Nearly Half of Department of Education Employees Laid Off in Reduction of Force by Secretary Linda McMahon

U.S. Department of Education Initiates Reduction in Force

As part of the Department of Education’s final mission, the Department today initiated a reduction in force (RIF) impacting nearly 50% of the Department’s workforce. Impacted Department staff will be placed on administrative leave beginning Friday, March 21st.

“Today’s reduction in force reflects the Department of Education’s commitment to efficiency, accountability, and ensuring that resources are directed where they matter most: to students, parents, and teachers,” said Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. “I appreciate the work of the dedicated public servants and their contributions to the Department. This is a significant step toward restoring the greatness of the United States education system.”

The Department of Education will continue to deliver on all statutory programs that fall under the agency’s purview, including formula funding, student loans, Pell Grants, funding for special needs students, and competitive grantmaking.

All divisions within the Department are impacted by the reduction, with some divisions requiring significant reorganization to better serve students, parents, educators, and taxpayers.

If people have a problem with the Feds backing away from a States responsibility under the Constitution then each State need to pick up where the Feds backed off from. Education of the populace belongs on the State level. Nowhere in the U.S. Constitution is the Dept of Education authorized.

HUD Secretary Scott Turner Rejects Asheville’s $225M Disaster Relief Request After Shocking DEI Clause Exposed

image.png.a41ed1cc53f96a6c0ff5740b18e63866.png

Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner has decisively rejected Asheville, North Carolina’s outrageous $225 million disaster relief request.

The reason? A jaw-dropping Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) clause buried deep in the city’s draft action plan—a clause that prioritizes woke ideology over the urgent needs of everyday Americans still reeling from Hurricane Helene’s devastation six months ago.

In an interview with Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo, Secretary Turner condemned the city’s initial draft action plan for prioritizing assistance based on race and gender identity rather than need.

“This draft action plan that the city of Asheville presented at first has elements of DEI, and that is not acceptable to HUD,” Turner told Bartiromo.

“It’s not acceptable to the President, according to his executive order to get rid of all DEI. We’re working with the city of Asheville. They have been very responsive to make sure that their upcoming draft action plan is in compliance with HUD and how we give funds out according to HUD’s principles.”

“We’re happy to be here. They’re working with us, and we’re looking forward to helping the people of Asheville recover from this disaster.”

FBI Director Kash Patel Turns Over First Batch of Explosive Jan. 6 Pipe Bomb Docs to House Republicans

“As a sign of good faith, we are providing this initial production more than a week ahead of the Committee’s subpoena deadline,” Assistant Director Marshall Yates wrote in the letter.

“But this will not be the last production we will send to satisfactorily comply with the Committee’s subpoena. To that end, we are diligently working to completely comply with your subpoenas.”

“Given the diverse and broad subject matters implicated in your requests, the FBI is providing the following initial response, with more documents being identified and prepared for future production in short order.”

Included in this groundbreaking release were key documents labeled as “FBI-HJCI19-PB-000001 through 000030,” which detail the Bureau’s investigation into the still unsolved January 6th pipe bomb mystery.

Kash Patel’s FBI Charges High-Ranking CBP Official in FEMA Fraud Scheme Scandal

image.png.674f0f4d182246f1f5e56bbe295c6429.png

Serina Baker-Hill

“During the course of the investigations, it was discovered that both HILL and Maurice had engaged in a scheme to defraud FEMA after flooding occurred in Detroit, Michigan on August 24, 2023,” wrote FBI Special Agent Andrew J. Matas.

When agents confronted Ms. Hill in a 2024 interview, she lied to them, Mr. Matas said.

FBI Director Kash Patel celebrated the case on social media.

“This is part of the new FBI’s renewed efforts to crack down on public corruption and deliver accountability for the American people,” he wrote. “Justice will be done.”

EPA Launches Biggest Deregulatory Action in U.S. History: Zeldin Rolls Out 31 Groundbreaking Actions to Save Americans TRILLIONS, Slash Costs and Supercharge Job Growth

Zeldin specifically called out numerous Biden-era regulations that he characterized as “suffocating,” burdensome, and devastatingly costly to everyday Americans.

Among the regulations being reconsidered are the following:

UNLEASHING AMERICAN ENERGY

  • Reconsideration of regulations on power plants (Clean Power Plan 2.0)
  • Reconsideration of regulations throttling the oil and gas industry (OOOO b/c)
  • Reconsideration of Mercury and Air Toxics Standards that improperly targeted coal-fired power plants (MATS)
  • Reconsideration of mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program that imposed significant costs on the American energy supply (GHG Reporting Program)
  • Reconsideration of limitations, guidelines and standards (ELG) for the Steam Electric Power Generating Industry to ensure low-cost electricity while protecting water resources (Steam Electric ELG)
  • Reconsideration of wastewater regulations for coal power plants to help unleash American energy (Oil and Gas ELG)
  • Reconsideration of Biden-Harris Administration Risk Management Program rule that made America’s oil and natural gas refineries and chemical facilities less safe (Risk Management Program Rule)

LOWERING THE COST OF LIVING FOR AMERICAN FAMILIES

  • Reconsideration of light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty vehicle regulations that provided the foundation for the Biden-Harris electric vehicle mandate (Car GHG Rules)
  • Reconsideration of the 2009 Endangerment Finding and regulations and actions that rely on that Finding (Endangerment Finding)
  • Reconsideration of technology transition rule that forces companies to use certain technologies that increased costs on food at grocery stores and semiconductor manufacturing (Technology Transition Rule)
  • Reconsideration of Particulate Matter National Ambient Air Quality Standards that shut down opportunities for American manufacturing and small businesses (PM 2.5 NAAQS)
  • Reconsideration of multiple National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for American energy and manufacturing sectors (NESHAPs)
  • Restructuring the Regional Haze Program that threatened the supply of affordable energy for American families (Regional Haze)
  • Overhauling Biden-Harris Administration’s “Social Cost of Carbon”
  • Redirecting enforcement resources to EPA’s core mission to relieve the economy of unnecessary bureaucratic burdens that drive up costs for American consumers (Enforcement Discretion)
  • Terminating Biden’s Environmental Justice and DEI arms of the agency (EJ/DEI)

ADVANCING COOPERATIVE FEDERALISM

  • Ending so-called “Good Neighbor Plan” which the Biden-Harris Administration used to expand federal rules to more states and sectors beyond the program’s traditional focus and led to the rejection of nearly all State Implementation Plans
  • Working with states and tribes to resolve massive backlog with State Implementation Plans and Tribal Implementation Plans that the Biden-Harris Administration refused to resolve (SIPs/TIPs)
  • Reconsideration of exceptional events rulemaking to work with states to prioritize the allowance of prescribed fires within State and Tribal Implementation Plans (Exceptional Events)
  • Reconstituting Science Advisory Board and Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee (SAB/CASAC)
  • Prioritizing coal ash program to expedite state permit reviews and update coal ash regulations (CCR Rule)
  • Utilizing enforcement discretion to further North Carolina’s recovery from Hurricane Helene

“For me, the U.S. Constitution and the laws of this nation will be strictly interpreted and followed—no exceptions. Today, the Green News scam ends, as the EPA does its part to usher in the golden age of American success,” Zeldin said.

“Our actions will lower the cost of living by making it more affordable to purchase a car, heat your home, and operate a business. Jobs will be created, especially in the U.S. auto industry, and our nation will become stronger for it. From the campaign trail, to day one, and beyond, President Trump has delivered on his promise to unleash energy dominance and lower the cost of living. We at the EPA will do our part to power the great American comeback,” he added.
