and he no doubt would do a better job than "O", and possibly better than most...but he will never get elected, just not acceptable enough to the voters.

I hope O loses, and ANYONE in the Republican side will be better. Mitt would win, (and may) if it weren't for some of his baggage. I don't see anyone with enough experience for my liking, and certainly not Michelle yet. I like Rick, but I don't think the country will accept another Texan for a while (too bad). They all have flaws and weaknesses, but Ron is way down the list. Perhaps Mitt (or Rick) & Michelle (VP) would be a winning ticket? JMO

Hey Carbon, I agree with every word you said, especially about his voting record being exemplary. That's something I have never seen before in any political candidate. Usually you can tell when a politician is lying because his lips are moving.

RON PAUL is a throwback to the days when this country was founded, wants all the merits of the original constitution re-instated, and to put America back on track by getting rid of the Fed (so we print our own money again instead of renting it), and eliminating the IRS. I believe those traits alone should be sufficient to have him elected, but as you pointed out, he's not a "pretty boy" nor really eloquent. Maybe BO is both of those things, and he has proven that neither trait makes an outstanding statesman of Paul's character.

I liked one commentators from Texas's views the other night when he said Perry didn't have a chance, but believed that the prople who found George "W" too cerebral would vote for him. LOL

Dr. Paul is no idiot. He's very well aware of the happenings in the ME, and like I said in previous threads "He wants peace and free trade with all, but if they insist on being terroristic assholes, he'll deal with them".

I have 4 children and I worry about how America will be for them in 10-15 years so I have did my homework and I'm gonna vote for Perry. (I liked him before he announced he was running, I didn't just start researching him last week)

I am happy to see Perry get in.....he waited as long as possible his debate skills are horrible...so he was able to miss a few ......he has deep pockets with the oil industry backing which provide Texans with jobs......maybe if he becomes President all Texans will be tax exempt...he campains on the republican stance of less government but he is a career politician...oh he was yell leader at Texas A&M......that may count as some type of job if your an Aggie.....It is great to have another conservative right winger in the mix....hopefully one of them gets the nominee to oust Romney....the only GOP candidate which would have a chance to beat Obama.....the extreme right will never win a national election.....I say GO TEA PARTIERS/RIGHT WING RUSH fanatics they don't need the center that would be sinful....

You and I are not at all at odds regarding this post. Ron Paul is truly a Constitutionalist. That's the problem with getting him elected. A massive majority of America's citizenry has accepted middle of the road as their mantra. Don't get me wrong. I support him. I push his ideas. I would love to see him elected... and then there's the Washington grid-lock. The only way around that would be if he won the Presidency with such an astounding landslide majority and enough Washingtonians were put to the curb that the rest of them would "get it". It's a long shot at best...

The one thing I am sure of is that four more years of a socialist agenda would put America flat on her ^$$.

Everyone needs to remember that who ever is elected President, he or she will have the same lame duck Congress that is only interested in thier own agendas. A new president is needed but moreover, a new Congress is needed even more.

Ron Paul sounded pretty good but when he started talking about Iran he lost me a little and he seems to have a little wacky factor to him that i am just not

confident enough will take Big O down, Perry seems to be stronger in Character and i think more people will like that come vote time.
